We stayed at this hotel Christmas Eve. We usually stay at the Hampton or the mariot because every year we visit family. Both of those hotels said that they were doing construction on their website, so we decided to go here. We pulled in and you could see from the outside that they were doing construction which they didn’t state on their website like the others. We check in and the lady says that we are in the third floor which is messy because of the construction. We got up their and their was items on the floor, pillows and blankets tossed everywhere and plaster all over the carpet. We then got in to our room and it was small. We were the only ones on the floor. It was also very outdated. As for the actual room, the bed were pretty soft. But the room didn’t have any spare pillows which you think they would because we had a hid-abed. The bathroom was small and so was the somewhat of a kitchen. Not coming back here for sure.

We stayed on a Saturday night. The hotel was all booked, or close to it. We had adequate parking, but that may be a bit deceiving since we pulled in by about 9pm. The room was clean and quiet. The bath towels are small and appear cheap. The bed was comfortable. Don’t bother with the wifi. It is worthless. Breakfast had a good selection, but only 6 modest tables in dining area. We were directed to eat down the hall in a conference room… not really pleasant, but better than eating standing up or taking food all the way back to our room. The hotel could use a good facelift, but despite the shortcomings, I would stay again. I base this choice mostly on the belief that we needed a place that was clean, quiet and safe and this hotel filled those needs.

Price was decent. The gal at the desk at night, Kendra was awesome. Breakfast was ok. Their supper was a surprise. The disappointing side was the room was dirty. There were prints and marks on the bathroom door, dirty clothes on the floor, the bed sheets were stained. Yuck!

I was in town for my best friends wedding(an actual wedding, not the movie) and ended up at the Baymont Inn for two nights. I feel like«Eek!» is slightly harsh, but considering the other options so close it’s really on point. The hallway smelled really gross. The room was ok, I had an urge to sanitize everything though. The free breakfast wasn’t bad, but the«dinning room» was way too small and a mess. Considering that really no one is going to be at this place without driving there the parking lot is way too small. What you think is the parking lot is really someone else’s parking lot; you’ve been warned. If you’re in Cedar Rapids and there are other hotel rooms available; stay in them. They’re worth the extra $ 10 – 20.

Just no. With so many other options in the area, no reason to stay at this run down location. Stayed here only because the company booked it on their dime. Lobby and common spaces are in rough shape. Off Smells overwhelm the hallways and the furniture is on its last legs. I wouldn’t have taken them if the curb if I was still a college student. The elevator was clunky and the pool reeked of over chlorination. Save yourself the regret and go elsewhere.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel uses a really interesting door key system(kind of like a usb looking thing) which was kind of neat. The room was mostly clean(except the chair to the one table had a few stains on it). The desk and king bed were nice and convenient for working on the computer while traveling. Overall, it was not too expensive, it was safe, it was mostly clean, and the staff was friendly.

The hotel staff here is nice and helpful. My room on the other hand was not very impressive. The bed was ok and the tv was nice.(Better than others I’ve used in hotel situations.) the décor is very sad and dated. All of the lighting in the room is CFL’s and not the good ones, they make you feel like you are in an institution.(The entire room being painted white and the baron walls do not help.) The furniture is banged up and looks like it landed here on its travels from the 80’s. There was a fridge in the room, which was nice. The second most important thing about a hotel room: the shower(After the bed.) was not the worst I’ve ever used, but was definitely in the bottom 50%. The shower head has 2 different settings: disappointing and more disappointing. There’s no wide spray, and although has enough pressure, it is focused in too small of a pattern. Also, if you like to look out of windows, don’t plan on it. The window in my room, was completely covered in — something. It was all white and you literally could not see out of it. Baymont: it’s time to figure out what a modern traveler wants in a $ 90 room.
