Best tacos and burritos in the South Bay. Me and my girlfriend also had their Michelada’s for their first time and I gotta say, hands down best Michelada’s. You have to try them!

Today was my first time trying this place and I fell in love. One of my new fav Mexican food spots in the area. The taquitos and enchiladas are the best and they also have really good micheladas!

Have been a patron since they were on Avalon. I always liked their food but it wasn’t outstanding. For one thing, I don’t care for their guacamole. But they have always been nice and very professional. I like that their close to my work so I can call and order and they always have my order ready. That changed the other day. I ordered cocido(beef soup) and it was one of the best cocidos I’ve ever had. The meat was trimmed and the veggies were all bite-sized and it came with a corn. My favorite was the potatoes. It came with rice, tortillas, and cilantro, onions, and tortillas. I had it for dinner and still had enough for the next day. Delicious!

My review is mainly for Sunday mornings! I have yet to go on Taco Tuesdays and lunch or dinner time. Their hours are pretty decent as they open 8am and close 9pm every day. If you’ve never been, browse through the menu first and then order upfront. First order and pay, then you seat yourself. They’ll give you a number and they’ll call you when your food is ready for pick-up. The wait is not bad at all. They’re quick with bringing out orders. By the time you get your condiments(salsa/pickles), they should be ready right after. If not, there is a tv on-site. It’s almost always on sports so even better! Their menu is never ending which is perfect because there’s so much to try. They have specials and a kids menu as well. Anything on the breakfast menu are available ALL day too. I’ve tried the breakfast chorizo burrito with egg inside, so delicious! Mi abuelita always gets the bowl of Menudo with sides of lime wedges and diced onions and cilantro. I suggest extra cilantro, so yummy. I’ve recently tried the pastor combo plate with 2 flour tortillas – a must try. They have more meats to choose from, try them all! Maybe I’ll try the fish fillet, fried whole fish, camarones or birria next time! As for drinks, they have small or large cups for fountain drinks and Mexican aguas like horchata, tamarindo and orange bang. I would suggest to get a large cup and ask for water cups to share! The drinks are free refills too. They even serve hot coffee and alcoholic drinks. The whole place is fairly clean, restrooms included. The service is always exceptional. If ever I needed anything behind the counter, the lady upfront is always happy to give it to me. Thank you! Parking is no problem on Sunday mornings. Other stores around open at a later time anyways. The parking lots say«30min parking» but I say ignore it. No one really checks.

So I have been here three times and I must say I enjoy the tacos, I have had the carnitas, asada, chicken and al pastor. My favorite are the asada and carnitas. They are really simple tacos meat, onions and cilantro. My daughter enjoyed the asada fries they have cheese, beans, meat, pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole the look really good. I have tried the burritos and I was not a fan of them. You can also get a margarita here, along with beer with your meal.

First off I know REALMEXICAN food locations don’t have nachos as it is not authentic Mexican but most places that have them do a decent job with them as it is not to hard to make. All but this location, the little amount of cheese that was on the nachos was not melted, the meat tasted like it was made the day before and the salsa had no flavor. Luckily the chips weren’t old.

The carne asada tacos are really good and the workers are always nice. They have taco Tuesday, $ 1 tacos.

Dollar tacos on Tuesdays! Soft tacos only. But they were pretty good the al pastor taco was by far my favorite and the asada taco was also really good. Chicken is stewed so in a taco it gets all soggy, but the flavor is good. Skip the carnitas, they are dry and flavorless. The crunchy tacos were a bit disappointing with their pre-made shells, worse shells I’ve ever had.

