Been here many times and always like the place. The waitresses are nice, service fast. I asked why there were signs saying we can’t use our phone(the signs are everywhere) and was told many over abuse the phones while eating disturbing others. Amen! I couldn’t agree more– simply going in social media or reading the news is fine. Do think there’s a few to many signs tho. Always ordered simple breakfast fare, which was prepared well. Do wanna try the salmi and cheese omelet next time.

I had read about this place years ago, but never really had a reason to go. My dear friend wanted to take me to breakfast and he suggested this place. i jumped at the chance to try something new. I’m glad we did. The Marilyn décor is pervasive, including the bathroom. Some of it I really like. Some of it was a little much. The busboys at this place are in constant motion. I haven’t guys work this hard, in a long time. The waitresses I’ve gotten have all been good and make great suggestions. The chili cheese omelet is just delicious. I need to remember to tell them to not put cheese on it. Eggs are not overdone. The chili has a good flavor. I like that it has beans in it. I get the tater tots, on the side. Crisp and tasty. Very mid-western. Good iced tea. You can pay at the table, but you’ll wait. Just take your check up to the front. It has been pretty busy, the times I’ve gone, but people leave pretty quickly.

I’m a big fan of diners/cafes but didn’t care too much for this one. First of all, how are you not going to allow cellphone usage?!? honesty that posted sign kind of offends me. It’s 2016, if you’re establishment does a goo job, then you would want people to use their phones and check in on social media, like Unilocal, and get the word out there. Plus if I can’t be on my phone, that may force me to actually have a conversation with a real person. Heaven forbid I’m forced to do that. I was also offended by my order. In their defense, it’s hard to make an amazing veggie omelet and make it amazing but it’s been done. I came on Meatless Monday, and was disappointed by how flavorless my dish was, I ordered some yummy tasting salsa to give my dish some life but it didn’t really help. Service was great and it should be noted that my mom enjoyed her bagel and lox plate. But overall, I found this place too pricy and don’t really see myself returning here in the near future.

The Staff is fantastic, and I love the eggs benedict. Very affordable. I’ve been eating here since 2004 and love it.

I’ve been coming here since I was very young, usually the service is excellent and your food is out within 10 minutes. This last visit I was very disappointed, not only did we never get drink refills our entire visit there-but tables that sat down after us received their food minutes before we received ours(we were a table of four and a table of eight was finishing their food when we finally got ours– we ordered first). Our orders were all wrong and the server didn’t bother to apologize but huffily took back our food. I always have positive things to say about this diner that I hold dear to my heart but this was truly disappointing. Only plus side is once our food was made correctly it was delicious as usual.

The worst customer service I have every recieved came from this place. I will never give my business nor tell anyone about this place. Donna was rude to my family and myself which was not appreciated. She needs to be fired. Good food terrible service. Im a guy with a huge customer service background… and this is not the right way to be treated.

This was our first time eating at Michael’s. We’ve been coming to Palm Springs for the past 30 years. What a pleasant surprise. We were greated, seated and our waitress was outstanding. Our breakfast was delicious, and the price was great. This is our new go-to breakfast place.

First visit there and overall it was an average experience. We went for Sunday lunch. It was definitely a mistake to miss out on the inside ambience of the Marilyn Monroe memorabilia in favor of the outdoor seating with the picturesque view of the Parking Lot and Palm Canyon drive. And without any operating fans, the flies were more plentiful than usual. Service was friendly but a bit on the slow side(only one person working the outdoor area along with many indoor tables I imagine so I blame more the management on that one). The busboy also couldn’t keep up with our water demands so my partner kept on stealing my water when my head was turned. As for the food, I opted for lunch. The teriyaki burger with seasoned fries was advertised as wonderful and popular, which factored into my decision to try something a bit unique instead of something I could make myself and unfortunately, I found it to be semi-tasty but way to soggy and difficult to eat. Adding the swiss cheese and mushrooms just added to the mess. The seasoned fries were above average so a star is dedicated just for them. The salad portions(which someone else ordered) are good and plentiful so consider that option if you like to have an extra meal for another time but order your dressing on the side. I’d try the breakfast next time as it seemed to have some nice options, but I will only come back on someone else’s suggestion.

This review is for the last two visits. Previously, I went for breakfast and was treated to rare basted eggs. I sent them back for more work, but the experience was pretty mediocre. The next(and last) visit started and ended with the busboy pouring coffee and waiting for a server. None stopped at my table although I sat for 10 minutes and no one was curious what I was doing there! Finally, I got up and went to pay for the coffee. The counterman comped the coffee, but never inquired whether I enjoyed my breakfast or anything about my experience. Obviously, management isn’t involved anymore and the decline of a once great diner has begun. I hope management reads this because I wish them well, but I will go on to other places that value their customers more.

