Best customer service in the mall! There’s a guy named Sam here with the most genuinely positive and polite attitude! And he’s on top of his craft! I think he’s a manager or shift leader because he is always very focused and seems to run the show there. The rest of the staff is always helpful and friendly as well! The food is always fresh at this location and they never run out of products! I’ve been to some subway restaurants where they’re out of main ingredients and don’t seem to want to be there… Glad this one is close enough to eat my lunch there multiple times a week!

BETWEENTHEREVIEWS w/Rodney S Q) So, Rodney, are you a big sandwich fan? A) Actually, Rodney, I’m not a frequent sandwich consumer. I only partake every so often, when it’s convenient & I’m in a hurry. Q) Subway is one of the more recent tenants of the Los Cerritos Center food court. Why did you patronize this Subway, as opposed to one of the nearby brick & mortar locations in Cerritos? A) Location, location, location. I was at the mall, redeeming my free birthday month burger at Red Robin & to spin the virtual prize wheel at the KOST1035 booth, celebrating the grand opening of Pandora. We were going to the Cypress Concerts at the Park later on, so Subway seemed the perfect portable concert munchie. Q) What stood out to you, Rodney? A) Efficiency, Rodney. Everything was a well oiled machine. Plenty of staff were at the ready with the sandwich creation station. My Italian BMT was made in a flash, each staff member friendly and cordial. There was a small line, but very minimal wait. Considering it’s the mall with a swarm of hungry masses at any given time, kudos to the staff for being on their game. Service was faster than the brick & mortar Subways I’ve normally frequented. Q) Would you recommend this Subway? A) But, of course. My sandwich was satisfactorily made & I was ready to go within minutes. Again, I don’t buy sandwiches often, but I wouldn’t mind coming back when I get a hankering for them. I literally haunt the various wings of the Los Cerritos Center, so the staff at Subway will see me soon. Recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

No clue what«JY» was talking about in their review. I give these workers major props for doing what they do. They are constantly busy, after all it IS a Subway in the mall. Seeing that I work at the mall, I come to this location often. The workers here may not have the friendliest impressions, but again, they are under a lot of pressure seeing that there is always a long line behind me whenever I go. They don’t necessarily have all the time in the world to ask how my day is going. It’s an assembly line. Still, they smile & ask whatever need be so that I can make my way toward the register. I didn’t get the impression once that they were rude or anything. During one visit, I remembered they were so busy that they ran out of their new garlic bread item which may be what happened unfortunately on JY’s review. The mall gets busy, it happens. I’m not saying that this location is THE best Subway I’ve been to. But it sure as hell beats a lot of the others that I’ve been to that sluggishly greet me «welcome to subway…» The reason why I am rating so highly is because I haven’t once had a complication with my order and I do see how busy they get.

I had a bad experience here the first time I stopped by here, but decided to try it again since nothing else in the food court appealed to me and I wanted to see if this Subway improved. Too bad that this is by far the worst Subway I have ever been to. I’ve noticed that Subway now sells garlic bread. Instead of ordering my usual 9-grain honey oat, I tried to order the garlic bread. The worker was like, «We don’t have garlic bread.» and gave me this look as if I was stupid. I was about to leave, because that was not how you treat customers. However, the worker next to her was like, «Dude! We have garlic bread! Check the top portion of the oven!» I shook my head at how some of these workers don’t know what they’re doing. My sandwich was passed on to another worker. The worker who was making my sandwich did a shitty job. I asked for lettuce and he didn’t fill up the sandwich with enough lettuce, so I asked for a bit more lettuce. After when I was requesting my successive vegetables, he started going overboard on them. I wasn’t even demanding my sandwich to be filled with a mountain load of veggies or anything. When I asked for salt & pepper, he went crazy on the salt & pepper. I’m probably gonna get hypertension in the future from eating too much salt. The worker needed to calm down! My sandwich was completed and passed on to another worker. She was unaware of what sandwich I ordered and decided to open up my sandwich wrapper! Dude, I’m standing right in front of you! Just simply ask me what I ordered and I will be happy to tell you what I ordered. I basically didn’t appreciate the fact that she could have dirty hands and a piece of hair could have fallen into my sandwich. My sister also told me that when a worker was making her sandwich, she caught the worker’s shirt touched her sandwich. Do they ever think about sanitation? It doesn’t seem like it. It was like a chain of shitty service. Well, I know it’s a Subway and I don’t expect wonderful customer service, but I felt that the workers here need to do a better job on sanitation and efficiency. I will never go back to this Subway. Don’t come to this location unless you want your sandwich mistreated by grubby paws.

First to review. Sweet! This Subway opened during the first weekend in April 2013 in the Los Cerritos Center food court in the former La Salsa location, between Steak Escape and Ruby Thai Kitchen. That spot had been vacant for a while, and Subway is only the second tenant in that location since the food court’s opening back in 1994. However, if you’ve been to one Subway, you’ve pretty much been to them all. They, do however, have a change machine for those who require coins for change. It’s like one of those change dispensers you find at grocery stores. It’s conveniently next to a tip jar. The service is actually pretty good. They have the latest super ovens/toasters, so it looks uniform, efficient and modern. They actually have company branded trays for those who«dine in»(ultimately, I think the mall should try to standardize the food court in terms of décor and theme, like Macerich’s Santa Monica Place mall food court). With regards to the prices, it’s a bit higher. This location doesn’t participate in the $ 5.00 Foot Long promo unfortunately. And I doubt they’re doing the«buy a breakfast sub, get a regular sub free in April» promo. The cheapest foot long sub would be something like the BLT sandwich there, which runs at $ 5.25(slightly higher than standard). That’s one of the items I usually get, along with spinach and the new creamy Sriracha sauce(get it while it’s «hot», get it?). This location, maybe because it’s new, is still very clean and looks sleeker than its neighbors. It’s also bright and well-lit, which subconsciously makes people more inclined to grab something to go. If you pass by, I think you too, like a moth to a blue electric light, will be drawn to pay up that extra $ 0.25 for a $ 5.25 foot long.