I came here for Taco Tuesday, and it’s absolutely the cheapest tacos you can get in the South Bay at $ 1 per taco. Reviews looked solid, and we were on our way to satiate our taco cravings. We expected it to be a little busy for Taco Tuesday right around dinner time but we totally didn’t expect what actually welcomed us. It was a full-on birthday party, from babies to grandma to cousins, accompanied by table settings and taking up 75% of the space. I don’t know if it’s normal but I guess it’s a different thing to do! Unfortunately, my partner was feeling a bit anti-social so the rowdiness and the kids running around made it difficult to enjoy dinner. Onto the food, the prices are just amazing. We ordered five tacos, a side of fries(major craving!), and a soft drink for under $ 10. Unfortunately, everything was either undercooked or overcooked so nothing was really enjoyed — just kinda eaten to fill our bellies. I would come back if I only cared about saving money but I wouldn’t come back for higher-quality tacos.

After a few turns on the go-karts nearby(8÷6÷15), we decided to try El Taco Charro in Carson. It’s near Ikea and that whole bit… My brothers said, «Find a place where they serve beer.» My husband said, «Find a place that’s good. I don’t care what it is.» This daunting task is always easier said than done and it’s not solely because of their above requests. It’s because we also had two little ones with us. This place scored on all three aspects. Beer. Good food. Kid-friendly… at least with the menu and the availability of high chairs and clean tables. There are NO baby changing stations in the(mostly clean) women’s single restroom, so good luck there. How to Order They don’t have waiting service. Instead, you order at the window, take a ticket, and wait for them to call your number out. You walk your happy butt up there to get the tray your own self. The kid’s plate I chose for our 2-year-old was the bean/cheese burrito with crinkled fries. It came with a 12 oz. drink. Other options were quesadilla, enchilada, or taco plate — all of which are served with beans and rice and a 12 oz. drink. Each kid’s plate is $ 4.19 plus tax. She ate quite a bit of it, but she also ate some of my rice and her dad’s guacamole. Our 1-year-old also enjoyed the rice and beans. They were not too spicy for her. #3 — 3 Amigos Combo Plate($ 6.29): While I got up to grab a fork for our 2-year-old, the 1-year-old jacked the crunchy taco off of my plate. Right in front of my husband too. He was too busy stuffing his own face to realize what she did. At any rate, the pieces of beef in the taco were moist and easy enough for her to eat. She has only 6 teeth! There wasn’t any spicy salsa or pico de gallo on the taco, so we got lucky there. The soft taco did have some spicy salsa. It had a nice amount of cilantro which I love. The chicken in the taquito was good too. Not a single piece of meat was overcooked or too tough to chew. All fresh veggies and pretty good tortillas. I had Orange Bang from the soda machine. I forgot to partake in the salsa/condiments bar, but it was on the small side. It was clean, though, and looked fresh. I’m so bummed I didn’t save room for the coctel de camaron my brother ordered. He said it was good. I really wanted menudo, but like many Mexican restaurants, they only serve it on the weekends. Did I mention they sell beer? Have new items on their menu like the chile relleno, shrimp enchiladas, and tacos gobernador? Have two TVs tuned into Dodgers baseball? They have soft Taco Tuesday at $.99 apiece plus tax, but that excludes fish & shrimp. It’s a clean place in an unexpected area. I like it. The employees were busy as heck, but mostly nice. Affordable food. We didn’t wait too terribly long for it to come out… maybe 5 minutes. They are attempting to recycle which I love, but it sure would help if they emptied the larger trash cans before dumb-As do a «oh wtf» and throw their food and everything in the recycle bin which honestly could be marked a bit more clearly. Visual aids work way better than small handwriting on white signs. Parking might be an issue, but only because it is shared with other businesses in this strip mall. I’d suggest you give it a try if you’re in the area and don’t want the usual corporate restaurant food. Review #382 Unilocal challenge 201563⁄100

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for many years. even when it was located across from City Hall(where the new IHOP is now located) and they do have good food there. The staff all know me there and I always chat with the manager when I see him. They also have a Taco Tuesday there… so on that day all soft shelled tacos are only $ 1. They also seem to have fresh salsa(mild green and spicy red). One thing I have to point out though. If you don’t like peppers you have to tell them when you order because they’re put on your food by default. I’ve had tacos and enchiladas that were extremely spicy before. So when you order you have to tell them«No Peppers» or «Nothing Spicy» for each of your item when you order, otherwise that one dish will be spicy.

