I grew up in Cedarburg. I have been eating Tomaso’s since I was a kid. I am 27 now and had not been there for about a year. I have probably gotten pizza from there over 100 times in my lifetime. My boyfriend and I decided to order a carryout pizza a few weeks ago. We ordered a sausage, mushroom, and artichoke pizza. We usually wouldn’t order artichokes on a pizza, but we went for something a little different. I know how Tomaso’s does their pizza. Crust, then cheese, then sauce, and toppings on top. However when we got this pizza, we did not taste any cheese. So we dug underneath the sauce. There was so little cheese that we actually did not find any at all. The crust was nice and thin and the sauce is always good. But the toppings were strange. The sausage was terrible. It was like cheap, uniform, low-quality meatballs were everywhere. I mean… they were pretty bad. One of the best things about Tomaso’s used to be their Italian sausage. Now… I’m sorry to say. but it’s just crap. The mushrooms were fine. But they had put so many artichokes on the pizza that it completely overwhelmed it. I will say that I tried another pizza about a week later. we just got a veggie pizza to see if that was any good. It was more than good. it was amazing. Plenty of cheese and great toppings. I will make note that Tomaso’s does not have good sausage anymore. Also, I’ve learned my lesson to say easy artichokes if I ever order them again. I have no idea what people are talking about when they say there is a crabby bartender. People get bent out of shape when they have to get their lazy butts off their chair and walk 5 feet to get their pizza. God forbid. Don’t take it out on the bartender, that’s just how this restaurant operates.

Took my sweetie on her 4th day of our traditional week long birthday celebration; she loves the thin crust pizza here. We order a 16″ to ensure leftovers. We had cheese, sausage, and mushroom. I love their choice in sausage, very tasty. I did notice the cheese was on the bottom of the pizza with the sauce on top. It kind of made the toppings slip around when biting into a piece. After pondering the layering a bit I thought maybe the cheese on the bottom protects the thin crust from getting soggy. If I’m close to right then that is a trade off I am willing to accept. This survey asked about«groups» and all I can say is the seating is mostly high back booths servicing 4 or tables for 2.

A great little place to take the whole family. All the staff really take pride in making sure you have a good experience in their establishment. One more thing… just might be the best pizza I’ve ever had. The bacon cheeseburger pizza is second to none.

great pizza… the staff is grouchy. Salad dressings are from a bottle, old lettuce… but I just go for the pizza.

There is ‘one star’ in this rating because I couldn’t figure out how to go on with ‘none’. I have never in my life seen poorer service than they have here. You have to go to the bar and get your setting, your menu, your drinks, your food, your napkins and what not. There are no signs saying this but after you sit for a while it becomes apparent. Then when you go to the bar to turn in your order, you end up just hoping it got logged in and you’ll eventually get some food. My wife and I sat there for a little over an hour and never even got our salads. When I’d try to get the owners’ attention I got a disgusted look. Three different parties which entered after us were served before we even got salads. One thing I noticed is that most who walk in are friends of the owner. I have no complaint about this method of doing business but I believe you should put up a sign which says«If we don’t know you, let’s keep it that way».

We pick up pizza from Tomaso’s at least once a week because, quite simply, it’s the best pizza on the planet! Zesty, tomatoey sauce; heavenly sausage. The thin crust is crispy and flakey; the deep dish doey & flakey. If you like non traditional pizza, their buffalo chicken is amazing!

Toppings are good, sauce is good, dough is disgusting and bland. Employees(especially the old bar tender) are ruuuuuuuude. It’s also overpriced for the quality of pizza.

Tight squeeze, especially on a Friday night at Cedarburg’s Wine and Harvest Festival. Six of us crammed in a booth ordered one large vegetarian and one large cheese and sausage. The report: Sauce was average. Oddly, the sauce was spooned over the cheese on the cheese and sausage.(Mixed reviews on this.) Sausage seemed like little canned meatballs, hardly fresh sausage. However, the thin crispy crust is the hype here. Best thin crust in the Milwaukee area, hands down. So if thin is your thing, make this your fling. Service is decent given the crowds.

