Where to even start?! Incredible selection of food that will truly satisfy everyone’s hankering from that picky preteen to that non dairy compliment Mama. The service was spot on… they even gave me a kit kat bar? Incredible! Wonderful beer, wonderful wine, this is truly the only place to dine. My red chili pesto sandwich was a perfect portion and the sizzling spice was spot on. Perfect casual spot with innovation options. Taste it to believe it

Great place to eat, food is really great! You get really great friendly service and a very clean environment! I stay in Cary twice a week on business and I can’t find any other place I would rather eat. Thanks to hot point deli for making my stay pleasurable!

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. My daughter and her husband were excited for us to try Hotpoint for the first time Saturday evening. We had heard nothing but rave reviews on the food and were looking forward to it as well. The meal started out nice enough, great $ 5 nachos, a little eggplant appetizer were great. Then three of our four entrees came out. We politely waited for the fourth to arrive and my son-in-law said to go ahead and start before the food got cold. We were reassured a couple of times that his meal was«on its way» only to get 15 minutes later that his order was«lost in translation.» This used to be our way of saying we forgot to put the order in or put it in wrong. Another 10 minutes went by and we were done as his meal arrived — complete with ¼ of the salmon in the dish raw. The check came and I said to our server that I was surprised to still find the errant entrée on the bill. She went to management and then came back only to say that they were understaffed in the kitchen and that the manager would not remove the item. I once again protested politely and she left and came back to offer a free dessert that we weren’t particularly interested in ordering. Finally, the«manager,» a just recently out-of-diapers young man, took off half the price of the entrée and then with a pre-adolecent tone in his cracking voice shouted for us to «have a nice night» and«come back real soon.» Needless to say Hotpoint lost four customers that night and I will work diligently to make sure that they loose more. If they are running on such thin margins that they can’t comp a blatant screw up, I feel it wont be long before the owner of that building will be looking for a new tenant.

I love this place. The waiters are very polite and welcoming. My boyfriend and I are always there. They even know what our order is. We tend to stick to one thing but I decided to try their chicken Caesar sandwich and it was delicious. Recommend it 100%(P.S don’t forget to try their cheese and chocolate cakes)

I have never had a bad experience here. Great food, a diverse menu and friendly staff puts this restaurant on my «go to» list. If you own a restaurant that gets bad reviews, come here watch and learn.

This place is SO good. Casual interior(post modern Pizza Hut), inventive dishes(crab cake dogs), modestly priced and never under staffed. I can vouch for the spicy pork burrito, roast beast, and Cuban sammies. the pizza crust is perfection IMO. Generous with the sauce too.

One of our new favorite random places!!! We were looking to try somewhere new and Hot Point showed up online. So once we looked at the menu and saw catfish we were sold! When you get there it doesn’t look on the outside like anything to write home about but don’t let that fool you! The inside is cute, it was clean and the staff was all so nice and tentative! And lets get to the food. We had catfish tacos and the Felix the Cat sandwich. What an amazing cluster bomb of flavors! The sanwhich comes out and it’s not just thrown together, like it looks amazing once you get it that you don’t even know where to start! Same with the tacos — presentation is great at this place. The flavors and food were fresh, and the choices were unique but there’s also options for people who don’t stray off the beaten food path. I was with a picky eater and even he said we’ll definitely be coming back. So glad to have found this place!

Overall great experience. Went on a Thurs night around 7. There was plenty of seating and service was great! I got the crab/lobster bisque to start. It had good flavor but i guess i was expecting something thicker, creamier, and chunkier. Would prob skip it next time. Also got the spicy cuban sandwhich. Man!!! Was it spicy but also so full of flavor. Very delicious but too spicy for my taste. I would however recommend it to others! If I lived in town I would def be back! Convient from my hotel.

Almost everything is homemade. I’ve tried several of their sandwiches and fish tacos. Portions are plentiful. Flavor never disappoints.

I visited this restaurant since it’s walking distance from my hotel in Cary and has lots of vegetarian options(that can be made vegan.) It’s easy to miss on the highway but trust me, if you pass it turn around and go back! The waiter we had was very attentive and made sure to repeat my correct order before it even made it to the kitchen, and then checked once it came out that it was to our liking. Overall some of the best customer service I’ve seen in a while. The food though! I had the salad basket on flatbread and my fried ordered one of their numerous salad varieties. The portion sizes were intimidating when they appeared in front of us considering neither of us were starving, but we still devoured it all because it was just so fresh and delicious. Beats any chain restaurant nearby hands down. If you’re staying in one of the numerous hotels in the area and don’t want fast food or horrible hotel food, give this place a chance over something you can get in your own town.

