. The food is nasty and soggy and old they don’t have ppl for a reason. They are rude as well.

Sometimes you just have to laugh… walked in and there was a lady ordering from the case. She is pointing at the orange chicken asking whats this and to the broccoli beef asking whats that…“Would you like a sample?” You could almost hear her brain scream UHYEAH… THOUGHTYOUNEVERASK!!! THEN after chewing the sauce coated toothpick to death, she had to pick another side. «Are the eggrolls a side? Yeah I want ones of thems. Nah… No no no… I want THAT one right there.» It was like a game of duck duck goose. I guess if you have to spend your money, you make it worthwhile.

I was looking for some Chinese food for lunch today. I did not want to get any of the«lunch» specials because I did not know how long the food has been sitting under the lamps. I ordered some Kung Pao Chicken($ 9.95) and some Shrimp Fried Rice($ 8.75). When I opened my order there were 3 food boxes. One was a really small box with white rice(it was dry). For 20 bucks I was expecting a lot of food but was really disappointed. Ninety percent of the shrimp was at the top of box and the chicken is half liquid. I called and spoke to April(who was very nice) to verify that these were full orders. She told me they were. The quality of the food was good but not for the price. It didn’t taste any better than other places I’ve been to but I sure did pay out of the nose for it. If you are looking for value this is not the place.

My mom and I were in the neighborhood after having made a purchase at a business nearby. There used to be a Chong’s in our area but we thought that it was no longer in business. We told the lady at this location about it and she said it is undergoing renovation. So, let’s get to the nitty-gritty. Mom ordered the wonton soup. It came with a small portion of noodles in a large porcelain bowl. I chose chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken and broccoli. Last night marked the first time I have enjoyed Chong’s. Their food just didn’t satisfy on the other occasions. Nothing was dry or flavorless. Both of us were very delighted that we chose to eat here.

Definitely better than Panda Express. That was my thought after trying their food. Before that, I thought to myself that it was comparable since the orange chicken was the first food I saw. The female employee that helped me out was very friendly. I tried out their orange chicken and it was definitely better than Panda’s. I ordered the fish, beef & beans, as well as half noodles and rice. She gave me a lot because I was unable to finish it towards the end! The noodles were really good actually. The rice and fish were average. The beef & beans were flavorful. I would rate this as a 3.5 star. Cheap food. Huge portions.

With a dearth of any decent eateries in Carson, I decided on this cheapie Chinese take-out(located across Avalon from the Stub Hub Center) serving pre-cooked items a la Panda Express-style. Overall, not great, but incredibly filling. I ordered the 2-entrée plate, which also included 2 sides. Lots of food for less than $ 8, a real bargain. I would choose this over the ever-present Panda Express, just because I believe in supporting small local businesses over corporate.

Awe sorry I did not like this Chinese food place. There was nothing about this restaurant that I was like I would be back. Everything tasted old the egg rolls were not good and they were expensive. As a matter of fact there entrees were expensive I brought two meals and it cost me close to 20 bucks. I was like what the heck!!! I will continue with my hole in wall Chinese food place.

I haven’t eaten here in a few years. I was craving egg fu yung and found out they haven’t sold it in a long time. Stared at the entrée items and wasn’t very thrilled with the one vegetarian option they had. I saw something crispy and asked what it was. The lady fixing my plate told me it was spicy fried fish and offered a sample. It wasn’t bad so I decided to get it as my entrée with an eggroll and half fried rice/half spicy chow mein. Everything was freshly cooked. Not bad, but not great either. I just can’t seem to find authentic Chinese food anymore.

I grew up down the street and have eaten take out from here more times than I can count. Now that I live in West LA I only come here when I find myself in Carson for other things. The one thing that keeps me coming back is the Spicy Chow Mein. I’m addicted to spicy food so any place that makes a spicy version of a classic is all good in my books! Just as with most Chinese take out places, the food is best when it’s fresh and hasn’t been sitting under the heat lamps long. Feel free to ask the staff how long its been there if it doesn’t look appealing and usually they’ll make a new batch. They have tables to sit down down but I never have so I don’t know what that customer service is like.

The spicy chowmein is NOT spicy. It is good though. I do appreciate the large pieces of bell peppers in it. The orange and honey chicken are my favorite, especially when fresh. Slightly crunchy and sweet, good stuff! I am a kung pao chicken fan! But NOT from here. I can’t even tell what is zucchini and what is chicken. Everything is just brown and mushy. I haven’t got lucky and arrived when fresh. Maybe then I’ll change my mind. Chicken eggrolls are the fattest I’ve ever seen! No lie! Again, when fresh they are best! These are easy to fry up and only take a few minutes, so just ask for them fresh. BBQ chicken is yummy! Try that! Overall, good service, plenty of seating, and free samples!

