The food was a good price and tasted well. In addition, the place was pretty clean. Overall, no complaints.

My family and I have been dining here since they were Phở 4 U. Their service is wonderful and efficient. I’m always happy with how quick they take our order. Aside from that, their food is always delicious. I appreciate the consistency as no matter how busy they are,(it’s a great place so majority of the time they’re busy) my Filet Mignon with Fried Rice is always delicious. I’ve had many of the dishes: Shrimp Phở, Vermicelli Combo, Fried Egg Noodles, Lemon Grass Chicken, and one of the newer items which has been added since becoming Blooming, the green papaya salad! Great service, amazing food and a great staff, makes this place a favorite.

Blooming is the new restaurant of the owners of Phở 4 U. They still make the same great food items that were on Phở 4 U’s menu and many other great ones as well. There are a TUN of phở places in the area, so when you find a great one you stick to it! We have loved Phở 4 U for years. Delicious phở, egg rolls, filet mignon, popcorn chicken. We love the bigger restaurant which is much better for groups and the outdoor seating is great!

The food here tastes fine but I always get sick when I eat here. I’ve found bugs in my soup on several occasions and the plastic chopsticks and plastic cups are dirty. Save your money and eat somewhere else.

Always wanted to check this place out and today was the day that I finally got to. The phở thai was good –tasty broth ample amounts of rare beef — it really hit the spot. The pork and shrimp rice dish was delicious as well. Bonus: they have the chilly oil hot sauce! –Makes all the difference. Their Iced Coffee was potent — sweet and had that caffeine and sugar kick you expect from Vietnamese coffee. This had me jittery and made me CRASH later that day… no bueno. The service was great. The place was clean and spacious. New go to phở joint for sure!

First time going to this place. Good location and very clean. Their letter grade is A. Service was good but the only thing that was not offered was a glass of water. Food was delicious, the papaya salad is great but not spicy according to the description on menu. The seafood phở was delicious and their Vermicelli with Grilled chicken and shrimp is my favorite personally and was not dissapointed at all. We will return.

So let me explain why the 1-star rating. Did you see the free Thai tea offer for checking in? Yeah, don’t bother. I asked for it and they said it was only for their grand opening 6 months ago and they left that offer there, but it’s no good anymore. Seriously? Then take it off. Not sure if I’m tipping today.

Awful Service! Unsavory Phở. There’s something so preculiar and sketchy about the people behind here. And you’re right Unilocal,my fingers are more dexterous than that because I want to talk about a few issues here. Dine In: March, 4 Friday Night 7:20pm When I walked in, no genuine smile, the man stood and gestured for me to choose a table. I came here to try the phở and note, I have been driving to places like a food critic to discover the best tasting phở. And this has to be the worst I’ve had so far. It’s not overwhelmingly awful enough where I threw up but the broth was very let see. flavorless and basic. Like hot water and salt. And a ton of MSG because I felt bad afterwards. For a regular size, they were pretty generous with the noodles and meat. The service was one of the ungenuine I’ve experienced. These are males I am talking about with attitudes upon their word use. I see it in their eyes, energy and mannerism. They were distasteful and just unpleasant to be served by. I then read the reviews some people wrote and I was like, «I am right! There is something very wrong with the male servers here.» And I see the manager responding in Donald Trump style to the low star reviews and conplaints with negativity and pointing fingers to it’s customers and devalidating their statements. Even if the service fell short, I could still support the business because growth requires stumbles and mistakes. Choosing to be disrespectful and unrighteous to your customers are not mistakes, it’s an act if will and choice. My experience proved how dissappointing your service actually was. Hope the service can develop plenty of genuineness. Very dissapponting.

