As predicted, Gayle’s Mom had pretty much arranged the food supply for our Family Thanksgiving Feast. However, there were a few last minute items, of which Gayle and I immediately volunteered to brave the US395 Corridor to obtain. My Mother-In-Law likes this store for its selection and nice folks, although she points out that they’re not always price competitive. I found this Save Mart to be OK. We bought what we were looking for, although I found the dual aisle system to be a bit confusing. I’m also thinking that this store is about due for a remodel. There are no self checkout stations, but so what. Their glitches seem to slow me down between missed scans, not putting the item in the right place, and poorly considered queue control. During our visit, the Checker and Bagger were friendly enough, and it was pleasant to share a little holiday cheer with fellow human beings rather than a scanner.
