Quick to come estimate; able to immediately quote a price… will write it down if you want but they have never billed me for more than the verbal quote. They know their stuff, they work promptly, they clean up. You have questions, they have answers. Simple, honest, hardworking with the results you want… typically at prices below the others… sometimes MUCH lower. I have used 2 or 3 different plumbers before I found DeVito… now its just one call for me.

I’ve lived in the area for 17 years. There’s lots of plumbers in the area. I’ve used most of the ones you hear about all the time, and had good and bad experiences with each of them. I first was recommended to De Vito by a contractor friend when I had a real emergency. Backed up sewer into the basement and three inches of foul smelling water. In that kind of situation, you’re happy to get someone to show up. And, it’s a recipe for any plumber to take advantage of you, because you’re at their mercy. De Vito’s guys did only what was necessary and nothing to jack up the bill. I’ve called them ever since. Their guys show up on time. They’re clean and respectful of my home – the floors and walls, etc. They do the work quickly and at the price they quoted. When they leave, it’s done right and my space is clean. I’d recommend them to anyone.

I called DeVito for some emergency plumbing work. We had never used them before so I called two plumbers. The person that took the call at DeVito was not particularly professional(taking another call while I was on the line and raising his voice at that person twice to say he was on a business call and had to go … all of which I heard). I ended up going with the secondary plumber, but didn’t call to cancel DeVito for 2 hours(still 3 hours from the time they were supposed to arrive). When I called to cancel, the person answering the phone was understandably upset because he told me that he had to move around guys to make time for this call in the afternoon. I apologized and he proceeded to berate me over the phone yelling, «It is people like you that make me lose money,» and continuing on to vent his frustration while yelling. I was silent and eventually hung up. While I now understand that my cancelation may have inconvenienced this business, it is unacceptable to berate a potential customer over the phone. If this is the way they treat their customers, mistake or not, I would not recommend them doing service in anyone’s home.