First impression, BLOOMING looks to be a HIT with lots of tables filled with guests – they look happy. It being a Sunday night, I presumed it would be busy. I have to admit, I came in here with no expectations. I didn’t read through Unilocal reviews beforehand nor do I have any knowledge of BLOOMING merging from PHO4 U – never had it before. My friends and I were in the area and specifically wanted to try SHARETEA next door. But we figured we should have dinner first and we unanimously decided to get PHO. AMBIANCE: The place has a vibrant feel and looks spacious. Orchids, fortune plants and bamboo plants give off a tropical vibe added to the aquarium/pond on site. All very nice to look at. MUSIC: The volume was average. They were playing EDM music which didn’t fit the theme of the restaurant. That was a bit odd. EDM only caters to younger crowds unless your parents/aunts/uncles/gparents are into that too, that’s cool then haha. MENU: WOW. There’s so much to choose from. My friends and I truly had a hard time choosing. I was set on PHO but other dishes looked appetizing as well. Pictures help a lot but sometimes, it confuses me too. Let’s just say I wanted to try everything. Prices were acceptable. I thought it was smart of them to charge extra for more lime and onions(for the phở) – it’s my first time seeing that. PHO with TENDON: I only ordered a regular even though a large was less than $ 1 to upgrade. I still had a hard time finishing it! Lots of noodles and lots of tendon! The broth was basic, not too salty. Of course, I added the whole shebang in my soup(bean sprouts, lime, hoisin, sriracha) to make it better. Mind you, it’s been a long while since I’ve had phở so I was pleased with my order. I was a bit bothered by the noodle texture. I want to say it was a bit overcooked for our liking. I thought it was just me but my friends noticed it as well. I would give their phở a 4⁄5. SPRINGROLLS: It was alright. I’ve had better like Brodard. But then again, once you’ve had the best, everything else is BLEH. Blame Brodard for this(:0 It was semi difficult to give them 4⁄5 stars. Before writing this, I was almost swayed by other Unilocalers’ negative reviews. For us, it was a HIT. The server even let us split our bill into 3 with no hesitations. They constantly checked up on us and refilled our waters also. When we arrived, we were seated right away. I personally wanted a booth but none were available until a group left. We were even offered to move over before our food arrived so that was a plus for me! SO nice. I guess everyone was re-trained due to the negative reviews on here. I can vouch that all are improved! YAY. I see myself coming back here but not any time soon. I’m not local and not the biggest fan of phở in general. Ramen over Phở. I hope you keep bloomin’, BLOOMING!

I worked at Pho4U but only for a short amount of time, why? Because it was disgusting! Allen & Katy would make me reserve food that wasn’t eaten, such as the«fresh» veggies. Also, I was only allowed to clean everything with one rag! How disgusting is that! They also would serve water cups that were prepared the day before. I never ate there because of everything I saw behind scenes so I can’t judge their food, but I can judge their cleanliness and the way they would treat guest so for that I give 1 star. Hope they are no longer as careless as before.

Phở 4 U was my favorite Vietnamese restaurant so of course I support Blooming! My favorite is the Crispy Shrimp Eggnoodle, the Veggie Phở and the Fried Tofu! The food quality and taste has always been above and beyond and overall consistent goodness! A beautiful young family owns this restaurant so I always feel good to support good food and overall restaurant! Thank you for the endless good times. Read the hype and the Unilocal reviews and we were in the neighborhood, so thought we’d try this place for lunch. It’s got a cool ambience and a menu with lots of variety. Food itself I thought was nothing special. While it had some authentic items on the menu, the taste was very much Westernized imho. I had the egg noodle soup combo which was decent, others in out party had the filet mignon rice plate which looked good and was reported to have very tender beef pieces. The bun was average, and no complaints about the rice with pork chops plate. Overall, good menu options, average food, good ambience, and good service. Can’t go wrong, but could do better where there are so many choices in Cerritos.

Not a fan of this restaurant as the service was absolutely atrocious. As we sat down, we waited roughly 10 minutes in which no menus were presented to us. At this time, we went to the front counter and got the menus ourselves. 10 minutes later, we had to call the server over to take our orders. We ordered the 4 items below. 1. Grilled Chicken with Egg Roll Vermicelli(2 orders) 2. Iced Tea 3. Iced Coffee 4. Egg Roll appetizer The server did not write any of this down and comes back a few minutes later to ask me what drink I wanted. After finishing our food, we noticed our egg rolls never arrived nor were they on the order. I don’t know if this place was understaffed or if it’s always like this. I’m very disappointed and probably will not come back. 2 star because the food was at least decent.

