Really enjoyed our visit here! Crawfish were good and the seasoning was tasty. Great selection on the menu, wait staff was superb and the management was extremely responsive when we needed to speak with him! Really good food with a nice environment

Love this place and love the people. People have some high standards as if there are other seafood places around in nova lol. Chill people this isn’t Louisiana or next to the beach. If you haven’t tried the crawfish Mac and cheese you have to! And I would also recommend the fried cheesecake with ice cream it is literally taking a bite of diabetes. I come here so often cause it’s conveniently near my home and is amazingly good. Not as good as authentic New Orleans or whatever you call it seafood but definitely a good place to stop by if you’re craving some seafood.

I want to give this place more stars, in fact I think they are lucky for getting two from me. Food is alright but it’s the service. The staff is mainly young kids which is fine. I was a server in my early 20s so whatever that’s fine however this place seems to be lacking a manager or professionalism, hear me out. What establishment allows people behind the bar to be eating? Saw a guy continuously pop food in his mouth. The hostess station has a crowd of servers who all say welcome very well but when no one is coming in, it’s just chatter chatter chatter. I sat at the bar once and waited ten minutes until I even got a menu with TWOPEOPLERIGHTINFRONTOFME chatting behind the bar. Seriously? I’m sure these are all great people but seriously the level of service here is just trash when the servers level of engagement is not on. Maybe some are good but the three times I’ve been here it’s just a place of chatter amongst the servers and bartenders. If I ever go again maybe I’ll bring a book or bring my headphones so that they can come to me and take my order when they are ready… Changing my review to one star. In the end don’t make customers wait or have to flag you down when you are there to be served. It’s a restaurant for crying out loud.

I came here last night again after the Dulles gun show. I was really hungry, so I ended up ordering 3lbs of crawfish and wash it down with a beer. My friend ordered the 3 lbs of king crabs. I usually give this place a high mark for service and food but it had a slow service for some reason. The place wasn’t busy and we ate at 9PM outside but it took some time for beer to come out. JJ& his helper did a fine job, but I noticed that my buddy was getting thirsty often. Normally, he drinks 6 pack of angry orchard for dinner but I noticed that he had 3 tonight. Maybe the bar was tied up… who know. but I still love eating here.

Similar to the renowned Boiling Crab on the west coast, Chasin Tails offers some finger-lickin good creole-Cajun style foods. I love their«Oh Dang!» sauce at the Hot level – I always ask for an extra side of it to take home and put it on some home cooking. Lemon and garlic are probably my two favorite flavors to put on anything. The parking at the Centreville location is loads better than the one in Falls Church/Arlington, the latter of which has limited street and garage parking. I’m really glad to see this business and the business owners doing well. Their cocktails – especially the fishbowls – are creeper drinks! They taste yummy, and with barely the kick of alcohol hiding behind the fruity flavors. Their Cajun Mary is also pretty good – they use their own spicy sauce in the cocktail, as opposed to just Tabasco or something. This place gets hella crowded on Fridays and Saturdays in the evening. Try to do call-aheads to get yourself on the waiting list!

First off this location is already better then the one in Arlington cause it has its own parking lot. No more waiting on parking spots on the side of the road or trying to go into the garage and hoping to find something. Parking spaces for allllllllllllllllll, convenience is key! As far as the food, it’s consistently great and my wife and I always stop by whenever we have our seafood cravings. We try to get the charbroiled oysters to start as it comes with cheese, butta, and a side of bread with the oysters. Butter on anything is the way to go and I like it haha. If you are a crawfish person I definitely recommend doing garlic-butter medium/hot. My wife gets the shrimp and it is always tasty. Definitely be ready to get messy as the seafood is saucey and you use your hands. Service is always friendly/attentive and would recommend Michael if he’s available.

Came here to celebrate my mother-in-laws birthday. She enjoys seafood and since she’s never been to Chasin’ Tails, we decided this would be a great dinner spot. Made reservations through Unilocal and it was as easy as 1−2−3. There is way more parking at this location than the one in Arlington. It’s also more spacious in here with more seating and a larger bar area. Restrooms are in the back and clean. They also have a hand washing station in the middle of the restaurant. Upon entering, we didn’t see anyone at the host/hostess table. After a bit, a friendly lady came over and seated us. Our server Renee was excellent. She was patient, friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive. The employees at Chain’ Tails have always been great, even at their Arlington location. I love that they have napkins and wet naps at each table, so you don’t have to ask for it. They also bring you gloves and bibs to wear, so you can keep your hands and clothes clean. If you order from their Bayou N’ A Bag section, they also bring a big bucket out so you can throw your shells and such in there. We loved everything we ordered, from start to finish. Since we first visited their Arlington location, there isn’t one thing on their menu we haven’t enjoyed. They season and cook everything just right. This location has the same great taste and quality. Our server was super sweet to notice we were celebrating a birthday and she told me she’d bring Beignets and Ice Cream over on the house. It is really sweet of Chasin’ Tails to do this. Overall, the birthday girl enjoyed her drinks/food and we all had a great time together: D

