Do not go to a Vietnamese restaurant and complain about the Pad Thai or other non-Vietnamese food. A restaurant wins«Best Phở» 15 years running… Shaking my head. Excellent phở.

This is the place to go in Cedar Park for truly good Vietnamese food. The ambiance is unpretentious(when I moved to this area years ago, this building was a DQ) and family friendly. The service is pretty good, and the staff is friendly. My husband and I eat there at least once a month, and it’s always been very clean. I’m not a big fan of phở, so we usually get the vermicelli bowls – which are wonderful. The portions are generous – and it’s not just a bunch of lettuce like with some of the other Vietnamese food places in town.

Wife is a big Phở fan and she loves this place! I love that they have delicious Chinese food so there’s something on the menu for everyone. Best part is that they have a large table with a bunch of toys for little ones. Our 16 month old plays there and let’s us eat. We love coming here

We have been eating Phở for many years and the Phở here is excellent. Their Asian dishes are great as well using organic meats. The best chinese beef and mixed vegetables I have had in years since we are 100% gluten free.

Love love love their egg rolls! Seriously, they must put crack in them. I can’t stop until I eat them once I start thinking about them. So glad they expanded to cedar park.

Great eggrolls, loved the salt and pepper squid. I am not a big spring roll fan, unless they are deep fried, but my brother liked them. Order at counter, so not much on waitstaff, but the food came quickly and was very good.

I am very picky w my Phở and this place NAILEDIT!!! Not only that but they have this play area for my very overly energetic son. I was actually able to eat while he was playing, what a great idea! They had me at Phở, but the play area is the cherry on my Sunday! The husband had orange chicken and it was DELISHHHH! Highly recommended

I like Asian every once in awhile if it is good Asian food. This is good Asian food. Wife and I had General Tso and Kung Pao. Both very good Dishes. Kung Pao has a nice little kick and Tso had nice breading without being too much. Friends we went with had the Mongolian Beef and Phở«something»(I’m only a novice Asian food guy but they eat it all the time) and they raved about both dishes. Guess I found my place for my occasional Asian cravin.

I was there twice… Really affordable, fresh ingredients and very polite staff. Nice selection on the menu, quaint location, clean, I couldn’t ask for more. Most importantly, food tastes amazing! I’ll be back for sure.

Best Phở and Best Bun in central Texas, but their version of Hot and Sour Soup is quite possibly the best all around. It’s unique in taste as it is more on the Hot side than Sour, and to me that is just fine. You can’t beat their varied takes on Phở and Bun; just about every combination imaginable and all natural and organic. Of course, try the Vietnamese coffee; its is soooo good. Secret? I’ll tell you what, go there and order it and you’ll not only see it but taste it too. ;)

I was needing some Wonton soup to comfort my sore throat. I got some food to go. I got beef and broccoli, veggie fried rice, crab rangoon and of course the wonton soup. The soup was delicious even my son loved it. The beef and broccoli was fresh, made to order. The flavor was nice and you can tell it was made fresh! My son enjoyed the crab rangoon… He ate 3! Next time I’ll have to try dine in. The restaurant looked clean and inviting. They had an area for kids … Play table with couches for sitting while child plays. I will recommend this place for local Chinese/Vietnamese food!

We had dinner delivered by Local Eat and Drink from Kim Phung last night, and were very pleased with our order. We had crab rangoon, grilled pork spring rolls, beef phở, grilled pork and chicken egg roll bun, and pad thai. The crab rangoon was tasty, with a pretty good sweet & sour dipping sauce. The grilled pork spring rolls were really tasty, especially with the accompanying dipping sauce. My grilled pork and chicken egg roll bun was absolutely delicious. The marinade on the grilled pork really made the dish. My wife’s beef phở was also good, but I wished the broth had more nuanced flavors, as the couple of bites she let me have had a muddled taste. Overall, a really good experience with not only the delivery from Local Eat and Drink, but also Kim Phung.

