Granite 4 Less

Granite 4 Less took a $ 9000 deposit from us for work to be done in December 2012 and when I asked him for the deposit back he said it would be returned in 30 days. Thirty days later I appeared at his home, 300 Aspen Cove and he said he had spent it and could not return the money until he got another job. Another month has passed, he has rented his home out and vanished.
He has another company, Affordable Home Solutions, that shares a mail box address in the Randalls shopping center addressed above.
Beware of doing business with him.

Go somewhere else as fast as you can. Building a house and I needed to have 2 marble tiles edges beveled for a shower seat. The other business Austin Stone Works that I had gone to previously beveled 6 tiles for me but their machine was broken and they did not know how quickly they could get it fixed. I had to get these done asap so I took a chance with Granite 4 Less.. They were not accommodating to my situation. They charged me $ 50 to bevel 2 tiles!!! A case of being taken, but I was over a barrel. Just a couple of weeks earlier I had 6 tiles beveled at Austin Stone Works for $ 48, who were by far better. Also the lady receptionist at Granite 4 Less told me that the tiles would be ready that next morning and it was the next day afternoon as I had to wait at the office till they arrived from there fab shop. It will be a cold day in hell before I would go back to this place. Austin Stone Works if by far a better business to deal with. This place should be called Granite 4 less in your pocket

RECKLESS AND MESSY WORKERS!!!
Work performed for us was poorly done. Workers had no previous communication of what was to be done. They showed for work and had no clue what sink they had to cut for. Company had been made aware of this weeks before. Workers showed up with 12 and 14 year olds. Their work was messy and they had no consideration for our home. Cuts were made inside home when they were specifically told not to cut anything inside. Dust is now all over our home and cleanup by them was little to none. After the work was completed, I uncovered mistakes that are really obvious. The 90 degree angles are not close at all. There are gaps on the back side of the counters and looks pretty bad. Don’t call these people, you will regret it just like I have. Would not recommend or use again, EVER!!!

I got an estimate from this company when I was thinking about putting in granite countertops. I didn’t go with them, went with Austin Granite Direct (
) instead, because I wasn’t at all impressed by the guy that came over to do the estimate… he was polite enough, but basically just measured stuff, gave me a brochure, and left… didn’t try to ascertain how much I understood of the process, tell me about their work, etc. Now, I don’t like pushy sales people when I’m just getting an estimate, but I expect some useful information without my having to pry.
They did send the estimate via email promptly, and it was reasonable (pretty much the same as Austin Granite Direct, actually), but there was no followup — I got a call from them I think more than a month after I’d had the job done by AGD asking me what I thought of the estimate. Again, I don’t want pushy salespeople, but this just seemed rather lackadaisical… I just got the impression they weren’t really interested in my business.
Note that this is all pre-​sales, and I didn’t actually have them do the work… for all I know they do awesome work, but the lack of enthusiasm in my contact with them made me leery of having them do the job.
