Dziuk Meat Market

This is a mecca for smoked meats. I’ve never seen jerky in such quantities before. Lots of other meats too. It was obvious this is a destination stop for locals. We just happened upon it, but it was a worthwhile visit.

Jalapeño sausage was good, as was the pepper jack cheese. Chorizo was moderate, very mild. Good atmosphere and great service. Prices were as expected for the location and type of venue. Spent $ 20 and were not disappointed.

Best meat market in South Texas! Just watch out for their pricing. Was there today and was told price was 4.99 a pound. Ended up paying 6.99 a pound. My fault for not catching it. Also overheard that a deer hunter wanted to donate all his deer meat to the woman’s shelter. Reply was «never heard of it». With 99 percent women employed, bad answer!

This place is great. Want a the pound pork loin? Just ask and it all be cut. You can get ribeyes cut to the thickness you desire.
Great dried sausages, beef and pork, quail and pork, and sometimes Bison.
You can get different types of birds such as quail, stuffed quail.
A variety of cheeses.
But of all, the best thing you can get is Alsacetion sausage. It is the best I’ve ever had. This alone makes the trip to Dziuks worth it.

If you’re driving through Castorville and happen to enjoy delicious foods, stop here. My friend and I were on our way back from a dove hunt trip and were told to stop by Dziuk’s on the way home. We weren’t too sure what to expect but whatever our expectations were, they were blown out of the water.
Essentially Dziuk Meat Market is exactly that, a meat market, but what a meat market it is! We got some of the best jerky I’ve ever had as well as some superb air dried sausage. They sell a wide assortment of pickled vegetables as well. I picked up a jar of pickled spicy beats as a gift for my wife once I got home. That jar was empty twenty minutes after opening.
I highly recommend stopping in if you’re passing through. I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll like and I’m sure you’ll make a point to be back once initiated.

its a must to stop and check it out if you are driving through castroville. the smell that hits you when you first walk in is amazing and needs to be made into a candle and or car fresheners, The three or four best things they have are in no particular order, unless according to your budget as they can get a little pricey. Their beef and turkey jerkey, the Alsatian sausage, and the specialty Parisa, which is like a hamburger tartare with jalapenos and American cheese and is really amazing on crackers. Definitely check it out

Great place to get fresh meat! Staff is knowledgeable & are quick to assist with any questions. They even have shirts and hats for sale there… it’s a carnivore’s paradise :)

Ribeyes… husband and I learned a long time ago that we are much happier with the food and price from our own kitchen instead of spending tons of money eating out. So for ¹⁄₃ the price, just about every Saturday we pick us up a couple of fresh cut 1 inch thick ribeyes from Dzuicks. No other place will do… We have tried Lowes, HEB, WAllyWorld… yes you can tell the difference in a great cut of meat! Only thing that would put it over the top for us would be if they had fresh gulf shrimp too!

If you like meat — you will LOVE this place. My husband was salivating from his first step in the door. We got some jerkey and even I will admit it was good. We also got a sample of the Parisa (raw meat dip). Okay — the thought of raw meat dip turned my stomach but I am a trooper and will try anything (once). Surprisingly — it was good. I suggest you give it a try if you make it to this meat heaven.

When ever I leave Castroville it’s best I have some Jerky and dried sausage from Dzuik for my friends who can’t make it out here!

Lots of meat choices I thought the prices were way too high

There is something special about a small town place with great food. I bring my deer here to get processed, but I spend more time in the market getting meat sticks and steak. I have a rambunctious 2 year old who loves to run around the island right in the middle of the store. As opposed to dirty looks that you may get down the road, people always smile and are very kind to my handful of 2 year olds energy. She helps me pick out our meat sticks, which my other kids are always enjoying, making the trip a weekly event. There is something to say about small towns and the people who live and work in them. It makes it that much easier when the product they sell is as amazing as what they have at Dziuks.

Meat sticks are awesome, sausage is awesome, beef jerky is awesome. Next time I go there I am getting the Parisa dip made with raw meat and I will share it with my cat.

I was visiting a friend in Lylte Tx this week and they took us to Castroville to Dzuiks Smoke house and let me tell you, this place is unbelieveable the smoke smell that hit you in your face when you open the doors are heavenly. So clean and the presentation of their products make you want to buy everything. The beef and pork sausage had me and my dogs fighting for every bite so delicious. The fresh meats side you just have to see it for yourself. I just order some more of the sausage because i don’t want to run out. I bought other items and the prices are great for a working stiff like me. love this place

Every time I visit my father in Hondo we make a trip over to Castroville for a jerky and sausage run. A great selection of of meats. Sausage either regular or jalapeño cheese for the grill are tough to beat. Try the beef chunk jerky sliced, even the turkey version are mouth watering with great flavors. Cheaper than other famous places you can buy jerky along they interstates and highways. We buy a couple pounds to last us a couple weeks, sample and share they will make more!

I was exploting the rd from San Antonio to Uvalde when I found this jewel. They had so much fresh meat and jerky to choose from it was difficult to make a decision. They also let me sample a few things until I made my decision. Staff was nice. They seem to have some construction going on now so beware. Otherwise… check it out!

Dzuik’s has plenty of meats and cuts of meats to choose from and all at decent prices. The employees are quick at getting your order together so be ready to go when it’s your turn. Appropriately they have spices and seasonings to purchase as compliments and flavor enhances for the meats you buy. In addition, the last time I was here they were in the middle of adding a deer processing area.

This is definitely Castroville’s hidden gem for great jerky, exquisite sausage and a large variety of meats.

I sent a lot of susage & jerky to my son from their when he was in Quatar. They would seal it for me & it stayed good tho shipping.
Worth the trip to this place.

Can’t go through Castroville without making a stop at Dziuk’s. Can’t go to Dziuk’s without stocking up on all their delicious dried meats, jerky, and cheese. Can’t forget to get extras for the in-​laws, you’ll get a scolding for it.
Dziuk’s is a carnivores dreams come true. Filled with tasty strip jerky, salami, dry sausage, beef snack strips, Alsatian sausage, and fresh meat cuts. This small family owned store has been standing for almost 40 years. They have to be doing something right? Right indeed! This place no matter what time we come by is always packed. Smells amazingly delicious and always stocked with tasty goodies. Fast helpful service is what is needed and received to keep customers happy and coming back.
If you ever near Castroville or want to take a mini road trip for some tasty carnivore delights Dziuk’s is defiantly your place!