First of all… wow! OMG! this place is a hidden gem! Not what I expected at all. Service was good and friendly. there were 2 that constantly checked on me. A young man with a great 70’s hairdo and a sweet lady that was constantly smiling. This place got busy quick. And with only 2 on the floor, I didn’t see a single unsatisfied customer. Now the food! They a good selection of pizzas, salads, apps and sandwiches. I got the ½ chili pesto chicken sandwich and ½ bowl of crab and lobster bisque, which mind you, has both meats in it yummmm! The chicken sandwich was soo delicious and just the way I like it. Thin slices of chicken, jalapeño, chili pesto sauce and peppers on an onion focaccia roll. WOW! the focaccia is made in house. It’s soft in the center with a nice crunch on the exterior. Definitely tasted like a deep dish pizza. My favorite part is that the sandwich didn’t fall apart or was messy. That sandwich was intact the whole way through! Great job!!! I highly highly recommended you try this place out, I promise you will come back for more. I know I’ll be back for lunch tomorrow! Cheers

Hands down, Hot Point is my favorite place to eat. They have a wide variety of salads, sandwiches, burritos, pizzas, quesadillas, and entrée dishes. A very affordable wine selection, several bottle beers, and a draft selection that rotates. We have been dining here since they were int he original location on Buck Jones Rd and the food has stayed the same(delicious)! Our favorites that I would highly recommend are; Tuscan salmon salad, catfish and veggies quesadilla, salmon from heaven, barbeta pizza, spork pizza, and crème brûlée. Please note that the ‘mean green pesto’ sauce can be spicy… but oh so good. The breads are ALL made in house. Lunch or order at the counter where dinner has full service w/servers. I’m only giving this place four stars because the service has always been hit or miss. We used to go EVERY Tuesday night before bowling but the service began to slack off, it would take a while to get our food. In the past few months it has started to improve and we have began to go more frequently. Bottom line. Go… try it… you won’t be disappointed!

Thanks to Unilocal for this awesome find! Hot Point doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food and prices are amazing. We snagged a table for dinner on the outdoor patio. The patio is feet away from Walnut St., so there’s not much of a view, but it’s still a nice place to sit on a warm evening. The menu is pretty big with a good variety of gourmet sandwiches. Lots of vegetarian options. I had a hard time deciding what to get. We ended up ordering two small pizzas — the Primavera(eggplant, veggies, big roasted red peppers) and the T-Rex(basically a meat lover’s pizza). Both tasted incredible. Fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection! The crust had the perfect amount of crunch without being too doughy. Prices are great, especially for the quality of food — two small pizzas + a beer for under $ 25. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Overall, a great experience. We will be back! Thanks again to my fellow Unilocalers for finding this gem.

Hot Point was a pleasant surprise as they offer great American diner food for unbelievably reasonable prices. I was a little skeptical at first because they offer everything from sandwiches to pizza to Tex Mex, and normally places that offer too wide a range of food aren’t that good. But after eating here, I discovered that they are the real deal, and I will definitely be back for more. I went with the beef burrito, and it was unlike any burrito I’ve ever had before. The burrito is huge and stuffed with shredded beef, similar to beef in a Philly cheesesteak. The beef is flavorful and tender, sliced very thin. I would’ve preferred ground beef or shredded beef more similar to barbacoa. There were also pieces of sausage, grilled peppers, onions, jalapeños, and cheese inside. The best part is that the burrito only has meat and grilled veggies inside, so they don’t try to deceive you with a giant burrito filled with rice and beans. You still get the rice on the side and the beans in an awesome bean purée sauce on top of the burrito. The black bean purée is really good and very unique, setting the burrito apart from others. There is also another creamy sauce on the burrito that has a mild spice and goes very well paired with the black bean purée. Overall, I enjoyed the burrito and would recommend it to anyone wanting to try hot point. I will definitely be returning to hot point to try their plethora of other delicious looking sandwiches, pizzas, tacos, etc. From what I could see other people order, it really looks like you can’t wrong with anything on the menu. Because of their very reasonable prices and great looking food, I would recommend giving Hot Point a try for lunch or dinner.

If I lived or worked closer to Hot Point, I’d go there every week until I tried each of those sandwiches with fun names like«Felix the Cat» and«Thanksgiving on a Bun.» Well, maybe not. I’d spend all my allowance for«lunches out» too much in one place. Still, I was impressed with my visit for lunch yesterday. Housed in an old Pizza Hut building, with a nice spread of patio seating, Hot Point really seems to have it going on with their mix of Mexican, Italian and Coastal styles and lots of flavors. Lots of salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and other entrees like lasagna and fish tacos to choose from! The menu tortured me with all its tempting imagery and rich descriptions of their food. I knew right away I wanted to try their Crab Bisque. Maybe I misread it and it had Lobster in it, but it was a little too cheesy(kept having to pull it away from my face) and seemed to lack meat. The flavor was very good though so that kept me satisfied for the most part. I debated between the Muffaletta — an Italian sandwich always gets me – and the Spicy Cuban sandwiches. Ultimately, I went with the Spicy Cuban. Roasted pork, ham, black bean purée, dill pickle, provolone, green demon pesto, Caesar dressing and spicy Cuban sauce on a sub roll. Super satisfied with that choice! I ate half of it and held myself back from finishing the rest, but knew it would just be too much. Today, however, the flavor was still just as rich! Impressive! The bun wasn’t too moist and the cheese melted just right when I reheated it. Hot Point is definitely a hot spot near Crossroads. It’s not in the cluster of all the other restaurants and stores, but rather across from it right near an I-40 entrance. Be on the lookout for the«old Pizza Hut» building next to an Exxon. Dive location? Kind of. Food quality and service? Fantastic.

