CLOSED! At least as far as I can tell it’s locked up and the number is disconnected. I’ve only been for lunch. It was okay but overpriced. If I’m spending that on lunch I’d rather go to Gulfstream or Houston’s. The only thing that kept me and my co-workers coming back was the $ 25 off cert you could get from signing up for their email list. Sad we won’t be getting anymore $ 25 off coupies but excited at the prospect of a new restaurant coming in!

I was expecting more from Savannah’s. Loved the look of the restaurant as we walked in. I could see it as a old boy’s club back home. The food and service were ok. There wasn’t a crowd because we were early on Sunday night.(yeah, — yeah 1000 pts). We both decided to do the Sunset dinner, appetizer, entrée and desert for $ 30. The husband’s choices were gumbo, fried chicken and crème brûlée; mine salad, crab cakes and soufflé. The crab cakes are not lump, and the Creole Remoulade was good, but over powered the crab cake. The soufflé came out uncooked, the waitress realized it as soon as she cut into it. Apparently, the cook wasn’t paying attention to the oven that early(6pm). The Gumbo was good, but the dish it came out in was chipped. First impressions were good, too bad they didn’t last.

Ever since my great experience with the short ribs, I’ve come back here a few more times and every time, the experience has become worse and worse. Last night, we came here after watching a movie and had to wait 20 min for a table. The place was packed! Amazingly, since the place is NEVER packed. Anyhoo, we sit down at a round table in the middle of the restaurant and I can’t hear shit. Like freakin people are just screaming. When did this place become a god damn bar? I had my daughter with me too and she was yelling and I was just getting really freakin irritated at the whole place. So, I order shrimp scampi since I wasnt in a meat mood. My daughter had fish and chips. My friend had the scallops. The food arrives 15 min later and OMG, this was just the most disgusting shrimp scampi I have ever tasted in my whole entire life. It came with garlic, pine nuts, cherry tomatoes, overcooked shrimp and some basil. Those of you who read my previous review about San Sai oversaucing my food, know that that i fuckin hate oversauced food! So, how was the scampi? It was freakin SWIMMING in some liquid of some sort, no flavor of any kind and just plain EW. I had a few bites and called it a night. Dinner was $ 100 with tip. WTF? That food was so not worth even $ 50. Never again.

I ate here at the bar and ordered from the bar menu. I had a very nice glass of the house Cabernet and ordered the chicken biscuit sliders with sweet potato fries for my meal. I live in the South and am pretty picky about biscuits but I thought these were pretty good. I liked the gravy that was on the sliders and I thought the biscuits were very flaky and buttery. I would get these again if I could once again temporarily forget how much fat is in a fried chicken super-flaky biscuit. The sweet potato fries were good — better than regular fries. The décor in this place is a little over-the-top Southern but it’s attractive. The staff seemed very nice and it was easy to get in and out of here(once we found parking, which actually was not all that bad). I would return here if I was in the area but I probably would not make it a destination. However, they do appear to have some very good happy hour food and drink specials. I would like to give it 3.5 stars but since I cannot and since I am in a good mood, I will round up to 4 stars.

Good food, comforting décor, service eh. We walked over to Savannah yesterday for lunch. I tried to make a reservation quickly through so I could score 100 points but there was nothing open. When we got there the patio was empty — it was about 85 – 90 yesterday so that was out of the question. The dining room was full but we were seated promptly. This was French 75 before and suddenly it became Savannah. The décor is still the same with the exception of part of the patio now has two plasmas and some leather couches to lounge on. The bread basket came first and this was yummy all by itself. It was warm olive bread accompanied by a tapanade butter. So good! We started off with the gumbo, field greens salad with goat cheese(with a parm crust), and I had the onion soup. Two of us had the super tender boneless short ribs with creamy mashed potatoes and veggies. It was served with crispy onion strings and horseradish cream. These two condiments made the dish! My friend had the scallops which were also good! We ended our meal with the bananas foster which was melt in your mouth, take a nap good. Overall, the service was lacking. The food came out fast but it was a little hard getting our water glasses filled.

I took a business colleague here because I couldn’t find any nice non-hotel restaurants in Century City. This looked okay from the Unilocal reviews. I got there a little early and he was about 15 minutes late. The waiter walks up and says to my guest, «Nice of you to finally show up» in the most obnoxious high school voice possible despite being in his 40s. My heart dropped. I was so embarrassed. All I could manage to say was that the owner would be shocked and appalled if he knew how his front line employees were treating the customers. My guest said, «four star atmosphere with fast-food service» but I think he was being too kind. I’ve never had a McDonald’s employee be rude like that. So I’ll say four star atmosphere, three star food, negative-value service. I’ll have to give it one star overall. The place was cute(same décor as French 75) and the food was okay but over-priced. Our bill was probably $ 70 for two people eating lunch with no alcoholic drinks. For that kind of money, you’d think they would be able to hire another waiter so that the first one wouldn’t be so agitated and over-worked. Next time I’m going to go to uWink where there are no waiters and I can just order what I want from the touchscreen with no snide comments from a grumpy waiter.

