Ample parking spaces. Not too crowded during the week. I love the traditional taste and food menus here. all day spaghetti is really good and great portion. Burgers are good. cant wait to try other menus. i know when i try one menu and if it tastes good, majority of other menus are good as well. This place is legit!

After reading some really bad reviews I thought I give it try one more time to see how true they were. I ordered the beef nachos and they were the worst nachos ever, it was extremely salty laced with season salt which I never heard of. No guacamole was added after the counter person stated there was and the beans were definitely can beans and the beef was indescribable. This order was made by Hispanic cooks and they don’t know how to make a decent nachos??? I am not coming back, this place is not the same it has gone downhill…

Used to come here since its near my house but after the new owner, it’s not the same anymore. I ordered chili cheese fries and the chili was cold and the cheese wasn’t even melted! We took it to the owner who is not a friendly person and he microwaved it! :/

The biscuits and gravy are delicious. I like the hash brown it was good. affordable place to take the family the restaurant is clean you can see the cooks making your food which makes me feel better.

I used to come here at least a few times a month but since the new owners have taken over:
— the food is very plain.
— No flavor what so ever.
— not the best customer service
— you may receive your food cold.
The only good thing about this place would be the menudo on Saturday and Sunday’s. Be advised the the condiments they have give you are now in smaller containers. It seems you have to pay for every little thing now.
It’s a place either you love it or hate it.

I use to go here a couple times a month. The manager mr. genaro was nice and the workers friendly.
New owners, workers and this place is not the same.
They want to charge for an extra ranch for your salad. I bought a large fries which looked like a small, I asked her if this was the large and she said yes. I told her it use to be bigger. She said not no more.
Seems like they are trying to save on electricity too, because it was hot inside.
I’ll be taking my money elsewhere.

So I decided to give them another shot since last month’s mixup. Called in my order (the girl who took my order was very nice & professional) and walked there to pick it up. Paid for it & a minute later, voila! bkfast was served! Happy camper once again. Like The Terminator says, «i’ll be baaack».

Like a lot of reviewers here, I too used to be a frequent visitor of this establishment. Before I knew (for sure) that the owners changed I could just tell by the way the business «changed». Food took too long, cashiers have become rude and … Well, just rude.
It was weird because the walls were/​ARE filled with «owner and customer» pics, and even though they OBVIOUSLY changed owners, they have kept those pics up. Which is nice, I guess. But also feels a bit like a poorly conducted «bait and switch» job trying to say, «hey we haven’t changed owners… It’s still the same old fashioned burger joint.» But, quite frankly, it isn’t :(.
The food on our LAST visit took 35 minutes :(and was cold :(. We won’t be back. But I guess it doesn’t matter because before our last visit we had frequented that place 1 X a week for 3 years.

I used to come here at least 2x a week with my coworkers, food was great & AC worked well. They changed ownership sometime over the summer & the quality has gone downhill. Portion sizes are much smaller, they now charge extra for tiny portions of ranch dressing the AC is barely on today (a 90 degree day).
Extremely disappointed with the new owners, not sure if we will be back.

I was a frequent customer, until the business was sold in June, 2015.
While I was waiting in line, one of the new owners coughed several times into his hands. He was right next ro the food preparation area. The coughing had a heavy phlegm sound. He then started handling food without washing his hands.
I was disgusted! I won’t be back.

Spontaneous breakfast with my coworkers the other day and due to lack of choices in the vicinity of our offices we ended up here. It’s basically your standard café breakfast with hash browns kinds of place which is part of a larger chain and if you don’t mind astronomical calories and fat in your food, it does the job when hunger takes over.
It was clean and actually cute enough for a Fantastic Café, with a Rubys-​like décor and the service was extremely friendly and pretty efficient which is a giant plus to me… always!
Overall, does the trick.

Place was clean. Prices was a little high. Service was good.
But, the food was terrible. I saw them double dip the fries. They took old fries, and re fried them for a minute to reheat them. Yak. I got a Chilli cheese burger. There was barely any chilli. Burger was a little dry. I got a little sick from the food. My friend got eggs. He said it was very average.

Back when I worked in Cerritos I always enjoyed taking occasional lunches at this place. It’s in a small plaza with a good amount of parking, but shared with other businesses. Once walking in you get a nice feeling with the atmosphere. You are immediately welcomed with countless pictures on the wall of customers. Some with the owner. That’s a good sign for community involvement. They do special fundraisers for charity/​youth groups.
What I normally have here is the patty melt and cheese fries. The patty melt is definitely on my top 5 list. The cheese fries are cooked well. They use fresh cheese. I usually ask for grilled onions on my fries and they give it a great taste.
They have a pretty big menu with different type of foods. I’ve never been a fan of places that serve all types of food. I say stick with a specialty type. That’s just my opinion, this place seems to be doing very well.

Not happy today. Just wanted French fries. The young lady put a new batch in with a batch already cooked and dropped in oil. well they came out extra crispy! I told her she got upset and and said, you don’t want them? I said no {I’m think of course not that’s why I mentioned it) so she grabbed from counter and threw them In the trash with attitude. and we come here all the time!!! Smh bad day stay home.

I grew up on the same street as this place and have seen it evolve from Steam City, to Fantastic Café, to now the Fantastic Burger Grill.
Right across from the ABC Unified School District office, you’ll find a place with burgers and fries with huge portions, along with a decent sampling of Mexican and Asian food for good measure. Basically, this place caters very to the demographics of the area it serves (Norwalk/​Cerritos).
You can get huge portions for relatively cheap prices here. A burger and fries will run you about $ 7, and it’s a lot better quality than you can get elsewhere.
This place is also very supportive of the local community and schools — Gahr, Cerritos, and Whitney High Schools have all done fundraisers here and there’s tons of pictures all over the walls in here of the local community. If you’re looking for a good brunch/​lunch spot somewhere in Cerritos that’s NOT Asian food or super healthy, come try this place!
