Dr. Whalen has been my dentist for like 10 years or maybe more. I hate going to the dentist. When I was little, every visit to the dentist was a nightmare. I remember going to the dentist, drinking an anesthetic to put me to sleep, and then waking up in a cot with a bunch of dental assistants surrounding me, being so confused and starting to cry, then getting strapped down to the cot, and a dentist drilling my teeth. So I’ve been traumatized. I’ve jumped from dentist to dentist until I got Dr. Whalen. He doesn’t terrify me like the others did. Still, having a stranger’s hands all up in my grill is annoying, but the half yearly dental clean ups are a must.
He’s nice and professional. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes. He talks to you while he cleans your teeth so the 30 minute cleaning goes by quick. Everytime I visit he lets me know where I’m lacking in terms of cleaning my teeth and how to fix the problem. Also, he never pushes any unnecessary extra dental services. He’s recommended my favorite and only orthodontist. When the time came for my wisdom teeth to get pulled out, he recommended me to another nice facility. I’ve never had a problem with scheduling appointments with him too.

Been coming here to see Dr. Whalen for quite some time now. Even the kids come here. He is really great & knows his stuff. I’ve known him for quite some time & really think he is one of the best in the business. His staff is very courteous & are on top everything that needs to be done. The only problem I have with him is he cheers for usc.
