My new favorite ethnic foods place in the CC area. Half supermarket and half restaurant, with Middle Eastern goods. Family owned and run, and they are most pleasant. I tried the Beef Shawarma sandwich and it was delicious. I will order a bigger plate next time. A few tables inside plus a couple more outside. Don’t forget to check-in on Unilocal

The beef kabob plate is about the best thing you can eat. ever. And I prefer veggies over meat, because I’m picky about the quality of the meat or the way it is prepared. The meat on the plate is very tender and has great flavor. The tomato and pepper are freshly grilled(show me one restaurant that does that!!). The way the hummus meets the drop of olive oil is amazing… oh and not the mention the small fresh salad tossed with olive oil… I’m in love!

Awesome, awesome place and ran by a sweet family. It’s nice to have this type of food and culture here in the desert. Amazing customer service and to die for food! Also, they have a market which is nice if you need main necessities and can’t make a trip to LA to the market!

A great find! I had my dog at the vet next door and was a tad early to pick him up. Saw the sign for Aladdin thinking it a market only, but a delicious smell overtook me when I stepped in. Since it was lunch time I got my husband and we decided to have lunch at Aladdin. I had the chicken shawarma and husband had the gyro. Both were absolutely delicious. The meat was fresh and juicy, not sitting under heat for hours. There was an anbundance of sauce, no skimping on anything. the pita stood out as well, more often then not I get stale pita, but not at Aladdin. Pita was fresh and tasty. Don’t expect a fancy place, this is a kitchen inside a store, however low prices are in accordance with the lack of fancyness.

Good prices and good food. This place is a half grocery market and half sit in eatery. It’s fun to shop around for sweets while waiting for your food.

I can’t stop thinking about the beef kabob I had there yesterday — it was perfect. I’ve been a neighborhood customer for over 2 ½ years now and have never been disappointed in the deli food or the market items, which I find to be very low priced in comparison to similar items in my area’s grocery stores. This place is set back enough from the road that it’s a nice, quiet meal, whether eating inside or at the outside tables.

We are here a couple of years ago and had a great meal and service. We made a special trip to return to this restaurant. Hours are posted until 8pm. We drove 20 minutes to get here and arrive at 7:43pm. There is a bright neon sign in the window that says ‘Open’. As soon as we walked in the door we got stares from the girl in the kitchen, the boy at the register and the three kids sitting at one table who were likely friends or relatives of the restaurant. It seems that there were only kids running the restaurant and market. We are then told ‘take out only’. We are visiting the area and don’t have anywhere to eat if we take out. If the restaurant doesn’t want to serve customers until 8pm, then close earlier. Horrible experience. We will not return.

This location is right next to my new gym. Since there aren’t many options for Mediterranean nor Middle Eastern cuisine in the Coachella Valley, I’m going to have to try each location, so I can piece together my faves. The location is small. There is a market in the back with Middle Eastern products. I wanted to buy them all. There is a refrigerated case, too. I went in to try the hot food. I ordered a seekh(sp?) kabob plate. I wanted a side of grape leaves, but I was told that they had run out. I almost cried. I was very much looking forward to some tangy grape leaves. I’ll have to go in again. I ended up asking for an order of falafel, instead. I took my food to go. The kabob had a good flavor, almost overcooked.(I don’t mind that!) The hummus was damn good. I was given a choice of pickled vegetables or salad. I feel, in retrospect, that I should have gotten the salad. The pickled vegetables were a good complement to the potential heaviness of the meat, but pickled cucumber slices kinda threw me off. The falafel were the green variety. Cooked perfectly, good seasoning. I didn’t even try the tahini that came with them. They didn’t need it. When I go back, if they have grape leaves, I’ll increase my review by a star. Update: The had grape leaves. They were mighty tasty.

It is simply a kitchen inside a market. The food is delicious. I feel like the portions could’ve been a bit bigger(the meat portions were quite small) for what we paid. I eat a lot in mediterranean places(low to mid price range), and I generally get more meat for the same price range.

We have been coming to this place for over a year. Best find, food is terrific and we are from NY so we know middle eastern food and we have been in the Middle East. This is the most authentic food and the prices are reasonable. The family is very nice. A rare find for the desert. RK

If I’m ever in the desert looking for great kabob or shawarma this hidden gem is located in a shopping market just off of Ramon and Landau! It is a family ran restaurant and they always remember my face when I walk in, makes me feel like I’m visiting the old country without having to travel across the world.

I’ve been coming here for years. The food is always consistent and leaves you craving more. It’s a small market and deli so the eating area is casual, but the food is awesome. Enjoy!!!
