Horrible experience. I’m assuming from a previous review and experience, if you ain’t black don’t go here. You’ll be referred to one of their inexperienced/​defected machined barbers. The other barbers won’t even speak to you if you ain’t one of the regulars. Would’ve rated a zero if possible.

The family and I were in Long Beach on business and heard about this amazing barber named Kemal Mingo in Carson. My son need a haircut so we decided to give it a go.
Like every barbershop there’s a wait and it was completely worth it. This was the best haircut my 16 year old son has had in a long time and I am not over exaggerating.
If you are in the Long Beach area and need a goo cut, stop by Our People Barbershop and ask for Kemal. You won’t be disappointed.

I went to this place a while back just to get a quick beard trim. Of all the barbers I asked to give me a 10 minute trim, they all acted like they didn’t want to be bothered.
After asking about 5 barbers, I finally got one to agree to give me a beard trim. The barber told me I was next in line. When he was finished cutting the customers hair, my cousin (small world) walked in the shop and that barber pointed to him and cut his hair. I looked at him like WTF, are you serious! So I left and went to Platinum Styles and got an amazing good beard trim from Julius.
I will never EVER go back to this ghetto dope dealing barber shop.

I came to this barbershop with a friend who is a regular customer. At first, it seemed like a nice barbershop with friendly staff. However, this was short lived. As I was waiting for a barber to open up, one of the barbers played a recording of a man giving an inspiration speech regarding race and poverty. One of the barbers (the largest one) assumed the individual in the recording was a Muslim, which wasn’t the case. This IGNORANT individual began yelling «F*** MUSLIMS! I HATE ALL MUSLIMS! F*** THEM ALL!» Personally, I’m not a religious individual, but i was so appalled that an EMPLOYEE of a business in this day and age can yell such prejudice statements. The owner of this shop should be able to control his employees for the sake of his business. After I heard these prejudice statements, which were repeated over and over again, i refused to take my business there. I left without receiving a haircut because I will never support a business who employs such ignorant individuals.
DO NOT GIVE THESE IGNORANT/​PREJUDICE INDIVIDUALS ANY BUSINESS!

I got a great cut from Suki today. She was friendly and professional and I didnt have to wait long. I will definitely be back.

Was working in LB today and thought I might need a hair cut, you know just in case something comes up during the weekend. Remembered wife’s friend worked around here, so I stopped by. Place was busy and then was referred to there sister location off Dominguez. Arrive there and noticed a barber shop next door. This was a real barber shop, like the one in the movies. What the hell, I gave it shot. Walked in and everyone turns and stares at me like they never seen an asian walk up in the hood. But yes, I was the only non black in there. Yelled out to the man «i just want a fresh clean fade. After 30 mins, came out with the best fade I’d ever had. Thanks K.D.

This is my first time ever visiting a barber shop because I big chopped my hair. Suki was recommended to me by another person but her customer service and listening skills are sub-​par. I explained to her what I wanted but she did not listen. Mind you, my hair was already short so I did not want her to take more off. I asked for a taper towards the back and on the sides down by my temples and just a line up around the edges to give it an even and clean look. I walked out completely unsatisfied. To make matters worse, she tried to justify her work by comparing my hair to another woman. While the other barbers in the shop are friendly and welcoming, I was not happy with the end result of my haircut.

The staff at OUR PEOPLE BARBER SHOP are very professional. And they keep a smile on your face. The facility is clean. The bathroom is A1, very sanitary. The customer service is impeccable. The Barber’s are professional. I highly recommend OUR PEOPLE BARBER SHOP.
