I’ve been once and really enjoyed the food. The margaritas were strong, the Tex-Mex was cheesey, hot, and yummy. I plan on returning

First time here. Service was good friendly. food was good. didnt like having to pat for tortillas.. And cheese. seems as if mexican places are raising prices and getting cheap on the items that should be free. But all n all we were happy with our dinner

Looking for a good mexican martini? THIS is the place! Not just the normal mix and tequila — they do it right with good tequila, Grand Marnier, fresh lime juice and a splash of olive juice. Makes my mouth water just thinking of it! And the salsa and chips are always great. Fresh and homemade, just spicy enough to make it tasty and not bland. Of course, the queso compuesto is a must try but the pork chop dinner is my favorite meal. Oh that sauce! The staff is consistent, friendly and eager to please. This is our go-to place for a good drink, reasonably priced food, a laid back atmosphere and smiling, neighborly faces.

Margaritas are the best here! I can’t bring myself to sip ritas anywhere else… Great queso, good atmosphere, and I’ve become friends with the staff over the years! My ‘hole in the wall’ place to go.

I met some work friends who live by here. I suggested it because they wanted some place inexpensive with margaritas and in their ‘hood. I have been to the S. Lamar location a bunch of times and knew it fit the bill, so not knowing anything about that part of town, we settled on this place. The food is good; just standard tex-mex. There is nothing special about it whatsoever. It’s tasty enough though. I had the top shelf margarita. It is not the same as the other location and was pretty weak in alcohol content. The atmosphere is nothing like the S. Lamar location, being that it’s not really conducive to happy hour action. It’s more if a family type place. That’s not what we were looking for to talk out our work woes! The dissatisfied part of my review comes when it was time to settle the bill. I’m not sure if the waitstaff was new or what, but they had no idea how to handle people paying separately. I asked for a pen and told the waitress we were going to split the bill. She looked confused and walked off and told the other waitress. There seemed to be confusion and they got a manager involved. Fifteen minutes! later, one of them came and brought a pen finally. I told her we already had our bill figured out and would write our names and amounts on the back of the bill with our cards. She said that I needed to write the card numbers too. Huh? Can she not match the last name on the paper to the one on the card? I explained that the name will match the card, so it should be easy for her to figure out. The whole tab situation took over 30 minutes to get out of there.

The staff here is pretty friendly, and the food is pretty decent. Prices are alright, too. Maybe not the cleanest place, but it’s alright.

Not the best food and ritas but I’ve definitely had worse. Nice waiter. I don’t even remember what I ordered but I guess that’s saying something. It’s far enough away from the house that we probably won’t be back unless we happen to be driving by. If it’s in your ‘hood, give it a try!

Three part review !.) Mexican Martini’s Absolutely the best in Cedar Park. They start with quality tequila, a few ounces of sweet and sour mix and finished with Grand Manier garnished with lime wedge and olives served with a funky short stem martini glass. This delicious cocktail of love is brought to you in a 32 oz. shaker with strainer which means you are filling your martini glass multiple times throughout the meal. I think they are $ 7.50 maybe 8 bucks but a bargain. Forget the margaritas this is what you want in a refreshing Mexican spirit. 2.)The Meal I have eaten here 20 times at least. It’s decent Tex-Mex food but… uneven is a good word. Great chips and a wonderful fresh salsa. I am fond of Mexican seafood and while I have tried several dishes on the menu the shrimp brochette is the only one I would have you try. Char-grilled shrimp, bacon wrapped stuffed with Jack cheese and jalapenos cooked flawlessly every time I have had it. Warning! Most of the other shrimp dishes utilize small bay shrimp that are tasteless. Make sure if you order shrimp it says jumbo shrimp. The tilapia dishes are Ok but i hesitate to recommend them. On to the non-seafood menu selections. They have a wonderful carne guisada. My wife swears by the chicken fajita quesadillas. I keep ordering their Chile rellenos but they can overcook the chicken into a shredded mess. The beef version is ground beef and the cheese is a nice alternative. My Son and daughter both like the cheese enchiladas and combination plates. I like the suiza and chipolte enchilada plates. Tacos and tamales are OK. 3.) The restaurant is a family run enterprise with 3 restaurants. It is Austin funky, relaxed and casual. They have a nice patio area and have recently repainted and spruced up I have noticed. The inside has a main dining area adjacent to a bar area. Both areas have basic TVs. They have turned a ballgame on for me on request before. The crew inside seems to be extended family. They are a little cool but will engage you if you try. The service… again here’s that word, uneven. Nothing horrible but nothing great either. In summary: This a comfortable place for Tex Mex comfort food and a GREAT Mexican martini

Wasn’t bad, wasn’t great. Price was fair, building is a little old and could use a freshening. Food wasn’t salty. In fact, black beans might even have been a little bland. A solid 2.5 stars.