Favorite place to get Phở. I’ve tried others but it can’t beat this place. Pad Thai and the vegetable egg rolls are also great. $ 6 phở for lunch M-F

I really like the $ 6 Phở lunch specials($ 7 if you want the larger portion) as they are tasty and affordable, but I cannot see giving them 5 stars for a first visit. I came in for a quick lunch and needed the Phở to help me feel better. I ordered the large #17 Steak and Brisket. Overall you get a large amount of noodles and meat, but the Phở did not strike me in the normal savory way that other places have done in the past. Additionally, it did not seem to be served truly hot. Maybe I prefer my Phở to be «piping hot» showing that it is cooking all its goodness in the bowl, but on this day it was just barely«hot» and cooled rather fast to a warm Phở. The take away is, they do have good Phở(nothing to 5 star about) and they provide a good menu with NOMSG in the products as well as organic choices. I would easily come back here if I am in the area, but without the savory flavors and hot temperature I was needing to pep me up and feel better; it may not be any time soon. Great and friendly staff. Lots of menu choices. Affordable lunch options. Come try it for yourself and let me know if this was just a «one off» day for them.

Needing something hot for lunch, decided to try out Kim Phung. The first thing I noticed was it was a lot bigger on the inside than it looked on the outside. The counter to order is on the right after walking in. I ordered the #33 Egg rolls and grilled pork on bun and some crab Rangoon. It came to about $ 14.00. I took a seat on one of the couches they have in front of a table loaded with toy train tracks. A little girl came over to ask me to help her find things so she could play with the trains. This made the wait time so short. Grabbed my food bag and headed home. The crab Rangoon were pretty good. Crispy and loaded with filling, with a side of sweet dipping sauce. On the bun, I was pleased with the taste of the egg rolls. Some sort of mushy meat filling. The grilled pork and bun with fish sauce, this was good. Even reheating it the next day didn’t dampen their flavors. Kim Phung serves Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai food. So almost all of your Asian cravings can be satisfied here.

We found this place completely by accident when our local Chinese restaurant was closed! I am SO impressed that they use NOMSG and organic! The server answered all our questions and they are making a special item for us that is not on the menu! Yay! So glad we found this place! We will be back!

I have one favorite which is know as #52, wide, flat rice noodles with lots of vegetables and the most tender meats, ever and so flavorful! It’s probably the priciest on the menu but so well worth it, I promise you that! How can I post a picture?

Chicken broth tastes like real chicken BUT at $ 8.50 a bowl the ingredients were underwhelming… a couple of quarter size slices of beef & crab cake, etc… Mediocre engredients at best… Unfortunately Cedar Park hasn’t caught up to Austin as far as Phở options. Kids play area a GREAT idea.

Cedar Park –we are so fortunate to have this new, clean and super friendly restaurant-with SUCH great food. I have been 4 – 5 times now. Great, every time! I don’t know her name — but there is a woman there who seems to be the manager? She is above and beyond helpful, smiling, and accommodating. The first time I went in — I went with my daughter who is a vegetarian, and I need to eat gluten free because of an allergy… This woman SAT with us and helped us pick out things on the menu. There were so many choices!

I finally tried the new Kim Phung location yesterday, and the food was wonderful! If you were a customer of the Lakeline location that is now closed, this is a different experience. The Bell Blvd location is much more like the original on Lamar, south of 183. You order at a counter, then your food is delivered to your table. I had shrimp phở and spring rolls, and got my toddler the pan-fried dumplings. It was all great. Parents of toddlers: they have a train table! In the front near the door are two sofas on either side of a very large train table with lots of track and cars and things to play with. My friend and I got the table closest to it and were able to let our kids play while we finished eating. We will definitely be back, often.

I’m a native New Yorker who grew up eating Chinese at least once a week. After moving to Texas in 2010 I took a few years off from Chinese when I couldn’t find anything resembling what I had grown up with. I found Kim Phung by accident through some work friends and was blow away by their quality and price. My wife and I used to go weekly to their Lakeline location and now that they are in Cedar Park have gone at least once a month. Best hot and sour soup on the planet. My parents ask for this place by name whenever they visit.

