I love eating here! It’s always very quiet which is a nice change of pace, and the food is consistently great. I have yet to try something that I didn’t like.

I never would have expected a restaurant in a department store would be so good!!! The food and service is very good. I would recommend it to everyone. The grilled cheese and fries are tasty as well as the pizza. We go at least once a week since we found this place!!!

Went here a few weeks ago, ordered the chicken salad and though it tasted like wendy’s salad, I happened to find a human finger in it. A finger really… Disgusting!!! I brought it home and submitted it to the health department. Café Bistro will be hearing from the USDA real soon!

Always good, but this last time they ran out of the the ricotta tomato jam so I went with the hummus which was the worst I have ever had !!! This is what dog food must taste like! The salty feta and olives couldn’t mask the dry paste. The pita was even worst, I have accidentally eaten napkins that had more flavor. French onion soup is fantastic and piping hot as it should be :)The steak has improved a lot ! Better cuts and accurate cooking ! Too much butter though, the arugula salad is great and the frites were good. The salmon is slightly over cooked and buttery as well, finally the mushroom were excellent and for once, for once the risotto was not salty and perfect ! The deserts are slipping away from the once perfection, portions are lesser and they lack love. The service is always great. I believe this place would be a lot better if they eased up on the saltiness on some of the items.

Tucked away in Nordstrom upstairs and worth the stop. Casual atmosphere and good for kids. A health choice as the food is locally chosen and/or sourced at a high quality. The Salmon and risotto was very well done as well as pizza for the kids and steak for the others in the party. They missed the mark on cooking one of the stakes, maybe a little on the rare side for medium, so best to ask. Coloring crayons, raisins, and a kids menu to color help keep kids occupied.

Thank you for the most pleasant interaction while I ordered take out. The food is absolutely delish! I ordered the cilantro lime shrimp salad and wow, the shrimp… huge! The amount of shrimp… generous! Thank you so much!

Everything that I’ve ordered has been divine! The cilantro lime salad is delicious! The crab bisque soup is yummy. The bread pudding is like a piece of heaven. You cannot go wrong with anything that you order. Customer service is hit or miss. It’s either excellent or it sucks! But, the food is worthy of 5 stars. Who is the chef here!!! I’ve never been disappointed.

Ever since I watched itsjudytime and benjimanfood(kudos to you if you know what I’m talking about) frequent the café inside Nordstrom, I have been dying to try it for myself. It only took me a few years and the boyfriend helping me check off my list of bookmarks to finally come here. We made the trek out to Cerritos Mall to come here. For most, it’s a typical café to stop by to eat while shopping. But for me, this was a mission. This place can easily be overlooked and it’s very dim lit. We ordered up front with the cashier before choosing a seat for them to bring out meal. The two of us shared the Bistro Flat Iron Steak Frites(~$ 20) and the White Chocolate Bread Pudding(~$ 6). As many has mentioned, it’s definitely a little strange how a fancy place like this is done so by ordering first. Be sure to order your dessert ahead of time, so it’s all on one transaction.(Also note, you have to ask for the dessert menu as it’s not really advertised). First of all, the steak was amazing with the melted herb butter slathered on top of the steak. It was definitely cooked medium rare as some blood was oozing out exactly the way I like my steak cooked –yum! I did struggle a bit to cut the steak, but delicious nonetheless paired with their arugula salad. It was so simple, but so refreshing. Alongside, they gave plenty of garlic herb shoestring fries, which completed the meal very nicely. When we were done, they brought out our dessert, which I was most anxious for. The bread pudding was not too sweet, which I liked. The white chocolate and hints of raspberry also gave it a good citrus and sweetness to our meal. It was definitely a good ending. Overall, the place is delicious, but a place more of convenience than a must. They also ended the meal with some complimentary mint chocolate too.

