Not sure how to word my review. I’ve been here a few times and the clothes selection is rather small… but it also tends to lean towards certain types of clothes and often has multiples of one thing which makes me think they are closeouts? At any rate I think based on a lot of the items I am not their target… demographic? Don’t think I will be going back. Just not a lot of selection for a person of my gender, age and ethnic background. The clerks are always nice to me which is why they got two stars.

This store is probably my least favorite place in Cedar Hill, and it’s not because of the inventory. It pains me to say this and suggest that some people shouldn’t support the store, because the money goes to help others, but I’ve had few positive experiences during my visits. On one hand, it’s okay place to shop, because they have a good deal on unmentionables and socks, and you can occasionally find something really special, but on the other hand, some of the women who work/volunteer here are flat out mean and/or racist. I’ve been followed multiple times, usually by the same silly woman. I’ve never seen her follow anyone who wasn’t black or Latino. What’s crazy about it is that I was a regular, and a relative used to volunteer a few days out of the week. I wanted to confront her on several occasions, because seriously, how is that okay? It’s not like they’re Tiffany & Co. and have expensive items to protect. It’s a thrift store that helps others get back on their feet. I never said anything on account of the woman actually knowing me from coming in with said relative, and I didn’t want to make things awkward by raising hay, but I really, really wanted to say SOMETHING to let her know her nonsense wasn’t appreciated. I even called the City to let them know(City of Cedar Hill owns the store), but I sincerely doubt that they took action. I no longer live in Cedar Hill, but when I come back for a visit, I will NOT visit this store. If you visit the store, don’t be surprised if this woman runs up on you and pretends to adjust shoes or clothes on racks when you notice her following you.
