Stuff Etc

I am very disappointed with my experience with this store. I took several items in one box (you are allowed 1 box without an appointment) and left them on a Monday. I marked NO by the questions do you want to donate any unwanted items. Both my email and phone number were on the ticket along with my account #.
I hadn’t heard anything back and stopped in one day later in the same week and was told by an associate in receiving I would be getting an email and that it will take several days to get through my items. After a couple more days I called again and an associate on the phone asked me if I got an email. I answered no and she looked online and saw that I had items under my # but that an email hadn’t been sent yet, so she told me to wait a couple more days and I should be getting an email. I didn’t want to keep stopping in and have them tell me it wasn’t ready but thought I better go back this am. (I still hadn’t received an email from them)
I was told by an associate that my things had been gone through and since I didn’t pick them up any items Stuff didn’t take were donated! Keep in mind I had marked that I didn’t want my unwanted items donated. I can donate myself and get the tax credit. I was quite upset and asked for a manager who said my items went out this morning. The manager resent the email which I got instantly on my phone. I did a search on my email and no other emails came up from Stuff, Etc. The manager told me next time I should ask to speak to someone in receiving. Shouldn’t the person who answers the phone be instructed to transfer the call? This shouldn’t be my responsibility. I couldn’t even get my container back which I had the lid for at home. She offered 2 other containers which I took one thinking it may match my lid, but it doesn’t. I have been warned by others of the amounts they take from items but I thought I would try to use them again recently.
I am now out some items, my donation tax credit, and my container due to the fact that they forgot to send me the email. There was no offer to buy me another plastic bin either, only give me someone else’s used one. I am going to take my things elsewhere from now on or donate them and take the tax credit and forget this place!

Every time I walk in to this store. which granted has only been a couple of times. The price for the quality of the items are usually quite expensive. I have seen used stuff there only maybe a couple dollars less than full brand new price. and the item will be obviously used. My friend likes to look through the store. When I have went though I was always surprised as to what these people were trying to sell stuff for. I have heard some other bad things about the place about employees and I have heard others complain about the prices. All I have to say is do your research first then buy. do not buy ANYTHING from there unless you know its true value.
