Hash brown game strong with this one. Great mix of Mexican/American bfast. Mostly known for their bfast I love hitting this place just make sure to avoid Sunday rush they get slammed! I’ve done a couple skillets and the bfast quesadilla. By far the best on the menu is the Albuquerque omelette.

Had a beautiful Mothers Day brunch there yesterday. It was a 40 min wait, but that was perfectly ok seeing as we had no reservation and were walking in at peak serving time on a holiday. Clearly a very popular place with the locals! We were seated exactly within the time frame they specified, and our food and drinks came very quickly. The server was super nice and everything was yummy. Would go back again! Also, they had carnations for the moms on the way out– nice touch.

The atmosphere here goes for a southwestern feel using light browns and yellows. There is a nice open feeling to the place. I ordered a bowl of the Roasted Corn Chowder($ 4) and the Green Chile Hamburger with fries($ 10). The Corn Chowder was excellent. I could have just had 2 bowls of that for dinner. One of the best corn chowders I’ve had. The Hamburger was good, nothing special but above average for sure. The bun could have been better. It starts falling apart about halfway thru the burger. The green chile was a new taste for me. It wasn’t too strong but the burger needed something more so I added bbq sauce. The bbq sauce was good, but they charged me 50¢ for it, that’s lame. The fries were ok, average. The service was friendly and got everything right. Overall I give this place 4 stars. I might have gone 3 ½ and rounded up, but the corn chowder alone means I can’t give it less than 4. Will I be back? Yes, that chowder will be calling my name.

Service was not very impressive. Waitress did not seem very interested in discussing anything with us. The food was okay but did not stand out. My water was refilled only once and my friend was not offered any additional beverages after her drink was gone.

Was in the area, and stopped for lunch on a Friday toward the end of the typical lunch hour. The food was excellent and the service was good. The menu choices were varied-I had the Cherry Chicken wrap, and it was excellent. I am not usually a fan of wraps, but the server recommended it, and she was spot on in her recommendation. Overall, a great stop for lunch.

PROs: Good Service, Wide Selection on Menu, Food Looks Good, Cinnamon Roll Smell. CONs: Food Tasted Bland Visited Monday at noon to have a late breakfast. Breakfast is served all day here! When I walked in, I could smell either the cinnamon rolls or a cake being made. Next time I come here, I’ll try the cinnamon roll! I wanted to eat a breakfast burrito, but all of their burritos contained meat and the sauce also had meat mixed in. So, as a vegetarian, I ordered the breakfast quesadilla with spinach replacing the meat. Overall the consistency was a little too mushy, and the flavor was a bit bland. I was looking forward to the burrito because it had hash browns inside of it, but the sauce that probably gives it a ton of flavor, included meat.

Always hit this place up after a night in Grand Rapids. Love the breakfast and of course the cinnamon roll! It’s the size of your head

Needed to get breakfast after dropping someone off at the airport. I had the Spinach and Mushroom egg tacos. They were very good. I would recommend sauces on the side. They were very wet. We would come back.

Yea this place was good! Didn’t look like much from the outside and it’s in a random area but the food is top notch! Really a step above the basic breakfast I was expecting. I’d be back in a heart beat.

Sundance Grill reminds me, remarkably, a lot of Big Boy. Yes, the restaurant everyone knows all across the country(and if they don’t, they’re missing out). Only, there are two little twists to this Big Boy… the biggest twist; they serve alcohol. The other twist is they’re kinda southwest themed. Breakfast and lunch seem to be the biggest draws here. They offer a variety of skillets(usually some combination of a protein, potatoes, cheese and varying veggies depending on what skillet you get), omelettes, and a few of the standards(eggs and bacon with toast). Lunch/dinner options are an array of sandwiches and burritos and other items that require the use of a tortilla. They do have some nice twists on some menu items, but nothing particularly unique that would cause me to go back just to get this one thing that I can only get at Sundance. The décor is definitely an upgrade from the Big Boy scene though… it’s a bit classy and kinda dark. Carpeted floors(except for in the small bar area) and booths for the majority of seating options. During the warmer months they do offer outside seating also which is super dope. Service is pretty average. I’ve never been«wowed» with a visit here, but I’ve never left grumbling under my breath and refused to tip my server either. Breakfast is usually what I find myself here for, but rarely because this place consistently has a wait on the weekends to be seated even for small parties. Given the other options in the area for a so-so breakfast, I’d rather go somewhere else most of the time just so I don’t have to wait for my table. But, once every 3 months or so, Sundance seems like it’s worth the hassle… and after leaving, I’m never sure why I thought that. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad, it’s just that for the average-ness of everything, I think I’d be better off somewhere I didn’t have to wait for a table. Prices are typical, you’re looking around $ 8-$ 11 a person here which is fair. Sundance, you’re okay. But you’re nothing special in my book either.

Great cinnamon roll but don’t get the corned beef hash since it is tasteless. Have had much better elsewhere

I will start with the good. The staff was happy and polite(wonderful actually) and it was clean. Beyond that I ordered the«Arizona egg rolls» which tasted like something that has been rolling around on a 7 – 11 warming rack for 3 weeks. The ranch it came with was tasty but the egg rolls were rough. Next came the steak burrito. I was debating between the fajitas and the burrito so asked for the onions and peppers to be put in the burrito mashing the two together. They were kind enough to do so but the burrito was covered in a cheesy paste then also filled with some sort of goo. The overall texture was unappetizing. I have no plans to be here again.

I always enjoy brunch here. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, but the bacamole omelet is without a doubt my favorite. Or maybe the breakfast nachos are my fave. Or maybe…

The dinner menu food(mahi tacos, frozen burger, steak quesadilla) was not good and the service was slow, but apparently the breakfast is good — i would try it only bc everyone who said they loved Sundance had only ever had their breakfast

Southwestern style cuisine at this local eatery. I tried the grilled Mahi tacos. The best part of the dish was the black bean side. My order of guacamole was too small to dress the three tacos. In the future, I would stick to either their breakfast offerings which were served at lunch or one of their salads.

We have been going to the downtown location and this location for years(10 plus). I have to admit, that we are creatures of habit and have rarely strayed from the breakfast quesadilla, tacos, huevos rancheros, bacomole or wet buritto. All of these items are good and are large portions. This is also a really great meeting spot if you have to drop someone off at the airport before their flight. The only bad thing is they don’t take reservations and the service is on the slow side. I’ve come here a couple times before flights and breakfast has taken at least 30 minutes, even when they weren’t busy. I’m not sure if it’s the things I am ordering, or if I should just expect a wait like that each time.

Went for breakfast here on a recent Saturday morning and had a good meal. Everyone in the group enjoyed what we had and everything from the basic-hash browns, omelets, pancakes, to my wife’s bacamole omelet was very good. Fresh squeezed o.j. and a laid back, yet attentive staff made it exactly what we were looking for on Day 2 of a beer drinking weekend.

Not the most exciting meal I’ve had, but my lunch here was decent. My mom loved her crab scramble, my sister gobbled up her guacamole omelette. I ordered a skillet, and was disappointed by its blandness. How can something with bacon and cheese be so boring?