Underwhelming would be the word I’d use to describe Savannah. Very nice, cute décor. Makes you feel like you’re in Savannah, Georgia without the heat stroke or the big hair. My lovely friend, Megan, and I came in for dinner after learning the wait at Houston’s was 70 minutes. Never a good sign when a nearby restaurant is packed and you can walk right into it’s neighbor. Our server must’ve been new or extremely overworked. He was friendly and helpful, but would disappear for long periods of time. We didn’t see him working nearby tables, so we had no idea what he was doing. I don’t think they section the servers tables together, which would be really helpful in case you need something. Tasty artichoke appetizer. The filet mignon beef stroganoff was pretty enjoyable, except the filet mignon. Why use filet if you’re going to overcook it to well done and serve it dry and chewy? The noodles and sauce were good on their own, thankfully. Megan had a burger, and I assume a burger is a burger, so what’s there to say? We ordered an extra side of mac n cheese, which was decent but not very flavorful. It was noodles with a thin sour cream sauce over it. Dessert was a chocolate soufflé. We heard our neighboring table’s server warn them that it takes 30 minutes to bake, so order now. We didn’t have that option, so we waited at the end of the meal. A good soufflé, maybe not 30 minutes good, but it wasn’t disappointing at all. We also had the benefit of having the manager visit our table on two inopportune times. Once right after we got our appetizer, to ask us how we’re doing(«Good… we just got here.») and again to tell us that we’re awfully quiet. Yes, the two girls eating dinner in the corner are quiet. I think this place has potential. The menu looks interesting and I had many things that were tempting and I had to narrow my choice down a few times. The service needs refinement and an attention to detail(dirty coffee spoons, anyone?) would improve things tremendously. The food runners consistently went to the wrong tables with food. We saw it happen about 4 times. And when they got there they auctioned off the food, «Who had the fried chicken? Salmon?» Not classy. Nor are un-bussed empty tables strewn throughout the non-busy restaurant. For a mall restaurant, the price point isn’t cheap($ 100 for 2, only 1 alcoholic drink), so the experience would have needed to be much better for me to return on my own accord.

Went here for lunch with co-workers and really enjoyed it. The weird thing was, we went during the lunch hour and the place was pretty empty. It wasn’t completely ghost-town empty, but it was empty enough that we had absolutely no trouble getting seats and had amazing service. Since this was my first time there, I have no idea whether this was the norm. I had their steak-burger, which was really well prepared and really filled me up. It came with sweet potato fries, which is always a plus. They weren’t the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had, but they definitely hit the spot. Another plus was that the entire meal took about 45 minutes. The waiters were very prompt, the food came out very quickly(and very well prepared) and the check came right away. Since we were in a hurry, this really worked out very well for us. Overall great spot, I’m definitely coming back.

Savannah took over French 75’s spot — thank goodness since the latter was atrocious! — but the menu looks pretty much the same which leaves me skeptical. I do know this: the crab salad is pretty damn good and the chocolate soufflé still looks amazing(the one redeeming item on the French 75 menu) but I’m still not sure. I’ll need further evidence of good food before I bump up to 4 stars.

I totally heart this place. It’s a neat little hang out at the Century City Mall. I’m a fan of the décor and atmosphere the most(in addition to everything else this place has to offer). It looks like an Old Boy’s Club/Restaurant(a claim that my partner in crime made — hitting the nail RIGHT on the money). Dark wood, dim lighting and the smell of rich mahogany(or maybe it was the cigars we were smoking?) We came here for happy hour pre-attempt at seeing a movie. Happy Hour runs from 4−8pm on Saturdays. GREAT happy hour specials. Best onions I’ve ever had, sliders, calamari, and champagne cocktails are among some of the $ 5 specials you will find. The food is excellent and they have great outdoor seating. I will definitely be heading back for another happy hour.

Good food, friendly staff, happy hour deals, good place for lunch. The lobster & chips are soooo good(ask for the pink spicy sauce). The sliders and yam fries are excellent as well. They have a free champagne toast every night, and they have Chimay — yum

This place is where French 75 used to be! I’ve only been there for happy hour, so I can’t really say much about all the food! The happy hour is great tho! 5 dollar beers, 5 dollar champagne cocktails, 5 dollar appetizers(huge appetizers too for 5 bucks), plus happy hour ends at 7pm, so plenty of time to get there! :-)
