Eyesmile Optometry Myhanh Tran, OD

1.5 stars: They look friendly but they talked to me like I was stupid or something! I went 2 times here and both times they didn’t accept me the first time because I didn’t have a letter from my doctor saying that I need to see the Optometry (When I called to make the appointment they never told me that I needed that letter! They also never ask about my insurance or nothing) so I told them «The letter is all I need» they said yes so I was ok I went to my doctor and got the letter I call again make ANOTHER appointment and then the day comes around and I go back then I give them my insurance and the letter from the doctor then the assistant and the doctor are back and forth saying «yes we can take her» and «no we can’t» for 3 mins in the end they didn’t accept me because: «Our optometry’s name needs to be on the letter» keep in mind that the first time I went they just told me I needed a letter saying I needed to see the Optometry and when I asked them several times «so thats all I need» they said «yes» they never said anything about the letter having to have there name on the it even when I asked them several times if thats all I needed. In the end she said she couldn’t take me and if I wanted I could go back to my doctors to ask to put the name on the paper and then call to make an appointment (FOR THE 3^rd TIME WTF!) I just said «whatever» and left my little sister was with me and even she looked annoyed at the costumer service. I ended up going to another optometry way WAY better !!

Not too happy with the service I received.
I have funny insurance so I called ahead of time to see if I needed a referral for an appointment or not. The lady took my info and told me she would call me in an hour because she was busy. When she called back she said my insurance should be fine and I booked the appointment.
Of course when I get there it’s a different story. She tells me that I need a referral but I can instead buy the package special. Then the doctor comes out and double checks my insurance then proceeds to try to sell me the package deal again! If I wanted a special I wouldn’t be going through my insurance!
I leave, call another optometrist and give my info again. They immediately tell me I need a referral. This place sounds like they want you to come in so they can promote their specials. The lady up front didn’t even know how to check my insurance correctly! Needless to say, I did not book a follow up.

Got my first pair of glasses. Very nice and professional services. The glasses came out great. The kids (8 & 6) were tested as well. Trying to get the boys to sit still is like herding cats. Dr. Tran did a great job with them!

Dr Tran is the best. Very detail and professional. Love her staff as well. Very easy to make an appointment and they take my insurance. Other offices want you to pay and then you submit your paperwork to your insurance for reimbursement. Dr Tran’s staff takes care of that for you. So very easy. In and out. Also if you need a dentist her husband is next door. Great family practice.

My go-​to eye doctor! She’s great! Very professional and sweet woman. Always remembers me by name, even though I only come in once or twice a year for my annual check up and to pick up my glasses. Love their selection of frames, and very affordable! They always say to wait 2 weeks for my glasses to arrive, but I never have to wait that long because they are usually there in less than a week, which is great! Definitely recommend!

Super nice and attentive. Been with her for at least 5 – 6 years. I moved to Pasadena and SD in that time period and still went back to her.

This is my primary eye doctor, and Myhanh Tran O.D. really is a great optometrist… She is very knowledgeable, kind and easy to talk to.
I found this location through my vision insurance provider (VSP) and so far everything has gone very smoothly. On my last visit (today) she hooked me up with a free trial pair of contact lenses, contact cleaner, glasses cleaner and a soft case for my glasses that I took off to try the free lenses… No real reason, just that I didn’t have them on me at the time, so she just said, here ya go… Thanks!
Anyway, I get my contacts here and checkups… Love it, wouldn’t change for the world!

extremely disappointed services, not just they were rude. When I requested for a faxed description, after several days, many phone calls, they faxed a wrong prescription (instead of one for left eye and another one for right eye, they give two right eye prescriptions) and refused to correct it. I left several voicemail asking them to fax the correct one or return my phone calls, they NEVER did. I still don’t have a prescription to purchase contact lens!!!