There’s no better feeling than leaving chastin tails with your fingers and ring smelling like«oh dang»! Chastin tails has a new location and I do not object to more seating, an open concept dining area, and more parking! Yes, this one has a huge parking lot where you don’t have to tailgate patrons after they leave their happy crawfish meal. This used to be a Red Rock Canyon with the fire pit outside and the interior layout. But gone with the old and in with the new! It’s crawfish sucking and Cajun licking now! Everything on the menu is the same as the one in Arlington, except an addition of the charbroiled oysters! We ordered ½ dozen and it was cheesy, garlicky, buttery, and lemony grilled good! The sauce was so good as I used the bread that it came with to scoop the oyster shell dry. For my first visit at this location, I stuck with my usual. One pound of crab legs; two pounds of crawfish; and one order of fries — half Cajun, half sweet potato. Of course I ordered my seafood with the oh dang sauce, which is out of this world and I still can’t quite figure the right proportion of ingredients to make it. They say it’s a combination of three of their sauces, but I’m sure there’s one or two secret ingredients. I always get my sauce the hot level. And I haven’t forgotten about my free beignets covered in powdered sugar with the awesome strawberry sauce with my Unilocal check in! This is the closest I’ll get to New Orleans!

I should preface this review by stating I ate this with two southern boys, that know Cajun cuisine quite well, to a point that they really get the authenticity of the dish. I am just a novice at it, though I do enjoy some Cajun cuisine myself(Popeyes doesn’t count). First off, it gets real busy here. I guess if you come here after 8 pm without a reservation, you’re going to be waiting, but we got there at around 6:30−7 pm so for a party of 3 we had no problems whatsoever. The menu is very big. Very. Big. Lots of selection to choose from so the options are virtually limitless. We debated on what items to get as was there a lot to pick from. Ultimately we started with the appetizer of fried green tomatoes and the calamari. We also got two pounds worth of shrimp, crawfish, snow crab, and clams. Yeah, this is the kind of place that’s rather expensive because of the cuisine and how they present it. We also got soda and lemonade. Free refills. A+ The appetizer that came out was well presented, but not very good. The breading was not crusty and the fried green tomatoes did not have the consistency that they said they were used to having. The sauces were good, but that was the highlight of the appetizer. The small portion size lamented to the aggravating factor not to order it again. Then came the entrees. They come in bags. And was plenty of everything. And it was hot. That’s just the beginning. You do it all yourself. All the shucking, the peeling, yes, everything. But it was all really good! Even the potato it comes with was excellent, but the seafood had tremendous flavor and taste that you could really spend a good deal of time just enjoying it all. Especially the crawfish. That was the icing on the cake. The crawfish was fantastic, once you know that you’re only supposed to eat the tail, you learn how amazing it really is, and why it’s the state«fish» of Louisiana. Because I used the Unilocal app, we got free beignets for dessert. They give you 5, and they were also really good. Nice amount of sugar and were soft to the touch. Worth it. And because the appetizer wasn’t very good and my friends pleaded their case about the lack of authenticity of it, and that it wasn’t very good, they took it off the bill. We still had a nice amount of change left for it, but it was nice that they took the charge off. Also we felt that we had great customer service. No glass was ever empty, and wait staff constantly came over to check on us. That’s how you make for happy customers. With all this I would definitely return here. You can’t miss the value, especially for Cajun food, and worth the extra shekels. Definitely recommend. They gave it a solid B, which to me is a 3.5÷5, but I up it to 4 stars because of the fantastic treatment we received, and great seafood. And we didn’t have to scream over anybody to talk. But we were raving about the service!

This location is a lot smaller and quieter than the Arlington location. However, the service was faster and my servers were more attentive. Highlights: — Great beer specials on HH from 4−7p — $ 12 doz raw oysters all day Wednesday(usually $ 12 for a half doz) I split an additional crawfish mac and cheese with my friend. The cheese sauce was pretty thin but it stuck to the noodles well. Noods were a tad overdone, for my taste and preference. I’ve finally accepted the fact that I’ve never had a good seafood mac, nor will I ever. Just not a match made in heaven. Definitely ask for Olivia or Jared, they’ll take great care of you!

The service was quick and friendly. I LOVE the Oh Dang sauce, EXTRA hot. I ordered some extra slices of sausage since they literally only give you a single slice in your bag. I don’t necessarily think the«¼ lb» of sausage was worth the extra $ 3.50. Definitely won’t make that mistake again. The Gator Bites were fried well, not greasy, and there was a good amount of meat. The sauce that comes with it is spicy and complimented the fried goodness that was going on. If you’ve been to the original location, you know what you’re getting. It’s good to know that the good quality didn’t go down at the new location.

