Love this place! Been going for two years and very happy with the service. I see Matthew who is amazing. Decently easy to schedule and great staff! I get cut, color, highlights here. Their products they sell as well are really great and they don’t high pressure you to buy them.

I like to do things to my hair that damages it pretty bad, I’ve bleached out my hair at least ten times and straighten it daily. My hair is about 8 inches long. Most places try their hardest to cut all my damaged hair off, and just as many cut it off whether I want them to or not. J & f was no different. I asked for one inch, and got five off. That is the only reason I give this place 3⁄5. The cut was fantastic. The layers and bangs were exactly how I asked. Trying in vain to grow my hair back out, it’s been a year and a half since this cut and the layers STILL look absolutely perfect.

I have been a long time customer but they don’t know how to treat their long time customers at all. The stylist aren’t the problem but the management and operations team is weak. The main reason why one would go to upscale salon is for saving time and being treated nicely and going to the exact same stylist person every time unlike a transnational business one would do at super cuts with whoever is available. In my 5 years as a customer, first incident, They tried to push me to another stylist because they double booked without telling me. I walked away. Next time, the stylist was absent on my appointment day and they didn’t inform me and didn’t even offer to make up by offering free cut. On another occasion, they had double booked my stylist so he was busy and I had to wait 40 minutes! On yet another occasion, I called them to reschedule my appointment due to emergency, they told me to pay a cancellation fee or pay a deposit towards next time appointment. I understand they want to avoid cancellations, but if they want to respect their time slots, then they need to respect the appointments and proactively inform, avoid being late. More importantly, I wasn’t informed or warned by them that they will start enforcing their cancellation fees. I told this to the manager but she wasn’t interested in _listening_. Then the manager said, I will henceforth need to pay a deposit. I tried to tell her the other person didn’t say that. She wouldn’t listen. this is not a way to treat long term customer. My rule is Happy customer tell one or two about their experiences, dissatisfied tell ten. This management just doesn’t get it.

They worked me in for color and cut the next day and my girl the day after that. The girl messed my color up and couldn’t do highlights, she even said so! wow, that fiasco cost them a star.