This is a very good place to get a quick and affordable breakfast. The food was tasty and there is something for everyone. I’d much rather get breakfast here than a fast food place of IHOP-type place. The only reason my rating is mediocre is because the restaurant was nothing special, and our experience that day was slightly undesirable. Our greeter took our drink order and when we asked if they had cream for the coffee, he pointed and the individual creamer packs on the table and replied sarcastically, «that is cream». I know it was a misunderstanding, but he didn’t have to be rude like that. Our server was nice and very friendly and helpful. She didn’t rush us to order and checked back with our table just enough without being too often. She did mix up our plates when she brought our order, but that’s understandable. Overall, I would come back here if I’m in the area for breakfast again

Third time coming here and it was time to right a review. 5 stars for price, food, and service. For a small little breakfast and lunch dinner this place does a great job. Hash is good and pancakes are perfect. Plenty of parking and room for groups of 6 to 12 hungry golfers and business breakfast or lunch meetings.

Wanted to give this place a try after hearing good things about it from a friend. It turns out they are closed for the Summer. This is the first time I have ever seen a restaurant closed for a season. I will update based on the food once I actually get to try it.

Living here in Palm Springs I have recently been afflicted with a little known, local disorder called MMOD. Marilyn Monroe Overload Disorder. It is real. It’s not a joke. Okay, it is, but seriously, this place takes the Mr. President birthday cake. Marilyn is everywhere. Walls, plates, tables, old movies on an endless grainy loop… I mean everywhere! Love it or… So, the breakfast was pretty good. Chicken fried steak and eggs. Cooked well. Friendly service too! Not a fan of Tarragon in my country gravy, but that and the Marilyn overload are no reason to stay away! Give«Marily., I mean, «Michael’s» a try.

This place has been here how many years? I’ve never seen or heard of it until this morning, we went as guests of a friend. In a strip mall, plenty of parking and walked into a cool diner with tons of Marilyn Monroe stuff. Great servers and good coffee. I had the Chili/Cheese Omelette, was excellent. Wifey had the Biscuits and Gravy, best I’ve had here in the Desert. Now that we know about Michaels, we plan on being regulars.

This is a very good«diner» type café. Great breakfast and very good sandwiches. I got the roast beef with white bread and potatoes and gravy. It was like take a trip back to my past in the midwest. My wife calls it the«brown plate.» Nothing green or healthy in sight… but so good that it is worth it. Just not something you want to eat every day and live long. My wife had a egg white omelet and will it didn’t look good to me… she liked it. My mother-in-law eats here all the time and she loves their biscuits and gravy.

Wanted to try a new spot for breakfast so we decided to try Michael’s. It’s located in a small strip mall in Cat City. Plenty of parking and there is seating both inside and out. I ordered their 2 egg breakfast w/bacon, fruit & ordered a side of biscuits & gravy. It was good, especially the bacon but not outstanding. Biscuits & gravy was a little disappointing… Also got their ham & cheese omelette which was average. The service here is good, portions are plentiful and everyone is super friendly!

Another joint that is successful in spite of itself. Location, location, location. Been there a few times. Nothing special. Quick in and out. BUTTODAY was nuts! Had a reuben sandwish and the pastrami was black, BLACK around the edges and was advised they had changed vendors because the prior vendor had complaints about it being too fatty. Don’t they know what they order? Moving on… my guest had biscuits and gravy and emphasized that the bacon should be extra crisp. Not to be had. Sent back and the next go around was fine. I could only stand eating half the sandwich and the busboy took the plate over to «Michael.’(I assume to point out why it wasn’t eaten.) Check in hand I walked over and before I could say anything Michael spouts off with«everytime you’re here you complain!»(Where did that come from. I told him i’ve never complained.) He then volunteered, «.and there was nothing wrong with the bacon.» He served plenty of rudeness and must have had a bad day at the ATM. Seriously folks, I’ve dined all over the world over the years and have never been treated in such an inexcusable way. This wayward owner wont be seeing our money again. MM would be turning over in her grave.

I enjoyed this place. Quick and easy place for breakfast or lunch. They are open 7−2pm. I had the meatloaf and it was very comforting it came with a side of sour cabbage soup. It was delicious and I liked the boiled meat in there. One breakfast, I had the steak and eggs. Pretty big breakfast steak. Home fries were ok.