I left incredibly satisfied after our dinner at Hot Point. Not only was the food delicious, but the prices are super reasonable, with most dishes being under $ 10. If I worked near Hot Point, then I would definitely be visiting here regularly for lunch, because there is just so much variety to the menu. While it makes it difficult to decide what to order, I know that I can mix up what I want every time and I won’t get bored. Do I want Italian or do I want Mexican? Or wait… no, I want a sandwich on that delicious bread. For those who are indecisive, this place may stress you out but I look at it as a challenge to try so many different things! We started off with the bread plate for an appetizer, since it was a decent price and we had heard so much about their bread. The sauces they provide with the bread make it worth ordering if you have a few people to share it with. I ordered the fish tacos as my entrée and they were fantastic! The crunch you get from the taco shells is fabulous and it was not lacking in flavor at all. We considered getting dessert also, since they seemed inexpensive, but we were already so full that we decided to skip it this time. I do have to dock them a star for their subpar service. The servers were friendly, but not the quickest. When we arrived there was a wait by the door, but there were several empty tables… The servers seemed disorganized and didn’t have the manpower to seat us, while also serving the tables they already had. But once we were sat, we were served promptly and everything was fine. Also, there is nothing special about the décor, but I don’t mind as long as my food tastes good(which it definitely did!). If you work or live near here, then count yourself lucky! I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

For lunch — this place is spot on. We arrived right at noon and of course there was a line and we weren’t able to even get inside the building. Luckily they are very efficient and the line moved quickly. They have an extensive menu and really something for everyone. The woman behind the counter was friendly without being obnoxious and we were able to place our order quickly. We found a table outside since it was a gorgeous day. Some reviewers have commented on the noise outside, but I didn’t really find it bothersome. Yes it is on Walnut which has traffic, but it was never loud enough that I couldn’t hear or have a conversation. I got the fish tacos and my husband got a Marvin the Monster. They were both absolutely delicious. The red chili pesto on the tacos was full of flavor. We were in & out in 40 minutes. It was quick, absolutely delicious, and very well priced. We will absolutely be back.

Eating a sandwich for dinner? Typically, yes it would be considered a boring meal but not when it’s done here! Their sandwiches are SO gourmet that you’ll wonder how they manage to afford all the ingredients they put into them at their price! My crab cake sandwich was the special of the day and I’m so glad I got it– ’twas a rich and creamy experience. Also, the focaccia bread some of their sandwiches come on is the bomb! The bread is super soft but has a nice crunch to it! The fish taco was pretty good– it could’ve had more salsa/seasoning/sauce/anything to add that extra oomph! Anyhow, towards the end of the meal, the tacos got a bit soggy… Their crème brûlée was perfectly sweet and the sugary shell was nicely toasted. The custard itself was a bit too thick for me personally, but the flavor was still there! Servers are kind and friendly! It’s a popping place but they seem to handle crowds well. This place has a cozy/homey vibe to it. I think it might be one of the best hole in the walls for Cary!

Wonderful little locally-owned restaurant with delicious and reasonably priced meals. The menu has something for just about everyone. Sandwiches, soups, salads, pizza, chicken, fish, burritos and calzones to name just a few. Small but decent selection of wine and beer. The bread plate appetizer was a generous portion of crispy focaccia bread with basil pesto, sun dried tomato pesto, olive tapenade, garlic, mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Great selection of toppings so you can pick and choose your favorites. A delicious appetizer for just $ 4.25. Incidentally, you can’t even buy the smallest bottle of glorified tap water at the movie theater for that amount. The tuna was perfectly cooked. It came with angel hair pasta in a spicy sweet sauce slightly reminiscent of pad Thai seasoning. It was a bit sweet for my tastes but very flavorful. The crème brûlée is not made in house, but for a mere $ 3.50 it’s worth it. It comes in a cute glazed terra cotta dish and I bet if you ask nicely, they will let you take that little dish home with you. I learned that they toss them anyway so I scored a decorative plant saucer for a little pot. No, not that kind of pot and, yes, I’m all for shameless recycling. Anyway, the top was freshly caramelized(though not as crunchy as I would have liked), and the crème was chilled. Tasty little dessert for the price. The dining area could use a few more plants and maybe some more artwork or decorations. The candlelight on the tables are a warm, welcome contrast to the dark brick walls from the building’s former days as a Pizza Hut. Overall, it’s a cozy, casual environment with a good variety of delicious food, great service, and reasonable prices.
