Cedar Rapids Ice Arena

They could clean the glass once a decade for those of us that pay to sit in the front row! It really isn’t that difficult… otherwise I enjoy going to the games here.

Awesome arena for watching the CR RoughRiders (or for practicing your skating routine). Games here aren’t to be missed; the entertainment value is worth the dirt cheap admission. Keep your eye open for promo nights and BOGO (buy one, get one nights) on tickets and/​or food. Suites are available, too. Facility is nice and clean. Best $ 15 bucks you’ll spend this fall/​winter.

went here for a indoor football game and found the parking and navigation of this venue very easy — parking was decent and the seating was clean… the fans were entertaining —alcohol was what you would expect a little higher than a bar but you get a big can three big cans were 20.00 the hotdogs were under 4.00 so not a bad deal. Most of the seating was good no matter where you were sitting you could see…

I bought Rough Rider tickets through an awesome deal on Groupon. Since the husbeast loves anything that involves sports, I thought I would be able to snooze through the game or pick up and stitch a bit while the game blared on. I was delightfully surprised!
Our groupon tickets gave us access to the luxury suites. The seats are pretty nice, you can choose to either sit at a bar-​style counter or stadium style seats. I liked that you can buy a six pack for around 20 and have a friendly young lady cart it to your seat, keeping the remnants in a mini-​fridge in case you decide not to guzzle your beer. The groupon awarded us four or five chuck-​a-​puck, where you throw a numbered puck on to the ice for the chance to win an awesome, amazing prize.
The game was more thrilling than an NHL game I attended in December of ’10. The game was really amazing! I would recommend anyone in the area to come and check out a Rough Riders game!

This is a clean and fun place to go! There’s not a over welming amount of people that go here to skate, but they do have youth hockey league’s and The Rough Riders play here. So before you go make sure there is an open skate.