If you are looking for PHENOMENAL seafood, and GREAT service, this is the place to go if you are close to Centreville, Va. My family and I visited Chasin’ Tails last week for my birthday. Started with a mixed friend seafood appetizer while we waited for everyone to get there. We ordered a little bit of everything, steamed shrimp, crawfish(my favorite), wings, chicken tenders, and my mother got a salad. Everything we ordered just how we wanted it, my crawfish were big and meaty and AMAZING. Our server was very attentive, but not so much it seemed overwhelming. She even overheard my mom talking about my birthday and brought us some beignets with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. She explained they don’t normally do that sort of stuff for birthdays, but she made it work. We definitely appreciated it(especially my nephews). One of the owners even stopped by(I think it was D) and made sure everything was great. He was a very nice guy and you could tell he really cared if his customers were being taken care of. I have now visited both locations, and they are both great. I am glad this location opened, its only 2 miles from my house. I will be sure to be back soon!

I love Chasin’ Tails so much! They have really delicious crawfish and the best alcoholic drinks. This place is so cute and feels rustic and upscale. It is spacious and service is great. They provide you with bibs and gloves if you want to stay clean. The servers are constantly coming over to check up on you and they are making sure you don’t need anything. I got two pounds of crawfish, which comes with two sausages, potatoes, and corns. I got the Oh Dang sauce which was really buttery and filled with lots of delicious spices. I do feel like the sauce is a lot more diluted compared to the other location I went to, but I still enjoyed my meal. Just thinking about the sauce makes my mouth water!!! Also tried their wings which were also really good, but I would definitely recommend you getting seafood here! I got the gulf breeze, which was a slushy blue cocktail that came in the cutest little fish bowl. It was pretty strong and one was enough with my meal. I can’t wait to go back!

I usually frequent the Chasin’ Tails in Falls Church, but I was in the Centreville area on Saturday night and decided to stop by with a few friends. Unlike the Falls Church location, this Chasin’ Tails offers lots and lots of parking, which is great news for those who are parallel parking impaired(i.e., me). If you’re thinking of stopping by after 5:45pm over the weekend, please do yourself a favor and get on their call ahead list(simply call them about one hour prior to your arrival). It will prevent you from waiting in an excruciatingly long line, trust me. My friends and I shared The Whole Dang Thang, 1 lb. of shrimp, 2 lbs. of crawfish, and 1 lb. of mussels, as well as beignets with a side of ice cream. The Whole Dang Thang is usually a crowd pleaser; it definitely delivered, but I found it to be super salty. Our group had no problem finishing it though because we were very hungry. The quality of the seafood was quite good overall — the crawfish were pretty large and I was happy with how fresh they tasted. However, I was quite disappointed by the lack of spice! We ordered all our seafood to be medium or hot, but all of it tasted really mild. The sauce was also really liquidy and didn’t have that chunky goodness that I normally experience at the Falls Church location. Nonetheless, the sauce was still super flavorful. The beignets were delish(as always) and came with tons and tons of powdered sugar. Woohoo! Much like Falls Church location, their Centreville location had great customer service. There was a little mix-up with our order, but they apologized and fixed the problem immediately. I will definitely be back again to try the charbroiled oysters, which is unique to this location!

OOOOOOOkay. As soon as I post this I know I’m going to catch hell for this rating, but Its for a good reason. I say that this location is good, but not better than the original in Arlington. I will say that the atmosphere for this location is better, and has an actual restaurant vibe but the service for me wasn’t the same as the original. One perk that I do actually like about this location is that they have legit parking where you can find a spot even on the busiest night. The food is ALWAYS great, but if you’re not a fan of fried foods or allergic seafood then your options become pretty skimp because those are their main foods. I always get the craw-fish, shrimp, wings, or gumbo(A must buy!) Now the MAIN reason why I gave this place a 4 instead of the 5 is because they don’t sell the collector’s cup of alcohol like the other location. That is my go to EVERY time I come to CT! To have one drink and feel like Chris Brown singing«Theeere’s something in this liquoooooorrrr…» Maybe I’m incorrect and I just missed it on the menu, but It definitely won’t prevent me from coming back! If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by and tell them my name, you’ll get a free glass of water!