Food is convenient, decent-tasting, and prices are reasonable. I like the veggie burrito since I no longer eat meat. I like to stock up on the carrots, salsa, and jalapenos as well. The lady who usually takes phone orders and works the cash register is a bit dry and unfriendly. But… I will continue to order from this place.

Whoever even mentioned service in this place is an idiot. It’s a place that charges $ 1 for tacos. Are you mentally challenged that you would expect some kind of service at this place? Maybe you didn’t like the wine list either… morons. Tacos are awesome and dirt cheap. I ordered $ 19 worth of just tacos of different kinds and didn’t have a bad one. Everything came out made as cheaply as possible and on the cheapest disposable plates I’ve ever seen — actually my inlaws have similar ones, so I felt like I belonged(my inlaws always make me feel like I am home). I have a client in the area and definitely will be stopping back when I am in town next.

Why haven’t I come across this place after my trips to ikea.idk. I wish I found this place sooner so I could’ve ditched the mall food long ago. The restaurant is on the opposite side of ikea, in the same plaza as the seafood restaurant located in the corner. The cash register lady seemed to be having a long day but that didn’t stop her from smiling and being nice when we were ready to take our orders. I had the #2 el patron combination with carne asada as my choice of meat. I also got to try a pastor burrito. and when that happened I know j won’t be getting carne asada again here lol the pastor is much better. Not that the carne asada was bad, it didn’t have the kick of flavor the pastor did. Don’t forget to grab your slices of lime, salsas, radishes, and carrots to the right of the drinks before you eat your meal or take your food to go. Plus 1 for having orange bang here Plus 1 more for having a recycling option for your plastic and glass bottles located by the entrance.

From the parking lot, it doesn’t look like much. But when you enter the place, it’s air conditioned, the walls are vibrant and it’s spacious. They have a large selection of fountain drinks, including my favorites: orange bang, piña colada, horchata, and others including sodas. There is a salsa bar including help-yourself to braised/pickled carrots and sliced radish. There’s green and red sauce and sliced limes. The menu consists of tacos, burritos, tortas„ and a lot more. There’s a kids menu too. Lots to choose from. There were plenty of phone and togo orders. I ordered the 3 taco plate that comes with beans, rice, and a drink for $ 7.31 tax included. Everything on the plate was delicious! I don’t normally eat the beans and depending on how the rice is cooked I don’t eat touch that either. To my surprise, it was all so god. The beans were creamy and full of flavor. I got beef asada tacos with cilantro, no onions or salsa. The meat is tender and flavorfull, I loved it! The combination of the tacos, beans n rice, and the carrots and radish… just bad ass! I wanted to eat more of it! The restaurant is very clean, the ambiance makes you feel like it’s authentic mexican food, which it really is! They have enough tables to pull together for gatherings(slightly less than a large gathering). There’s a few outside seating as well. Can’t wait to come back. If there are taqitos, I’d get that. Or perhaps a burrito dry, with carnitas and rice only. Mmmmmm, yummy!

This used to be on Carson Street east of Avalon(across from the Civic Center) under a slightly different name, so it’s essentially a Carson staple. The new location is clean, bright, colorful, and has plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor tables as well in a tucked away courtyard. With two flat screens on the wall and a liquor license, this could be a decent place to grub and catch a game. I’ve had the«grilled» chicken, but it’s really a deep-fried half – and it’s delicious. The other items I can vouch for are the tacos – on Tuesdays, they’re just a buck. The chicharron is delicious! The tacos are soft shell, tiny, with decent amounts of meat and tasty fixin’s that complete each bite. Finally, their version of carne asada fries /nachos are very good. You’ll find bigger portions elsewhere, but you get your money’s worth here. You can switch out meats on the fries /nachos, and the pork options are a nice change of pace from beef and chicken. If you’re ever near the South Bay Pavilion(aka Carson Mall, aka IKEA), this is worth checking out.
