I recently tried to place an order by phone. It was a disaster from start to finish. The person who took my order was rude and inefficient. By the time the order was finally placed, I felt exasperated. Later that day I looked online at my Visa account and saw that the amount charged to my account was $ 80 higher than it should have been. I immediately called Ava’s Flowers to get the mistake rectified and to confirm the order. What a fiasco! The order that the customer service person had on file was wrong, including the flowers and the time and date of the delivery! I should have cancelled the whole order right then and there. I have never had a worse experience with a florist. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

I’ve been to this Flowerama location many times for various events; birthdays, anniversaries, thinking-​of-​you, sympathy, etc. They typically have what I want at reasonable prices, although the sales floor can look sparse at times. I like assorted bouquets and they always have them ready to go. Staff here has always been friendly and accommodating. In addition to flowers and plants they sell many other non-​flower items: balloons, cards, lawn/​garden décor, stuffed animals, etc. This location is extremely convenient for me and much easier than trying to park at the Johnson Ave. Hy-​Vee and purchase flowers there. Check them out!