I’m going to keep this review short and sweet with a list of pros and cons, essentially while comparing it to the original DMV location in Arlington. I’ve now been 3 times and I’m happy to report they’ve worked out ALL the kinks, so I’m bumping my rating up a star. This was my first visit on a weekday and I really enjoyed myself. Even got the beignets + ice cream for my bday. OMG! How come no one told me that combo was so dang delish!!! My word! +parking is ample +charbroiled oysters –said charbroiled oysters are way expensive at $ 16 for a half dozen –the first time I went, my shrimp were mushy, a sign of them being overcooked +second time I went, I mentioned the mushy shrimp and all my shrimp were perfect –no Unilocal check-in offer for free beignets –fried green tomatoes were $ 6 and weren’t seasoned very well. I thought they were $ 3 because on 1 side of the menu that’s what it says. So watch that. +service is always impeccable +the first time I came, the gator was overcooked too & they quickly took it off our bill and hooked us up w/the crawfish Mac & cheese +call ahead seating even though they don’t take reservations after 5:45pm on weekend +Yelp reservations outside of those weekend hours are accepted. ++Again, service is ONPOINT! +++FOODISJUSTAMAZING!

I give this place four stars because I’ve only been once. Ill probably end up giving it one more after my next visit. We had the gate bites and Cajun fries which were good but allotted pricey. The fried green tomatoes were delicious and not too greasy. We had the bag of shrimp and crayfish. I wish that they put more potatoes and corn. The best part was our waiter john and the manager. They went out of their way to make it a great experience.

So excited to try this branch due to the awesome reviews it has been getting by far. We were seated promptly and drinks were served. We ordered off the menu right away since we have been to the Arlington branch before. Meals were served all hot and fresh, the highlight were the oysters and it was so good. It was like rockefeller oysters sans the spinach. A dozen charbroiled $ 28. The shrimps tasted sweet like they were from the gulf. The calamari were not chewy. Service was friendly. Welcome to the hood!

My family and I went the day before its grand opening and I have to say its a relief that I don’t need to drive to Falls Church in order to get some good seafood. I probably wouldn’t have known it was here if I didn’t go to V5 a few weeks before. It took over Copper Canyon Grill and I’m glad because that place sucked. This location is much better, larger and a huge bar with flat screen TVs. Parking is the best thing here compared to the other location. No more need to go around and find parking anymore! Jambalaya has the perfect amount of heat but jot overbearing. The sausage in there was delicious. Its so delicious that luckily, we got an extra half pound on the side just to eat! The gumbo was ok, nothing spectacular, need to work on flavor a bit. Lemon pepper wings were breaded and seasoned well with the lemon pepper rub. I really enjoyed it and would get the wings again. The whole dang thang had calamari, catfish, gator, shrimp and of course the cajun fries, which I could eat all day long. Everything in the dish was perfectly crispy, well-seasoned and nothing was overcooked. I didn’t get any seafood(weird right?) but my family got clams and snow crabs which I was told were both flavorful and fresh! My mom however, felt that there weren’t too much clams for a pound and she left still a bit hungry. Now we know that 2 pound is best! The snow crabs however were huge and shared by 3 people. Luckily, it was my dad’s bday so we also got to try the beignets with the raspberry sauce. Warm, fluffy and scrumptious. Service was extremely slow, waiting at least 45 – 50 minutes without any appetizers. Everything came at one time. I wish they would have brought out some apps/sides first. Understand, it was still soft opening but I hope they pick up the speed a bit since we only had 2 pounds of seafood for the whole table. Slow with refills also and we didn’t see him for a while just to get the check. Overall, a great try if you enjoy seafood but they also have delicious fried foods and non-seafood entrees. Next time I’ll have to try the«fish bowls/tanks”(alcoholic mixed drinks). Must try!

My family and I went to the«soft opening» just the night before the grand opening. We had passed by it after leaving V5 and didn’t even have a clue it was there. Luckily, they had opened in time for my dad’s birthday. We ordered the jambalaya, clams, whole dang thang, chicken wings, gumbo, extra andouille sausage, and snow crabs for the table to share. Ok well, the crabs were mainly for me so let’s start with that. I got 1lb of snow crab in medium heat and original cajun. It was full of meat, rather than being basically empty like a lot of crab places around here. The flavor was perfect but I may get the hot next time. The jambalaya was really delicious and had a nice kick to it. The extra sausage we ordered were perfect for it, I wish it just came with more but what can you do? The whole dang thang was soo good and so much fried food. It comes with calamari, catfish, shrimp, and gator with a side of fries. The fries are my absolute favorite, seriously can’t get enough. It comes with cocktail sauce and some type of heaven sauce that’s orange. The spices were garlicky and the orange sauce reminded me of a less spicy version of buffalo sauce. The chicken wings we got with lemon pepper and it was breaded really good, perfectly crispy. It had a little spicy kick to it as well and was very flavorful. I wish it came with some ranch though but we didn’t bother asking so not their fault. I didn’t have either the gumbo or clams but everyone at the table really loved both! Our server, Jayden, was really kind & informative. Understandably, since it was the soft opening, the food & service were a little slower than the Arlington location. But it wasn’t bad by any means. I’m so glad they opened this location near my house. I’m definitely going to be back here!