My friend and I ate here this morning and unfortunately it just wasn’t at all appetizing to me. The servers and cashiers were really sweet and were very accommodating. Considering the fact that there was an electronic set back with the registers which ultimately impacted the speed in which they were able to take orders, they handled it well. Now back to my food: GREASY. Honestly, it’s the first word that comes to mind. A close second would be BLAND. How can I say this. No lie, it had to be the worst breakfast I’ve had in years. I ordered a breakfast sandwich. Simple right? Yah, I though so too. Aside from the bacon, which I swapped out for avocado, it sounded light yet still satisfying enough. It wasn’t. It was so greasy. And to make matters worse it wasn’t the seasoned type of greasy. Visually my sandwich looked shiny. That was a tell-tell sign that before me were two heavily, butter-laden bread slices. And they were. There was an egg(or two) cooked medium hard(greasy as well) sandwiched between two super thick slices of the most tasteless Swiss-like cheese(also greasy), topped with a generous amount of avocado, which I LOVE but… It too was covered in the excess oil/grease/butter or whatever was used in the sandwich. I didn’t say anything to the manager because clearly they were already having A hard time due to the fact that their computers weren’t working and I didn’t want to add to that burden. I pay $ 27 for both mine and my friends meal, drinks included. Based upon this one experience I probably would pass it up and never come back. I’ve been pestering my husband about Coming to this café but I don’t think I’ll be asking anymore. Absolutely without a shadow of a doubt. It’s not the end of the world but I will have to say I am really disappointed that I spent that amount of money, and left the least bit satisfied. But alas, life goes on. Two stars for the host and the servers.

Ah, the food is actually really good here! Portions are almost perfect. My only qualm is the price, but the atmosphere(dim — almost romantic) can make up for that. Basically, if you have enough to spend during a tiring shopping trip, this is your place!

I love this place. Good quality food, well priced for what you get, casual yet elegant, and great service. It is a order and pay first set up, then you choose where you want to sit then you have a server pick up your order and get your drinks. My server today kept asking me if I needed refills which I appreciated. The food was excellent and fresh. Very nicely plated as well.

Heads up: this place is INSIDE Nordstroms, on the 2nd floor. My husband and I got all dressed up ready to enjoy a quiet, romantic dinner at this cute little restaurant I found on Unilocal called Café Bistro. Doh! Didn’t know it was inside the mall, and is basically a glorified cafeteria-type setting!(And I read a lot of reviews too… so here’s my little service to the rest of y’all and just a warning that this is not a stand-alone restaurant, it’s just as the name implies… a café… and it’s in a department store)… and again I say, doh. –_– ANYWHO. One more important detail, you have to pay for the food BEFORE they order it. We thought that was a little odd considering how nice of place it seems. You’d think if they’re trying to run it like a classy little restaurant that they would treat it as such and let their patrons pay at the end of their meal. As a result, we had one charge for our entrees, another charge for our dessert which we ordered after we were finished eating, and yet another charge for the tip(they don’t allow you to write it on the receipt, and we didn’t have any cash). It was awkward to ask the waiter«We don’t have cash, how can we tip?» and then have to tell him the amount to put on our card. Mm… Not my favorite. The food was a-ok, nothing amazing, but certainly not bad! I had the ceasar salad which was actually really good, and my husband had the steak and fries entrée. We were both satisfied, and the prices were alright, although the steak seemed a little too high. The apple crisp dessert was AMAZZING though, I will say. Goodness. I forget the exact name of the dessert, so sorry. But if you see something about apple on the dessert menu… Eat it. Love it. All in all, it was a decent experience, but just not exactly what we were looking for. I’m sure for anyone passing through the mall, this has got to be the perfect comfy little place to take a rest from shopping and noise!

The ambiance is an upscale food court dining experience. It feels a little strange to place your order before you take a seat but like I said, you are at a mall not an actual restaurant. The music is very soothing but the AC was blasting a little too strong if you ask me. The Sunday crowd was moderate but the service was speedy and attentive. I ordered the Chicken and Goat Cheese Panini and it was worth the $ 11. The chicken was plentiful and the goat cheese was superb. The sun dried tomatoes added a touch of savoriness. The fries that accompany the dish were a bit too crunchy for my liking which was a surprise. The dipping sauce was very interesting. It was like an olive tapenade but instead of green, it was lavender. Kind of a mystery really. I mean how do you get that color into the sauce.

