I noticed other reviews stated issues with the service. The runners from the kitchen do seem confused about what tables ordered what. However, the food is great. The beef stew is DELICIOUS. The crispy spring rolls are ok. I will definitely return.

My husband and I come here at least once a month. It’s definitely the eat Phở I’ve had and we came from DC/Arlington area where there is a ton of highly rated Phở). I will say the first time we came, our phở was so meaty and filling but since then, we’ve had less meat but it’s been consistent so maybe the first time it was a fluke. The broth is super tasty and mouthwatering. The service is fast, the staff is polite and there’s study ally agh it walking around filling up water. I don’t think my water has ever gotten lower than quarter glass! We haven’t tried anything else on the menu but the variety of meats for the Phở however, they do have a pretty extensive menu. We always get spring rolls too and bubble tea which are not phenomenal!

I come here often for their phở noodles and salad. I particularly enjoy the shrimp salad. It’s wholesome, delicious, and healthy. This restaurant has better ambiance than other phở restaurants as the lights are not so bright and they have 2 nicely placed TVs for news/sports watching.

One of the better phở around. Locally best, one of the ones that are more authentic with quality meats. The stock is flavorful while the meat is soft and juicy!

Shady Shady shady. Beware of your bill especially its not written in english and its not itemized. I caught them overcharging me by as much as $ 5. The guy was sorry but I don’t think he really was, he was sorry that he got caught.

It’s authentic to a point that you will smell like phở walking out. The weather is getting colder and our craving for delicious Vietnamese hot soup is increasing! Phở Duong is only minutes from home, and to be honest, this place delivers a pretty good bowl of phở. Not mind blowing, but it will give you that comforting feeling that phở can give you. Here’s to the phở! The broth of their phở is quite clear, and it’s very fragrant. It’s on the saltier side, and similar to the Phở 75 flavors. You’ll be able to taste all of the ingredients that they used as the base. That bun bo hue! Got a bowl of their spicy beef soup and this one is not disappointing either. Not as spicy as most bun bo hue, the flavors are rather mild, and it’s served with a side of banana flower slices(not cabbage!) Taste the crunch… Of the pan fried beef noodle. A traditional Chinese takeout, the pan fried noodles can not disappoint no matter how hard you try to mess this up. Seriously, who doesn’t enjoy a plate of FRIED noodles. The sauce is much more flavorful than most, hinting on the sweeter side. The beef is superior to most Chinese restaurants — it’s thinner, so much more tender and absorbs the flavors of the sauce much better! Service is quick. There’s never any wait for a table. It’s a phở restaurant, so do not expect an outstanding service. You go in, sit with your bowl, and walk out. That’s the phở way!

Went here for lunch after a day of food poisoning and so glad I did. Service was quick and the phở soup I ordered was delicious. Compared to other phở places, I found their broth to be quite sweet… seemed like a lot of star anise(sp) but with some sriracha and a little hoisin sauce added it leveled it out perfectly. All in all I have to say I did enjoy this restaurant, my only qualm about my meal was really with the drink I ordered. I had chosen Lemonade off the menu and at a $ 3.50 price point I was expecting some great Lemonade. When I got the drink there were sugar crystals set on the bottom of the glass and there was only a scarce taste of lemon throughout the whole drink. Honestly not that big of a deal though — gave me a nice little sugar rush! All in all, I’d recommend this restaurant.

I went here with my friends, as a last minute decision for phở. The restaurant was clean and tidy, but the service wasn’t as good as I thought it should have been. All three of us ordered phở noodles; I had the all-meat phở noodle soup, while one friend had noodles without soup, and the other, phở noodle soup with selected meats. We all had to agree that the meat(which is a very significant factor in the phở experience) was not very great. The soup was more acceptable, but it wasn’t the best I’ve had. Also, they weren’t very generous with the thai basil, jalapeño, and the bean sprouts. We were given a small plate to share among the three of us. I honestly would’ve used all of it for a large bowl;;; I’m sure they would’ve given us more if we asked, but I was just slightly disappointed that we weren’t given plenty originally. The prices were somewhat fair, but on the bit pricier side — it was $ 8 for a regular bowl, and $ 9 for a large; the special ones are a lot more expensive. Overall, fairly good for a local phở restaurant :)

I took a Unilocalers advice to try this place, and it helped to see a lot of reviews for it so I chose to give it a try. The restaurant is very clean, but I was only one of two people in the restaurant, the other person ordered take out. Yes, I went during rush hour, but I was a bit shocked with the amount of people considering it was dinner time. I got the summer roll and a large Phở Duong special. It ran close to $ 13. The summer rolls were great, excellent flavor and light to the touch and feel. But the phở was small and skimpy on noodles, plenty of meat though. I still felt shortchanged because of the price but the staff was friendly and courteous. It’s hard to find that balance of meat and noodles, and it clearly had more of the former than the latter. While it was good, currently Phở 234 is the best I’ve found so far, but I’m still willing to try other places.