The menu is amazing here. So many pizza toppings, appetizers, pasta dishes and much more! My kids loved the little 6″ deep dish pizza. It may sound small but it’s enough to fill up a kid! The pasta was absolutely delicious and so was the Ceasar salad. We found the bartender to be very friendly. It’s a small clean place and a bit dark. The lighting is a little weird, but what matters is how good the food is. Not to mention the great prices. Enjoyed it a lot and will be back.

Growing up in Mequon, we would often drive to Cedarburg just to go to Tomaso’s. This was many moons ago and spending last weekend in Cedarburg, I worried if it was as good as I remembered. Well, worry no more as Tomaso’s continues to deliver. Quintessential«Milwaukee Style» thin crust pizza with classic toppings. Simple. Solid. Super.

Best pizza in town! A lot of people talk poorly of the bartender Jim(ponytail guy), but if you ever want to hear such a complete history of the town through someone who has lived here his entire life, Jim is the guy!

I walked in on a cold day and sat at the bar to have a warm. This was my first visit and I knew nothing about Tomaso’s. The bartender/owner said«we’re known for our thin crust pizza.» I ordered the«Lunch Special» 10 inch Thin Crust Cheese Pizza. It was thin and crispy with a savory, slightly sweet sauce. It hit the spot on this chilly day. I’m keen to go back and I know exactly what I’ll be ordering; 10 inch Thin Crust Cheese Pizza. Nothing exotic just darn good pizza.

I don’t understand why the guy with the ponytail is allowed to deal with the public. He is so RUDE! he shouldn’t be there. I won’t go back the guy is loosing money for who ever owns Tomaso’s.He just lost my business &I will spred the word not to go there. I asked about a food item if the kitchen could season it with salt. He told me «No, do it myself at the table» He said they wouldn’t know how much salt to season it with. REALLY?! Then get a better cook. RUDERUDERUDE!!!

The 2-star rating is mainly for the completely disrespectful rude male bartenders, one of them being one of the owners himself. The pony tail guy mustve learned this in his training. Weve been coming here since we were kids. As much as we enjoy their pizza, we vow never to return! I refuse to spend another dollar at a place that treats customers as they do! They seem annoyed that youre there, if u dont understand their ordering system or god forbid, youd have a question. Try it if you dare, but trust me, dont waste your time or money! Its a bit of a drive, but our go-to hands down favorite pizza place is random lake pizzeria! The owner tom puts his heart into his food, making from scratch dough, sauce & ice cream! Hes super friendly & also very grateful. Give it a try & the houghty touhty arrogant pricks at tomasos can close their doors!

Just can’t seem to figure out why everyone loves this pizza so much. The service piece is a bit confusing, but easy enough to understand. I am talking strictly pizza people, its just«ok». I have had better. The thin crust is good, but nothing special and the deep dish is doughy and marginal as well. The wings are weak(wasn’t expecting much with them though) as well. Its an «ok» pizza with odd service. I prefer Sal’s over Thomasso’s.

I went here for lunch the other day and did not encounter the«a$$» bartender everyone mentions. We had a lovely lady behind the bar that explained the process. The process is this: you order at the bar, serve your own drinks, get your own silver/plate, get your pizza when it’s up. Basically, the bartender does not come out from behind the bar and there is no server, so guess what? YOU get to be the server for the day. I was annoyed only because we were on a work lunch with four of us and we didn’t know the«drill» so I kept having to get up to get everything. I think we would have preferred to go someplace sit down and someone waited on us but obviously we didn’t know before. Now I know. The pizza was REALLY good. Seriously awesome. It is thin crust(my fave) and if I lived in town I would def be getting take out. The price was really reasonable too.

I need to point out some specifics on why I really enjoyed this place: 1. The bar was super comfy. Big padded stools and bar. 2. Brewer’s game was on 3. The head bartender stands behind the bar and orchestrates the food coming out, «large cheese!» Then, you have to get up and pick it up. I see some people have reviewed him negatively. Those reviewers just have thin skin. Enjoy the dive bar ambiance. 4. Sauce on top of the cheese… brilliant. I inquired about this and the bartender explained the advantages of sauce on top. Dude knows his cracker crust pizza. 5. Sauce has a great twang to it. 6. I was inspired to create food adjectives like«twang.»

Yes, their pizza is good. Yes, their bartender is a complete asshole. Yes, you should order takeout.