I must say that in the past, the service hasn’t been that great. After tonight’s visit, I was thoroughly impressed with the much improved customer service. I walked in at 7:55, which is five minutes until closing(they close earlier than the store). The gal greeted me with a smile, took my order, and seated me. Not once did I feel rushed to finish my meal knowing that they were closing in a few minutes. I even ordered a chocolate cake and stayed a little past closing. My service was outstanding and no one was trying to rush me out after closing time. Thank you Nordy Bistro!

Some restaurants can turn a new leaf, which is why I’m updating this review. The food is, as always, delicious! The service today was exceptional. Our server was friendly, attentively checked in and refilled our drinks, and everything was spot on. For her terrific service, happy to share the gratitude with a nice tip. Café Bistro has won me back and my boss loved it too!

I came here for the first time today which is crazy because I work in the mall and I have to say, it was really good! I had the margherita pizza and the bread pudding for dessert — they both were delicious! The service was good, our waitress was really nice. I will definitely be returning, I can’t wait to try more of their desserts.

This is my first time going back to Café Bistro since I was a little girl, and I was honestly impressed for what it was. I was a little(okay, very) indecisive as to what to order, so I decided to be safe(and try to save $$) by ordering the caesar salad w/chicken, and the curried cauliflower. The Caesar salad w/chicken breast was about $ 12, and it was definitely very flavorful! A little on the garlic end, but I love garlic so that didn’t bother me at all. I did have to pop a mint afterwards though. Lol. It’s definitely a large and filling salad, so I think I got my money’s worth. The curried cauliflower was so yummy! It was $ 6 for a small order, which was split between my cousin and me. It was mild in spice, but just enough to give it a kick. I was a little hesitant to go back to Café Bistro after not really liking it as a child, but between the food, ambiance, and little chocolate mint stick at the end of my meal, I have nothing bad to say about this place. Hope to come back here soon!

My husband and I come here almost once a week. The staff is great and the chefs(especially the head chef) do an amazing job(corporate, everyone here deserves a raise!). The weekly specials are consistently delicious, the only downside being that I want a dish again and its off the menu :(but replaced with something else delicious :) I’ve been to other Nordstrom Café/Bistro locations and found them to be lackluster. The ambience is always nice and quiet since it’s sort of tucked away. We love this place and will keep coming back(and I don’t even shop at Nordstrom)! Try: Cilantro Lime Shrimp Salad, White Chocolate Bread Pudding, Prime Rib Sandwich, Shrimp Risotto

Really really liked this place! I went at around 3PM on a Wednesday with my mom after a couple hours shopping, and decided to stop by here because of a friend’s recommendation. We ordered up in front, and can’t remember the exact names, but I ordered the angel hair pasta with chicken and my mom ordered a club sandwich of some sort. Customer service was great, the waitress was really attentive and made sure we were satisfied. I was surprised at how good the food was here! It wasn’t expensive at all, and the portions are pretty big. The fries included with my mom’s sandwich were AMAZING. Thin, crunchy, and they had a dipping garlic sauce! Made me wish I just had a separate order of fries… My pasta was really good too! The chicken was really nice and soft, not dry at all. Atmosphere was inviting and classy. I’m basically going to come here every time I go to the mall now…

Want to start this review off by saying the customer service was beyond phenomenal. The workers determine whether your experience was great or not because they’re the face of the Bistro. I was quickly greeted by Danielle and she helped me choose what I wanted to eat. She was patient, kind, and engaging as she made me feel extremely comfortable and special. The experience at the Bistro was something I’ve never gotten at any other restaurant and with that being said, this will definitely be where I bring all my loved ones whenever we’re too lazy to cook up a meal or if it’s just a special night out. The berry and fig salad was delicious and you definitely need to try the citrus turkey sandwich! It feels like thanksgiving and who doesn’t love that? Bottom line: GOTHEREANDEAT!!!
