Great deals on merchandise but no one ever spoke to me and waited in line for way to long.

Originally bought my refrigerator from appliances, not only did I find out it’s more expensive, but delivery never even showed up on my scheduled date. Went to Home Depot and couldn’t be happier also saved a couple hundred.

Based solely on this one purchase 5 stars. Bought an item online — breeze — and choice free ship to store. Merchandise pickup took about one whole minute. Simple, convenient, and fast.

Buy your appliances elsewhere unless you like to be extra charged at the register and wait 2 ½ weeks for the delivery. We had several add on charges at the register weekend charge, delivery charge, hose and filter. We are still waiting for our order set for Saturday. Now they say won’t be until Monday. Wow if I could do this over again I would not choose Sears.

Typical Sears — they have a lot of everything and some departments have really obnoxious sales staff who just want to take your money. So skip all that and buy online and get better pricing, additional discounts through online coupons/credit card shopping rewards(discover) and easy pickup. The guys in the pickup area are super friendly and go out of their way to help load your items for you.

My wife and I purchased a new Kenmore washer and dryer for around $ 1600.00 on 02 – 13 and were told they couldn’t deliver until 02 – 28 due to the washer not being in stock. I gave the salesman the code to our gated neighborhood so as to make note of it in the system. Prior to our delivery date I received a call to verify and leave any additional notes. I once again added the gate code for the delivery drivers. Finally the day came to get our new appliances. I took the day off from work since they’re obviously unable to deliver something if nobody is home. I waited all day for a phone call, nothing. Finally at 3pm they called explaining they didn’t have our gate code and decided to leave. I ran down to the gate and called dispatch to ONCE again give them my gate code. I waited by the gate patiently to assist the delivery drivers if they happen to forget the code again. Finally dispatch called me saying they had tried the gate code again and it didn’t work. Funny, because I was at the gate and failed to see any delivery truck nor drivers. She explained they would have to reschedule my delivery for a later date. I was very upset and asked to speak to a manager at the dispatch office. After speaking to a dispatch manager they told me there was nothing they could do for me. I then called the store that I purchased the washer and dryer from and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to Dane and Johnny and they too couldn’t help me. I guess being a manager at Sears means nothing since you really don’t have the power to make managerial decisions. Nope, that’s left to the mystery people at Sears with whom are unavailable at your request. Dane supposedly called the dispatch office to argue with the manager but couldn’t get anything accomplished. It seems no matter who you talk to at Sears nobody can make anything happen, you’re basically screwed. Thanks Sears for wasting a whole day’s worth of work so that I could argue with your incompetent dispatch team and store managers. I still have yet to see the washer and dryer I spent so much of my hard earned money on. I can’t return it at this point because there is a 50% restocking fee, man I guess they have me by the balls now! Thanks again Sears FORNOTHING!

So we were in the market for a new dishwasher. We were upgrading and wanted something a little higher end. Home Depot could order it, but the sales associate there was the opposite of knowledgeable about higher end dishwashers. It seems because of the economy, they aren’t carrying those at this time. We wanted to see what we were buying first and talk to someone who could confirm/deny what we read online. The high end stores were closed on Sunday so we headed over the Sears to see what they had. They did have a pretty good selection on the show room floor. We were able to browse the selection. However, when we went to ask questions, the sales lady had no clue. I don’t know how you’re an appliance sales person and don’t know about the products you’re selling. Luckily, the manager was there and he was able to answer questions about the dishwashers. We ended up buying the dishwasher, having them deliver, install, and haul the old one away. The delivery guy was on time and got everything hooked up running, plumber crack included. However, as he was leaving, he threw a bunch of the dishwasher wrapping in my recycle bin. I had to go back and put it in my trash(since it was not recyclable materials) and it filled my just emptied trash can. A bit annoying because I thought they would take that stuff with them. Overall, I don’t think I would buy another appliance from them. The price was a bit higher than other listings in the area and it cost me extra to have it delivered and taken away. I know Home Depot would have done it for free. The show floor was nice, but if we wanted to look at it, I might go check something out a Sears, and then order it from Home Depot or even wait to go to a higher end kitchen place. It would take a little longer, but I was unimpressed with our sales lady and I really don’t like cleaning up after installation people.
