Simply the best deli I’ve ever been too! The characters you see coming in are well worth the effort to get to Ceadarhurst! Food is over the top. Order normal, cut in a third this way you have three or four more meals!

Omg this place has been part of my childhood for years! and even though I moved out east little bit to Merrick I still venture over to Cederhurst to grab my number one favorite the«Tamby special» but the grandfather and the godmother r close behind! This family run establishment has been around for a long time, there are many reasons why but I think the number one reason would be the quality of their hero’s, salads, catering etc. Not many delis can compare to this gem of s deli, go here once you become a customer for life! Guaranteed

OK, what can I say about Tamburino’s. This place needs an option for additional stars because five is not enough. We ordered Pastrami hero and everything was delicious. Keep it up!!! we will be back. Love ATL.

I didn’t go inside because I stayed in the car, however I know they have great customer service when my husband came out to the car waving around the menu that belonged at the counter top. He told the staff that his wife was in the car and wanted to view a menu and they trusted him to bring back that menu. Excellent work guys! The food is really good. It wasn’t quite what I was expecting. Upon reading the reviews, I thought I was going to have this huge stupid looking sandwich, however, it was standard size and regular portions, stuffed into a small Italian bread sub. I ordered chicken crazy which is bacon, ranch and chicken cutlets. It wasn’t nasty but it also didn’t blow me away. It taste like something I could’ve made at home. The portion, like I said, wasn’t big, it just appears big because they stuff it into a small bread. My husband had a cold ham and salami cold hero. His was standard size as well. Both sandwiches are overpriced for the amount we received. Maybe it was just us? That’s odd because all the reviews said they got a lot. We literally had average size sandwiches. It was good but it wasn’t great. I can get better sandwiches for cheap in Brooklyn. It may or may not be my last time coming here. Who knows? Lol

Tamburino’s sandwiches are just plain stupid. No, really — they’re not bad, they’re just stupid. If you read the other reviews and look at the pictures, you’ll see what I mean. They put enough meat on a single sandwich to feed 3 or 4 people. For those who like to take their sandwiches home with them, this is not as big of a problem because they can just put the extra meat in the fridge for later. However, for people who like to eat their sandwiches *anywhere else*, it’s a huge waste of food. I guarantee you that the lion’s share of most Tamburino’s sandwiches goes into the trash. It’s a terrible waste, and it doesn’t make the sandwich taste any better. Tamburino’s has been around for a long time, and they’ve always done this. They haven’t gone out of business yet, which means that people *like* their sandwiches. The reason? Because apparently, people love the«wow» factor. Personally, piling 5 pounds of meat onto a sandwich doesn’t get my gravy going. I appreciate good food, and good presentation. This qualifies as neither. The other thing that makes Tamburino’s sandwiches bad, which you can also see from looking at the pictures, is that they open up a bread roll and THEYPILETHEINGREDIENTSINTOTHE *MIDDLE* OFTHEGODDAMNSANDWICH. In other words, when you take a bite, you’re either going to get a big mouthful of ham, a bit mouthful of lettuce and tomato, or a big mouthful of mayonnaise. THEWHOLEPOINTOF A SANDWICH is that you get a mouthful of EVERYTHING with every bite!!! In short, Tamburino’s sandwiches are stupid. You can’t even fit your jaw around it, and then when you do, you get a mouthful of only 1 ingredient. Stupid. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is that their ingredients are of good quality.

I was in the area today & decided to stop by to see if they would challenge my hunger again, this time with a weekly special. I was drawn to the shrimp po’ boy hero, featuring fried shrimp with lettuce, tomato, Cajun mayo & cole slaw. I was hoping the shrimp would be pan fried instead of deep fried, but no matter — this hero was excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate at all to order it again. Predictably, the hero was stuffed full. There is no was you will feel cheated by ordering this sandwich. This place makes for happy eaters.

What more can I say about Tamby’s than what is already said. This is an amazing deli with amazing food. Sandwiches are huge and delicious and will definitely last for more than one meal. The family that owns this place is always friendly and inviting and they over great party packages. If you are in the Woodmere/Cedarhurst and are hungry, this is definitely the place to stop.

Wow what a sandwich. All authentic fresh Italian ingredients. There is nothing to complain about. One of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The picture I posted is the Supremo. $ 9 gets you this enormous sandwich. Enjoy!

Orded by phone after being left on hold for 10 minutes, then put me on hold twice while attempting to place my order. When the order arrived, one of our dishes was missing. The meatballs in the meatball hero were tasteless and the pastrami hero was fatty and overly salted. I had high hopes from the many good reviews, but we will not order again from this restaurant.

Their sandwiches are good but so overpriced! Granted they give you heaping portions of meat that can last for multiple meals, but id rather pay less for a human sized amount and be on my way

My favorite place to get a sub! The prices are reasonable and you get a tremendous amount of meat on your sandwich. They have really fresh deli cold cuts and great salads.

Tamby’s still one of my favorite delis of all time. Rarely anything has changed about it in the 15+ years i’ve gone.(It used to be located across the street from me.) Sure, the prices have steepened, but inflation happens. It’s been a while since i’ve had their breakfast sandwiches(bacon egg and cheese on a roll) but i do recall the bacon being hit or miss. They used to overfry it or cook it just right. Anyway, it was always fresh and made to order. And it always came with two ojs. It was well worth it. And their sandwiches are still huge, as i receive snapchats from my friends who reside and occasionally grab a sub here.

The King of all Sandwiches! I don’t even know if it’s still considered a sandwich once they make it this big! It’s literally 5 lbs of sandwich. I recommend the Tamby’s Special — I dare you to eat more than half. Great deli that I’ve been following since they moved from their old location in Cedarhurst. Definitely a great place for an awesome sandwich.

Where ever you live come here and get a sandwich. Any sandwich. It’s an experience. You can share one but you’ll resent the person that took half later. I’m a big fan of the Tamby special but there are no losers on the menu. Trust me, I’m an eater.