Long story short, I placed 4 orders for pick up which came out to about $ 40. I got to the restaurant to pay for my orders and they handed them over to me after I paid them. To my surprise my last order, the Lemongrass Chicken, wasn’t in the bag when I got home to eat the meals with my family. That last order was worth about $ 10 all together with tax and I felt cheated out of my money so I went back to the restaurant to tell them. Once I got to the restaurant again I angrily approached the moron cashier who helped me the first time and told him I didn’t get my last order. His response, «Hmmm… That’s strange.» No shit, Sherlock that’s definitely strange. He went to the back to go talk to the manager so then the manager came out and told me, «Oh when you called we actually ran out of that order.» BRUH! If you ran out of the damn Lemongrass Chicken then why the hell are you still charging me an extra $ 10 for it?! Worst first experience with this store ever. I’m never coming back here again. So to anyone who tries to place orders to go here, you guys better check to see if all your orders are there because they’ll try to swindle you in any way possible. To the comment of Mike T. from Blooming: It’s my review so I can say whatever the hell I want to about the service I received from you guys. No I’m not perfect and I make mistakes too but you guys could have easily avoided it. I mean God only knows how many times you guys have done that to customers while they were unaware. I’m doing the customers a favor by telling them how I feel about your restaurant and what you can do to improve. Unilocal is place for positive and negative reviews so don’t tell me to show you some courtesy when I have the freedom to say whatever I want to say about your establishment. I don’t have to take it easy on you guys. You’re a business for crying out loud and it’s going to be competitive and your customers won’t always be satisfied. But anyways, thanks for my rightfully-deserved refund but I’m not going to apologize for your unprofessional service.

I’m a pho4u regular… And I’ve always said Pho4u is the best Phở in Cerritos; hands down… Plain in simple … what makes Phở good. 1) Soup has to be HOTTTT 2) Fresh ingredients 3) the brought has to be delicious I spoke with the owner about the issues with the bad reviews. I guess it was some growing pains and issues with the service staff… which has been replaced… So on to our experience today… Soup is still the best Phở I’ve can find in Cerritos. My family(me, my wife and our 3 kids) loves it here. The staff and the owner has always taken good care of us. Our food comes out in a timely manner, spring rolls(wifey’s favorite) is spot on, the fried egg rolls wrapped in basil and lettuce w/fish dipping sauce is bomb, and lastly the #9 Phở is a bowl of boiling hot goodness… All and all … Me and my family will frequent this Phở restaurant no matter what name Pho4u changes its name to…

Two stars for your lack of customer service. My boyfriend and I came in one evening and we were approached by a man who did not greet us, instead he says«Pick a table» under his breath. Uhh what? So we decide to wait for this booth to clear up in a minute and he just left us there as we sat ourselves. He said«wait then, its on you». He left a bad taste in my mouth, seriously I don’t care if we might be a younger crowd, it doesn’t mean you get to belittle or talk rudely to us. 15 minutes go by and we dont have menus nor does anyone approach us. I was irritated so my bf decided to go get the menus himself. I’ve been to this location before and last time was amazing compared to tonight.

Sporting my lunchtime bloomers at Blooming Blooming is an Asian Fusion(Viet/Chinese) restaurant, occupying the former home of Jeepney Asian Grille. As I walked in, I noticed the guy running Phở 4 U two suites down is also helming Blooming. He gave me a quick rundown of the menu, helping me decide what to get for lunch. Blooming offers rice dishes, noodles, hot pots, curry, escargot and other items. I also noticed various macaroni dishes, too. I had 20% off my bill, so I wanted to make the best pick. Filet mignon with rice entrée(default butter rice w/steamed rice optional) — Quickly after ordering, I had my filet mignon with rice in front of me. Sweet, tender chunks of filet mignon literally melted in my mouth. Crunchy bell pepper & onion slices provided the texture to compliment the meat. Butter rice was creamy, yet fluffy. With a little dip in the accompanying sauce & sambal chili, I had a great tasting & well portioned lunch. Service was good. I was checked on periodically, asking how everything was. I was told Blooming will start sending out circulars in the mail. I’ve passed by Blooming many times, as I make my way around town, but have never seen advertisements. Hopefully, the circulars will help with business. Seating for days, with plenty of tables & a few booths on the side facing South St. There are also al fresco tables available, too. The restaurant is clean, and the color scheme is warm & inviting. Parking is in a private lot, shared by Snowflakez, Subway, Sharetea and other businesses. Blooming is a good food option in Cerritos, IMHO. I believe their menu has a lot to offer, including various offerings of smoothies & che. Blooming may have undergone some growing pains with their grand opening, pertaining to the wait for orders to be completed and such, but I had my food within no time & I really enjoyed it. Couple that with the 20% off I received, and there’s no way I can’t recommend eating here. With all the food options in Cerritos, don’t let Blooming fall off your culinary radar as I think you’ll find both the food & prices agreeable. Highly recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

