Finally got around to entering the Blind Pig to give it a try. First off, the noise level almost got me to turn around and go elsewhere. Hunger often times rules over common sense. Service was prompt and courteous. I ordered wings, as usual. The Pig’s wings were tiny and a bit dry. Fortunately it was Wednesday(.50 wing night) and I didn’t have to pay $ 10 for them. I honestly don’t see myself coming back, there wasn’t anything spectacular about this place in my opinion.

This place went from family restaurant to outright bar last year. The first evidence of this change is the condition of the entrance — hundreds of cigarette butts litter the parking lot and area around the front door. Some of them are embedded in dried vomit. Its very inviting in that trashy college dive bar way. Inside feels the same — grimy bar carpet and beat-up fixtures. Not exactly fine dining in any aspect. Given the outward appearance I was surprised to see an older crowd on a late saturday night. Mostly townies/locals throwing back drinks and singing karaōke. The bartender singing ‘ordinary people’ while cleaning tables. Amazing talent tonight. I dont know if they still do food, whenever I get out there its just booze and the kind of service you might expect at such a bar — proficient drink making without much in the way of presentation. If you feel like going someplace ‘nice’ look elsewhere. If you feel like going out for drinkies and don’t really care if you have to step over vomit and trash to get inside… this is your place. Service is ‘standard’ at best. Two stars because I’m not sure if they do food anymore so I’ll leave them the possibility of reasonable results there…

Sat down and waited for the waitress to acknowledge us. Well 7 tables later somebody came over. Didn’t bother to wipe the dirty table. We at that time just wanted to see if anybody served tables or just said hi and giggled with their friends. Very disappointed.