This review is specifically because of their Phở weekday special. Not only is the price awesome, but their phở broth is extremely good. I’ve had phở at many other places and this is some of the best and cheapest you’ll find around town. All & all, if you love phở then this place is a must-try.

I am still waivering on my first impression, we came for lunch on a weekend, spent $ 26 on Phở, Clay Pot and 1 beer, the waiter/cashier did not hear what my wife ordered, my food came in less than 5 minutes, it took another 5 – 10 minutes before they checked in on us to realize their mistake. Her food was ready in about 5 minutes, good save! Overall I do recommend checking this place out, service is a little different(no waiter), food not cheap but seemed to be high quality, her Phở was as good as any around, but my Clay Pot beef/shrimp was excellent, fresh ginger was pungent without overwhelming the food, I know what I will order next time, now that we know what to expect, we will be back. 3 stars for now

First time to visit this new location. Enjoyed the Lamar location and was excited to have one closer to home. The appetizer sampler was delicious, my favorite item was the dumplings but everything was very good. The four sauces complimented the four items perfectly. The vermicelli bowl with grilled pork was great. There was a large serving of pork. It had a flavor of Hoisin marinated meat that had been grilled beautifully. It was tender and delicious. The vegetables in the bowl were frrsh and abundant. The phở bowl with steak was very good. The broth was tasty and the thin pieces of steak were plentiful and tender. The veggies were also good. Very nice bowl of phở. The Kung pao chicken was also delicious. The sauce was not as heavy as some others that I’ve had, and the flavor was represented well. The iced tea was also very good, it had a good green tea flavor, but with a good flavor strength that green iced tea sometimes misses. The staff was gteat, very friendly and helpful. Will definately return.

Great food but the presentation and atmosphere were so so. They did check on us every once in a while so customer service was decent. If they do a few things it could be better as far as looks of the dinning room it still has the ambiance of the old Dairy Queen that Use to be here.

First off –I’ve been eating the #33 Grilled pork and eggroll vermicelli for a decade and it is just as wonderful as always. We arrived about 4:30pm so things were relatively quiet. Our order was: Hot and sour soup Kim Phung appetizer platter Grilled Pork and Eggroll vermicelli Salt and Pepper Squid 2 beers — yes, they now have a beer license! Hot and Sour soup — sweeter and less sour than expected. I found it ok, my wife wouldn’t order again. Kim Phung appetizer platter = good value and delicious: 2 spring rolls. 2 eggrolls. 3 fried dumplings, 3 crab rangoons with 4 sauces to match. We thought every item was superior to the average. The eggrolls were not 98% veggies but predominantly meaty and had a rice wrapper that was thin and crispy goodness. The sauces were well matched with the platter items. #33 Grilled pork and eggroll vermicelli = excellent. The eggrolls were the same type as featured on the appetizer platter. The grilled pork was relatively lean and well seared with a tasty marinade. Salt and Pepper Squid = surprisingly good. When the wife ordered it I was internally going«meh» but once again she proved I was all wrong. The well seasoned pieces were not rings but strips and triangular sections battered lightly and perfectly fried on a bed of shredded lettuce. There was no chewiness, just tender squid. I’m likely to try that as my own entrée in the future. Service was good. Even though you now order/pay at the counter(they bring the food out) it makes the exiting at your own pace. They had self-serve to-go boxes, etc. Kim Phung has a big menu and if the quality stays the same we’ll be eating there for a long time.

This location just opened yesterday. Expecting a similar ambiance to the old Lakeline location, I was very disappointed. At this location you go order at the counter then sit at the table of your choice. The feel is much more sterile and less cozy than the old location. With that said, the food is still superb. The egg rolls were fresh and crispy. The pork was very tender and flavorful. I will miss the friendly wait staff, but the food is still awesome.