Now that Blooming and Phở 4 U have merged, I’m very torn about this place. Management needs to get it together… Why does it take so long for food to come out when there is the same amount of patrons in the restaurant as a full Phở 4 U restaurant? The menu has become better now that they are using the Phở 4 U menu, but the long wait time does not outweigh how good the food is. At least the music is no longer screamo/hard metal music. I’ll gladly sit here and eat while listening to the Carpenters. Oh wait, I can’t eat… My food is still not here.

I always have my doubts when trying out new phở restaurants because details from the broth to the condiments need to be spot on… And blooming is spot on. 5 stars for the following: — clean and welcoming atmosphere — great customer service — taste of the foods are worth coming back for — price is decent We came at opening time 10:00AM on a Sunday. It was pleasant to come into a clean and refreshing place to eat, especially on a Sunday morning. We had the #9 which is the combo Phở & #29, the Combo Vermicelli(all vegetables, vermicelli, egg roll, shrimp, & choice of beef, chicken, or pork). Portions are very generous! The medium size is a good good medium size(so worth the money). They are also fair with the amount of meat they give you in your meal. Normally, restaurants jip you and give only couple pieces of meat, but you will not have to worry about cheap portions– rather you may have some pieces left over cause your tummy is happily full! All in all, we will probably come back here again. I would say it is the best Phở restaurant around the Cerritos area!

Don’t waste your money. We came here for moms birthday. There’s nothing fusion about the food. It’s just overpriced and poorly made Vietnamese food. We ordered kabobs and the family size combination/assorted hot pot. Kabobs were mostly onions and bell pepper. There were some some pieces of beef that were still raw inside. They were barely grilled. So stingy. The hot pot… veggies we’re okay. Meat and seafood were frozen, not fresh, so there was that old taste you get when things have been frozen I long. The beef was pre-sliced, then rolled and put back in the freezer. Again, the frozen too long taste. It also made cooking difficult. The outside cooks, then you have to unroll it to cook the inner rolled layers. By the time you’re done, the meat is tough and no longer tender. Fail. The service is the last complaint. The restaurant was by no means packed but we still waited a good 10 minutes before servers ventured out of the kitchen and saw us. Fail. Then, despite not having many tables of people at the restaurant(20% max, only window booths occupied) the server was not interested in humoring polite chit chat from my parents. He tried to dump it on the manager in the kitchen who never came out. Way to be hospitable when your dining area is mostly empty during peak dinner hour and you’re a relatively new restaurant in a restaurant saturated area. Fail. I’m never coming back here if I can help it.

Picked up food from this place a few months ago and if you want a straight to the point review… I will probably never try this place again. Details below. I’m usually pretty adventurous when it comes to food. I love trying new things. For new businesses, it is absolutely critical to make an amazing first impression. This place did not do that for me. The establishment is nice and very well done. It’s the food that I was not too happy with. I’ll just mention one dish I ordered to keep this somewhat short. They have an appetizer of wings that, for lack of better words, pissed me off. It didn’t help that I took my large order which included the wings, filet mignon macaroni and another I can’t quite remember. The wings… They were just wings. No flavor what so ever. It was like they were poured out of a Sam’s club bulk pack, straight into a deep fryer. I’m not a picky eater at all but of the whole order I placed, I didn’t even eat a plates worth of food. I’m a short Asian dude sitting at 170lbs. I don’t eat much. Hopefully that puts things into perspective. All the dishes I ordered were bland. Probably couldve done better with my very limited cooking skills. What needs to be done here, and I’m not sure if they’ve revamped their kitchen strategy, is that they need to approach cuisine more seriously. I’m sure the staff there are nice people but please take this feedback constructively. Allow the people who love to cook on your staff, to experiment with seasoning and marinating. I know competition in your area that don’t have a great restaurant ambiance, but their food is amazing. They do great because people come for good food. I sure do hope you all do great in the future, but remember, you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression. Unfortunately for me, I got one that will keep me from being a loyal customer.

