Lack of professionalism. If you are a new patient you will be scheduling with a new patient coordinator, which there is only one. A practice this size, needs to have more than one, you will find out why. I called after leaving the Carson Tahoe ER for severe bladder pain one afternoon. I was told by the ER doctor that he gave me a referral to Carson Urology and to call Carson Urology ASAP to make appointment. He handed me a piece of paper with the doctors name and the number of CU. I did just that. Knowing that they do have a large volume of calls coming in, I was understanding that I couldn’t speak to this person to schedule an appointment for a day and a half. I finally got to speak to «this person» I was so excited to finally get see a urologist for this on going problem, to my dismay I was shut down in the most harsh way. I was spoken to so rudely and condescendingly I was just in shock. I’m not sure if she was just having a bad day, but she is the first one you speak to, and that is and was my first judgement on Carson Urology, very bad professionalism. I recommend they get someone else with telecommunication skills fast… with a kindness, urgency, tact, ETC!

If you want to spend ½ your day just waiting to see an assistant to a doctor then go here. My daughter is 18 months old and has a severe kidney disease. When she flares up she needs to be seen immediately. They schedule 4 – 5 weeks out and your appointment is really an hour after what they tell you. Also the nurse that works for Dr. Cunningham is very rude and makes you feel bad for not making enough money to waste your whole day here.