Pretty good for a Chinese fast food place. Love their orange chicken and king pao chicken. Soups are great when you’re sick. Loaded with fresh vegetables. The AC is not very strong so I don’t recommend sitting and eating there. Overall good food for the price.

I have been coming to Chong’s since Chong himself worked here. At that time, the food was fantastic, good quality ingredients. The last time I came by was a fear years ago. Well, I decided to swing by and the food quality is noticeable. Different noodles are used now, the rice was dry and the orange chicken was caked in sauce, probably to mask cheaper chicken. I’m disappointed that Chong’s has decided to go this route.

As the kids say OMG this place is really fantastic you have to try this food. My family has eaten at chongs for many years and they have stayed true to the same quality we have come to know. I always order the shrimp fried rice having them make it spicy adding extra green onions you can specify the size shrimp that you want and they pack a lot of rice in that quart container the rice is spicy well seasoned and tastes even better the next day. I ordered a small container of orange chicken its juicy and crunchy perfectly seasoned with a spicy orange sauce that is sticky and sweet. I bought a container of house chow mein it had fat sautéed shrimp chicken and beef seasoned perfectly with a delicious sauce and the noodle were really good uniquely tender these noodles had a light color. I have never seen noodles like these they are usually dark and chewy well slap my behind and call me Sally that was the best chow mein I ever tasted. They have so many delicious things on the menu tender brown rice the steamed vegetables are really tasty and they also have a tofu-veggie dish that’s fantastic egg foo yung, stir fry noodles, fried shrimp and more. They sell all the typical Chinese food fare but the major difference Chong’s is best. You’ll find a variety of fried rice we especially love the house fried rice it has chicken, shrimp, bbq Chinese pork and beef you will love it. Want Asian style fried chicken it’s here along with teriyaki chicken, beef and chicken bowls Chinese bbq pork, sweet and sour chicken and the hot and sour soup is really good. The dishes are too numerous too name and everything they make is delicious. Chinese food it’s what’s for dinner. Just sayin…

Chongs has been one of my favorite restaurants since childhood. The employees are pretty friendly, it’s always kept pretty clean and tidy, and the food is good. The serving portions are pretty generous, a hungry person would be full off of a 2 item plate. The pricing is fair, about $ 6 – 7 for a 2 item plate. I have never sat in to eat, but every time I go during lunch time I always see people eating there and from the looks of it the waiters are pretty attentive. It’s definitely not a fancy place, but more of a casual sit-in fast food Chinese joint. You can never go wrong with orange chicken, BBQ pork, chow mein and friend or white rice. The orange chicken has good flavor, not too sweet or tangy… just right. The chow mein is a medium sized noodle with delicious flavor! A definite must if you are nearby!

Price is excellent for the amount of food they give you. One 2-item comblo makes for 2 meals or even 2 people. If you go before 2pm, they offer«Chow fun noodles»(flat rice noodles) as a substitute for chow mein. The first time I tried this place, I ordered the 2-item combo w/half fried rice and half chow mein, with sesame chicken and kung pow chicken. I also ordered a side of vegetable spring rolls. The fried rice and chow mein were tasty. The sesame chicken was great. It was sweet, but not too sweet and a little crunchy on the outside. The kung pow was really good and had the right amount of heat. The spring rolls were huge and so full of flavor. I returned on another visit and came before 2pm, so instead of half rice/noodles, I ordered just chow fun noodles w/sesame chicken. The chow fun noodles are tasty, bu on this occasion, they were yummy and delicious. On another visit, I ordered this exact order but this time the noodles were just way too greasy. I’m a fan of the food and the service is alright. I’m just disappointed the cooking isn’t consistent. I’m not sure if I want to try again?

They give a lot of food for the price. The food is actually good here. They have excellent vegetable egg rolls. I am unsure how they can make them so large and tasty? Tip: 1) Go after 12:00 pm to get the food fresh.

Came here for dinner, just needed something to eat back at the hotel. I know, pretty boring but business trips sometimes are best enjoyed with take out. I had Beef Lo Mein and egg rolls. I enjoyed both while watching TV and it made for a relaxing evening after a long day. I would go back.