So happy I could do a little dance!!! Coming from a long line of cooks and restaurant owners I admit this was one of the best bowl of phở I’ve had in a long time. Find such a bowl of phở at your grandmas house(if she made phở that is); it almost competes with my mothers. I chatted with the cook in broken English, she sold her famous Bun Bo Hue restaurant at Eden center. No more will I have to drive there when I get the cravings. For my next visit I will order her bun bo hue(spicy beef noodle soup) and bun mang vit(bamboo duck noodle soup).

I came here for lunch with a girlfriend and ordered my favorite Vietnamese dish– banh xeo. It was HUGE and oh so crispy. We also had the egg rolls(which they had mistakenly given us because we ordered summer rolls), but it was delicious and flaky. My banh xeo was PACKED with seafood goodness and bean sprouts. They were also very generous with the accoutrements(lettuce, basil, pickled radishes) and I devoured it like it was my last meal on earth. I have yet to try their phở, and they also offer other traditional Vietnamese dishes(broken rice, vermicelli bowls, etc.). The service was OK but very quick, as with most Vietnamese restaurants. Great place for a good and inexpensive lunch.

Lunch included soup and entre. I would classify both as borderline vegetarian as there was little meat in each. A lot of rice. A lot of noodles. Really disappointed.

this is my go to phở joint in the centreville area, it’s located right next to another phở restaurant and I never hesitate when I choose duong. Price range is standard for a phở restaurant. I typically get their combination phở and add meatballs, what makes a phở bowl stand out from others is the broth and the broth here is on point! If I don’t order phở, I’m ordering their fried rice. This dish isn’t on menu at a lot of places but they do it correct! If not in the mood for a soup based dish, this is a must order. From a service aspect, they do very well on a consistent basis. Simple things don’t go overlooked, like constant refills and a server always readily nearby. Much better than the average phở joint IMO, the language barrier is there but can’t knock them for that because the same is true for 99% of phở joints. all in all, they are up to par on all cylinders!

I would say this place has a very savory broth. The phở soup is good and it doesn’t change. I also really like their summer rolls here. It’s always been pretty fresh. They also offer bubble tea and smoothies. I’ve only ordered it once and it was a while ago, but I don’t remember it being that great. From my memory it was more icy and not as flavorful :/Stick with the food.

It’s in the same strip as Sweet Frog and Bön Chon, right next to a deli. Coming out of the parking lot near Phở Duong, I smelled Phở– which for me is always a good sign. I walked in and it was the traditional open seating(not closed off in own sections). I was early so I ordered the famous iced coffee— and it wasn’t pre made!!!(you can look at my other review for phở bistro to understand). I was so happy to see the mini coffee maker. If this is your first time, make sure you get an extra glass of ice. You can make TWO iced coffees with the one(VERY strong!) I love the fact that their menu had two sizes, small and large. I got the small mixed with all meats(I love all meats BUT liver– they all taste GREAT). The broth was good and all the side veggies were the norm. Not only was the service fast but they were FRIENDLY and accommodating. Hands down– it was like the Phở I grew up with(in Annandale). I’m so happy to have something so close. I’m not opposed to trying new phở places, but I know where my go-to is!!!

There’s a lot of great phở places in the area but this is not one of my favorites. The portions are pretty big which is definitely a plus. However, the phở broth had way too much cinnamon/nutmeg. Maybe it was just this batch? Either way not the best broth. Bubble tea is also very meh. They did have solid spring rolls and summer rolls. On the plus side, they had excellent customer service. All the workers are extremely friendly and our food came out very fast. With all the delicious phở places nearby this one just doesn’t stand out unfortunately.

Came here for a hangover cure and that’s exactly what I got. I think that the soup base is very authentic and flavorful. Also, they gave a lot of meat for me and my friends phos. I think that the same amount of noodles and beef is added to sizes small and large but I guess that’s just opinion based. The service here is also always the best. I used to be a regular at phở bistro down the street from this place but after tasting the broth from here, I can’t go anywhere else.
