On Monday Massage Envy tried to make it right. They called and offered a free massage. When I refused, they refunded the extra money they charged for my visit. I respect their effort to make it right. Nonetheless, what took place and the way I was treated initially should’ve never happened.

I wouldn’t even give it 1 star if Unilocal didn’t make me. I am 9 ½ months pregnant and was in desperate need for a prenatal massage! I called Saturday and booked the appointment via phone with my credit card and everything for Sunday(the next day). I was so excited because I desperately needed it and was looking forward to it! I show up for my appointment 10 minutes early to check in and they cannot find my appointment!!! Imagine being pregnant and in back pain and being turned a way because they can’t seem to know where my appointment is. I said«ok. But I gave my cc number to someone!» She didn’t offer anything except to rebook me for later in the week! No thanks! I sat in my car in the front of the massage place and cried. I have never been so disappointed. I get home and my husband tells me to call and speak to a manager when I called«there was no Manager on duty till tomorrow». I intend on calling tomorrow because this is terrible customer service and terrible to do to someone who was looking forward to the service and planned her whole day around it!!!

I am very satisfied with the technique of the massages however I really think that if you pay for an hour, you should get an hour massage… I got to massage envy at 4:20pm my 4:30pm appointment. Waited till 4:32pm when my therapist came in and said that they misplaced some of my paperwork so I had to fill out a form again. So I didn’t get into the therapy room until 4:43pm. During my massage the therapist says that she will go ahead and work up until 5:30pm since I had to fill out paperwork. OK I am not a math major but shouldn’t that have been the stop time anyway??? Since my appt was at 4:30pm??? Funny that she actually thought she was making up for their mistake by ending at 5:30pm… If you do not get a hour massage then why charge for it… why don’t they charge people by how much time they actually spend getting a massage? Well at least I can control how much I tip :)

I love massage envy. It’s my once a month me time to be pampered and relax. Today I tried a facial there for the first time instead of my usual massage. It was wonderful. Kelly was so sweet and took the time to evaluate my skin and ok everything with me beforehand so that we were on the same page. I walked out feeling refreshed and fabulous. She made it such a great experience that I only want to ask for her from now on. Thank you Kelly!

This business is the most inefficiently ran business I have EVER experienced. Examples 1. They open at 8 but did not answer their phone until 11 am after I had left messages to call me regarding appointment. 2. Do not return calls. 3. Are so short staffed that they could not scheduled a facial a week in advance. The place looks great from the reception but not a good location for service.

Pricing is my main problem. Well it has its perks but the price and membership overall is a bit ridiculous. You have to pay a monthly fee for«membership» and then you must pay for your messages every month as well, depending upon style and length. You could be looking at $ 80-$ 100 a month that you get a message and still $ 50 ish on the months you don’t. The customer service could use a little work. Not real good about picking up the phone or returning calls quick. The cancellation policy is strict. My massage therapist is excellent so that and the contract keep me coming back. For a chain I see where they are trying to go but they are missing the mark!

Filled out a form to schedule an appointment, never heard from them. They either need to train their staffs for follow up, or check if their internet service is working.

I called three times during business hours 2 days in a row with no answer. Then I left a message, waited a day, and still I got no response. I had a prepaid message so finally I ended up getting an appointment. I waited 15 minutes after my appointment time and the massage ended 10 minutes early. I will never go to this massage envy again for lack of customer service respect.

Called to make appt at 10:00 am — no one was available to take my call. I called back at 2:00 and the phone was busy so I called back in about 10 mins. I asked if they had any appts left today — the only appts available were at 5:00 pm(traffic — yuk) and 8:00 pm(dinner anyone?) The girl stated they had been extremely busy today. Had they called me back at 10:00 am when I left the msg, I could have made arrangements to go to a different location.

I have been a member at Massage Envy for over 3 years. For the most part, I have had a great experience. Sometimes you can hear people in the hall and doors opening/losing. I recently had Deborah and she was AMAZING! The waiting rooms are nice and relaxing. The facility is always clean. They also have great holiday décor! You should definitely give them a shot.

A little history… I love spas! I used to travel worldwide for work. In each place I would try to find the best local spa and check it out during my visit. So it took a while for me to try Massage Envy, but I’ve been going here for over a year now… and even joined their monthly membership. My massage therapist and the facilities get different reviews. Massage Envy is NOT a spa… you can hear people in the hallway when you’re trying to relax. The waiting area is ok, but doesn’t exactly set the mood of tranquility. But it’s clean so that’s always good. For a spa rating, eh(2 star for a spa guru)…don’t come here for a «spa day.» Save your money and go somewhere nicer. However… I go back about once a month because I found Laura(5 star) and she’s great. My back needs all kinds of work. Laura does therapeutic work on me(lots of trigger point)…I leave there feeling beat up, but after a session with her I can function for a few weeks. She’s why I’m a regular.

I really enjoy going to massage envy. I have tried a few of the therapists there but only Lonnie is worth going to see. He is amazing at massage! He only works 2 days a week but he is worth the wait. The front desk can be both helpful and not, it depends on who you get. Overall I do look forward to going.

I’ve been putting off going to a Massage Envy because I assume that they are more focused on business and money than on health and wellness considering they have a bajillion locations. Sure, they have awesome convenient hours and there’s one located down the road from you. And you. Yep, you, too. But $ 78 for a one-hour massage that doesn’t even last a full 60 minutes? Ouch! Maybe I’m a little out of touch with the massage world and that’s an average price, who knows. Fortunately, I was able to get the $ 49 introductory special. Anyone who has never been to Massage Envy can get it! Just make sure you mention it over the phone when you make your appointment — they don’t let just anyone give you a massage for that price. I was paired with Camilla, a massage therapist who is very new to the field, but was eager to make sure that my birthday massage was the best. They were running late and she took me in about 15 minutes after my appointment time, but made sure that I received my full… 45 minutes? I don’t even know. Regardless, I walked away feeling relaxed, and the migraine I’d had for almost 48 hours before had finally disappeared, something that no amount of Excedrin or Aleve had been able to accomplish. Of course my late appointment meant that everyone had gone home except for one woman who, I felt, was peeved at having to stay late. That is just my impression, though, but I hope Camilla didn’t get an ear-full for helping make my birthday awesome. I may go again, but I’ll have to either save my pennies or ask for gift certificates for birthdays and holidays.

Tried to take my 14-year-old daughter her for a sports massage before her big swim meet. Called for an appointment, drove all the way there, filled out the paper work, then they tell me they won’t work with anyone under 18 without a doctor’s note because of liability reasons. Why didn’t they ask for ages when I made the appointment? Why isn’t this information posted on their website? This whole experience was very strange to me and not at all what I was expecting. Needless to say, we won’t be using Massage Envy.
