mmmmkay. I am not a fan of gnc in general, but there are no vitaminshoppes near me, so I don’t have much choice. This gnc in particular — in 1890 Ranch seems to be the best one around(note that there is another GNC store on North Bell that is horrible and the staff can’t even do simple math). In general, I have found that most of the people that work at GNC are uninformed about nutrition and supplements, which is surpising since it is the primary focus of the business. I do a lot of reading on fitness and supplements, and I can tell when the staff is blowing smoke up my ass with made up answers. The guy we spoke with today was well informed and helpful — so this will be the primary GNC for my future purchases. ~*~ Here is a tip — from me to you — Don’t bother throwing your money away on their Gold Club membership. They charge for their discounts, and the card is only good for the first 7 days of the month. If you’re like me, you run out of things at different times and I like my «discount» to work all month long. GNC will match VitaminShoppe’s prices, so bring your iphone with you to show them the price. VS’s prices are almost always lower than GNC(and vitamin shoppe will match GNC any time GNC prices are lower). armed with this information, you can shop at either business and get a decent deal. Example — today GNC had atrophex on «sale» for $ 66.99. VS had it for $ 35.99 on sale, so I had GNC match the price. It saved me the gas to drive out to RR or Arboretum.