La Feria is the product of what happens when you just up and decide to open a Mexican food restaurant one day. I grew up with 3 star Mexican food, but it was authentic and the atmosphere was perfect in every way.(Check out Gomez Restaurant in Brownwood, TX if you want to see what a REAL Mexican food restaurant looks like — it’s declined in recent years, but still original) With that said, La Feria is nothing more than a place to go if you need to get your belly full, get good and drunk, and do both pretty cheap. The drinks are amazingly strong. Two margaritas will do you just fine. Other than that, all I can say about the place is «Not terrible.» I’d give it a 2.5 just because of the drinks, but there’s no way I’d give it a full 3. It is not A-Ok.

I had wanted to try this place for quite a while, and when we got a coupon in the mail for them, I finally convinced the wife we should give it a try. We went at about 6 pm on Saturday, and noticed that only a couple of tables were occupied. I then noticed that one of the tables was occupied by employees of the restaurant who had no customers to wait upon. Out waitress was friendly, and the food was cheap. The bright spots were the tortillas and the guacamole. Otherwise the food was definitely sub-par. The chips were obviously discount brand, and the salsa was runny and too spicy for the average anglo tongue. I ordered the pork chop dinner, and my wife had chile rellenos. The sauce on my chops was good, but the meat itself was very overcooked and tough. My wife described her meal as a «mess.» At least they got my daughter’s grilled cheese and french fries right. If this restaurant was in Kansas or Minnesota, it would probably be doing just fine. Since it is in Texas, sub par Mexican food will not cut it, especially when there are so many better choices in the area. It is obvious that this place has been on life support for some time. If the owners and management are not prepared to take drastic action, they may as well pull the plug. No amount of coupon mailings will save this place if the customers don’t come back after the first visit. The problem is not what is on the menu, it is the food itself. Either hire a new cook, or at least talk to an outside consultant to fix the situation.

This place is good with entrees and rice and beans. It’s a good place to bring kids too. It’s simple and no frills but the facilities are clean and that’s a plus for me. Waitstaff is quick with drinks and the food is served quickly but you have to wave them down after you get your food if you want anything else after that. That should be apparent when you see the«seat yourself» sign upon entering. They recently added a buffet but I suggest ordering from the menu even when there is a buffet available. The entrees are just better tasting than anything on their buffet bar. Traditional fare, fajitas, enchiladas and tacos are always filling and tasty. If you want a drink the happy hour prices are a good deal and their frozen margaritas are potent.

After driving by this place for quite a while, I decided to stop by and check it out. Since it is a gorgeous day out, we decided to sit on the patio. Our server was prompt if not just purely functionary. Not really interested in being friendly, but was efficient and kept drinks filled. We decided on the«choriqueso» appetizer to start off. It came and it took us a minute to figure out that it wasn’t an app that consisted of queso dip with chorizo added, it was a plate of melted cheese with chorizo on it. It was really and I mean really greasy. Totally unappetizing and gross. They should have at least strained the chorizo on a napkin first. I have a habit of ordering Carne Guisada to judge a Mexican restaurant and theirs was blah. It didn’t suck, but wasn’t anything that separate them from any place down the road. My wife’s burrito was«the worst burrito I have had in years.» She later revised her opinion to «it wasn’t that bad, but I’ve had better at Taco Bell.» We both rather enjoyed the salsa. All in all, we will never come back due to the bad food.

We came for the lunch buffet and since we showed up at 11am when it started we had to wait about 5 minutes but totally worth it for really fresh dishes. They had rice, refried and borracho beans, picadillo ground beef, beef and ckn fajitas, carne guisada, ckn flautas, salad and fruit salad. Nice spread, great staff, friendly manager and the other customers were even great… A lady(customer) passed by and asked if I would like her to bring me a spoon back as I forgot it when getting some beans. All for $ 7.50 we will for sure be back here :-)

Love this place. Friendly staff and service. Always prompt. The vegetarian burritos with ranchero sauce are soooo good. The condition of the bathrooms is a little concerning. I’ve only used them once, but there were dead crickets EVERYwhere. It was really disgusting. hopefully they clean the kitchens better. I agree about the kids running around though. Especially outside on the patio, there are always kids treating like a playground. Loud, throwing things, running all over the place. I would avoid sitting outside if you don’t like kids. Personally I wish they would put up one of those«keep your children seated» signs.