I’ll start with what I liked… they must have spent a fortune remodeling the place! It looks beautiful! Unilocalers get a free strawberry lemonade for checking in. They gave me two so at first I thought.“SCORE”…until I saw the bill and they charged me for the second one. LOL. They were very good tho so I guess I don’t mind. That’ll teach me to not be totally honest and turn away something that isn’t mine. My son ordered the beef filet mignon rice dish and it was very yummy! 4.5 stars for sure! To reach 5 stars I would skip serving it on lettuce cuz the lettuce just wilts and gets all nasty. Lettuce serves no purpose as a garnish with this dish IMHO. Wife ordered what was listed as a «crêpe» but came out like an onion and pork omelette. You are supposed to cut up the omelette and wrap it up like you would crispy egg rolls from a Vietnamese restaurant. I didn’t like it but the wife did so I’ll have to give that one 4 stars. My dish was the cornish hen rice dish. The skin was crispy like it was fried and the meat was tender and juicy! It came with a sweet dipping sauce that really made it delish! 5 stars. We also ordered the summer rolls as an appetizer and they have a little rolled up egg roll wrapper inside that is fried and crispy… giving these rolls a nice crunch. They are served with a peanut butter sauce(satay style) sauce. 5 stars. All the food we tried was really good. The service(as listed in other reviews) was bored out of their skull cuz we were only one of two tables occupied so they visited the table a little TOOOFTEN and kind of lingered nearby. Not so creepy if you don’t look and just focus on the food… lol Things I did NOT like: The menu is VERY confusing! It is hard to tell what sort of «fusion» the food is supposed to be. The descriptions also leave a lot to be desired. The pictures are ok but don’t always tell the whole story(as in the case of my wife’s «crêpe»). Also, the sodas are $ 2 each and they are individual cans! C’mon! You can spend 6 figures on renovation but can’t spring for a soda machine? «We Want Free Refills!!!» at $ 2 a pop… you’ll make money even with free refills. Just sayin’ Otherwise…we’d return for sure… might even put this place on our normal visit list. Enjoy

The place was spacious, ample parking spot so parking was no problem. The décor is nice with bright color. Service was outstanding. Servers were fast and attentive. Food took a little long to arrive. But it was a busy day, the food tasted great! This restaurant is perfect for everyone, couples, families and kids. Theres also a big red fish that looks super expensive. Must check it out! The place is very accessible and easy to find because it’s located along South St. in Cerritos beside Royal Garden Restaurant. The foods are freshly made, well presented and taste fine. Though I’m not Vietnamese but I could tell the quality and taste of food are not far as in Brodard and other typically known Vietnamese restaurants . The desserts are recommendable because it’s not too sweet, naturally pure and fresh. When it comes to ambience it’s 100% conducive to customers because it’s very clean, plenty of space, beautiful interior design, touch of elegance, plenty of TV monitors for visual and audio entertainment while eating. They have big restrooms with dividers inside. The place is good for groups as well. We’re definitely coming back to try other food items in the menu. Most importantly it’s affordable here.

Blooming is not bad, just ok. I ordered the summer rolls(comparable to Brodard), combination chow mein, and fried chicken curry with a mango smoothie to wash it all down. The summer rolls had a nice crunch to them, these were actually my favorite out of my total meal. The combo chow mein had beef, chicken, shrimp, and squid. It was a good combo, but not very distinct in flavor, just average chow mein. The fried chicken curry tasted like chicken cutlets deep fried in a tempura or rice flour batter with not much flavor. The décor was nice, cool orange and white accents. The server was fast and also seemed to hover around being that the place was not full and he kept looking if we were finished. He even offered to go boxes which I had to say at one point«can you give us some time to eat?» Even though this was a soft opening, it needs more of a variety on the menu with a more diverse fusion besides Vietnamese and Chinese food. Hope the menu changes, that way this place can actually be «Blooming.»