Moseyed over here for lunch yesterday. I’ve eaten here before and liked it, but they’ve apparently gone downhill in the last two years. Upon entrance, I saw the sign that told me to seat myself, which I did. Nearly ten minutes I waited to be greeted, to no avail. Granted, I came at, like, 2pm, but still. I suddenly felt as unwelcome there as Jim Belushi on prime-time TV. Or movies. As soon as I stood up to go looking around for service, that’s when a waiter came over with chips and salsa. I ordered my iced tea and cheese enchiladas lunch special(2 cheese enchiladas, rice and beans, tortillas, AND iced tea for $ 5.99). The salsa was too watery, but it was decently spicy. I mean, I came in there with sinus blockage, and I walked out feeling just fine and wiping my nose, so I have to give La Feria props for that. It still could have been spicier, though. And chunkier. Nonetheless, for my sinuses’ sake, I ate the hell out of that salsa. And here come my enchiladas. The food was hot temperature-wise, but not spice-wise. That’s fine with me. I frankly only care about my salsa being extremely spicy. The beans and rice were pretty good, and the enchiladas were adequate. I’d say a good three stars. But where are my tortillas? Wasn’t I supposed to get tortillas with this meal? The menu said I would get tortillas. My waiter never came over to ask how the food was, so I couldn’t ask about tortillas. In fact, I didn’t see him at all the whole time I was eating. So I finished my meal and wanted my tortillas and check, but I didn’t know what to do since my waiter was MIA. I spied a register several feet away, so I decided to walk over there and wait for someone to notice me so I could pay my check. Like before, as soon as I stood up, my waiter came over. Apparently standing up is a secret code in this place. I asked about tortillas, and he went and got me two white corn tortillas. Two. I’m sorry, but I can go to Camino Real and get more tortillas with my meal for the exact same price. And the waiter didn’t bring any butter with the tortillas, so he had to run another errand for me. La Feria, your food is a good three stars, but your service sucks harder than a Hoover Deluxe.

My friends and I went to La Feria on Friday night. I like it because it is cheap and the Rita’s, although not top shelf, will do a number on you. I had my favorite plate, the chalupa plate, it was delicious as always. I am from deep south Texas where all the Tex-Mex is made with a special cheap Velveeta and the ground beef is smothered in salt and comino. Yes, the tables are full of advertisements and the waitresses speak very little English, who cares, it is the best bang for this economical buck. My friends and I spent all night there drinking and eating and I only spent $ 16.00. If I would have gone any where else I would have spent twice that much. If you are looking for a simple Tex-Mex bargain this is your place! I enjoy it; don’t hate me because I’m not gourmet!

Just decided to find a quick place to eat. The foods was OK nothing special. The margaritas on the other hand were strong. Love when you can taste the tequilla over the other ingredients. Probably won’t go back again unless its just for drinks.

If it weren’t for the strong margaritas and coupon for a free enchilada dinner, this place would get one star. And unlike Chinese food, my enchiladas verdes did not taste better the next day. The servers were nice, if bored. I would be bored too with only 4 patrons in the restaurant. I wish my first review in months was more positive, but this was no bueno.

Okay, listen: the food is okay. I like the enchiladas, the queso is good enough, and I’ve never wanted to send the food back. Nothing wrong with the restaurant itself. But, hey, PARENTS. Quit letting your children run around like monkeys on crack. Just because the patio is technically outdoors doesn’t mean that it’s a freaking playground. If your child bumps into my table one more time on his or her 46th lap around the area, or throws a flip-flop in my direction one more time, or does ANYTHING even remotely that annoying and stupid, I will get up and smack you in the face. I’m not kidding. And it’s not just outside, you let them run around inside as well, so stop it. Last time I was there I saw a group of 3 children LITERALLY climbing the walls outside. One finally fell and got a bloody nose. Which is not at ALL surprising considering she was, you know, climbing a wall. The parents were a little busy drinking their margaritas and sharing those drunken horse-bray laughs with the other couple to watch the children. And before you get all«Well, childless person, what do YOU know» I know plenty. I know that my mother NEVER would have put up with that. I know that taking your kids out so you can down several margaritas is a weird thing to do. This is not McDonald’s or Burger King. I didn’t see a slide or a swing or even a giant vat filled with multi-color balls next to my table. Teach your kids to sit the hell down and eat or don’t bring them out.
