I like the fact that it is self service which means you dont need to put tip. However the food is just so-so. Phở was ok and hot pot was also just ok.

Friendly owner at the front. The food tasted fresh and the place was very clean. Best phở I have had since moving here from Washington DC. I’ll definitely be back.

Not very nice service, very bland tasting food. Good things about this place are absolutely clean restaurant and very fresh ingredients. If you don’t mind about the taste and services so much try this place for… hygiene? Yeah let’s go with that.

Our first time visiting here with the remodel. Much brighter and friendlier atmosphere than the previous version of this place. Designed more as a fast casual restaurant, the place has more convenient options for a to-go experience, along with a selection of teas and boba drinks. Had the pork spring rolls. Pork portion was small but the food was tasty. Wife had the pork vermicelli. She liked it and compared it favorably to other phở establishments we have tried in the area. I tried the bulgogi banh mi, which is spiritually similar to both a traditional pork banh mi and nearby LA Burger’s Bulgogi Hoagie sandwich. Comes with a Sriracha Mayo dressing. Large portion for a sandwich and it was really juicy and moist. We want to come back here and try some of the other options to see how it compares to other places we go to, so I give it a good recommendation if you’re wanting to try a different take on what you get at other Phở establishments around the area.

Moved in the area just last week and I don’t have a refrigerator, so my fiancé and I went here twice in the past few days. I believe this is the only Vietnamese restaurant in the huge Old Denton strip mall. The first time we ordered the Phở Tai Wrap(for 2), we did not know what we were getting ourselves into. When we sat down at one of the small round tables, we were told this would be too small for our dish, so we found a larger booth. When the food arrived, we were delighted with the abundance and freshness of the vegetables and the flavor of the pork. But frankly, it was a pain in the butt to roll up our own spring rolls. The rice paper was difficult to maneuver with the plastic chop sticks, and the water in which to dip the rice paper was initially boiling hot and quickly became room temperature. The experience was more arduous than fun. I personally did not want to work that hard for my meal. It was sloppy. And we had to order 2 additional sides of meat to feel full. But since the food itself tasted delicious and the vegetables were very fresh, we came back two days later, this time just ordering the chicken phở. The broth was the best phở broth I had tasted – it was light, rich in flavorful, and left no after taste – and there was an unlimited supply of fresh basil, cilantro, lime, onions, and bean sprouts(Vegetarians, beware: this is a broth made from beef and chicken meat and bones). I still felt they skimped on the chicken, but I could have ordered double meat for a few extra bucks. Would definitely come again. I recommend for the taste of the food, but be sure to account for the small meat portion sizes as well as whether or not you’re in the mood to assemble your own rolls.

An interesting spin on Vietnamese phở. A very Korean slant with fresh ingredients. Very light in flavor. Not oily.

I’ve been to Vietnam many times, so I definitely know a good bowl of phở when I taste one. I’m new to Dallas and have been looking for a good phở place. Phở Tai in this Korean strip mall next to H-Mart is the best that I’ve tasted so far. It really comes down to the broth and do a great job. The help yourself bar of fresh basil, bean sprouts, cilantro, lime, variety of hot sauces is a great touch. The water dispensing machine reminds me of Seoul, hehe. For the same price as other places, I would much rather come here. I will surely try the spring rolls and hot pot next time.

All the food seemed very fresh. Our phở was delicious and the self serve tray for bean sprouts and cilantro was a nice touch. The interior is well decorated in modern black and green colors, and the entire place is spacious and clean. I will be back.

After this place got a new owner, the looks of it upgraded but the service has down graded big time. My family and I went to eat hot pot and when we asked for more rice paper they just yelled across the restaurant«we can’t give you more!» Rice paper does not cost a lot. We are customers trying to enjoy their meal and it is their job to let that happen. We felt very insulted. They ended up CHARGING us for the extra rice paper. I DONOT recommend this place.

Ridiculous. We pay to eat and we come to eat but once we asked for more rice paper for the shabu shabu dish(hot pot) the owner said«we can’t give more»…I don’t understand when restaurants say that but I told him you can charge me if needed but don’t ever tell me you can’t because 4 people can’t share total of 16 rice papers with 2 shabu shabu orders! It was just plain rude and unbelieveable! I do not recommend this place at all!

This place has been renovated into a much cleaner and creative dining place. Much better than before and fresher ingredients than most places.

This is a cute little place with a unique menu. The Hotpot is super delicious. You can even make your own phở. The snow ice and the boba make it an even better place. Will def. come back

Very friendly. Enjoyed the interior as décor was clean, green & welcoming. Informative intelligent signage within will please those new to Phở. Now to the food. As maybe you noticed by pen name I am newly trying to be vegan. This is not an easy task born and raised a meat eating bbq loving Texan. But I am trying. So Phở has become my saving grace. The extra challenge for me is I am unfortunately very sensitive to gluten. Neck and throat swells, ears itch inside, not pleasant. So as you can imagine, this vegan quest witth a gluten sensitivity is taking serious discipline. Why go vegan? Trying to be better, eat better, live better and in beginning 2nd week trying to Bee Vegan, my concentration, mood, and energy level have already improved significantly plus the headaches and insomnia are practically gone. Ok, forgive the rant. Back to the food. I mention the vegan attempts as Phở has been the best treat so far, it is hard(near impossible) to find Phở made with vegan friendly veggie broth. I must say tho, the chicken broth at PHOTAI was so amazing on It’s own, I nearly just filled up on the broth. I ordered the Phở Chay $ 8(P4) aka Vegetable Phở. The vegetable selection was unique with bok choy and shtaki mushroom. Snow peas, broccoli standard but the carrots in PHOTAI’s veggie phở were so sweet & fresh. The tofu was fried on all sides and served in just the right amount. Small supply of the bean sprouts, fresh basil & cilantro but servers are so friendly, serving as much more basil, sprouts & cilantro as you wish upon request. I also ordered the fried tofu spring rolls(A5) Goi Cuon Dua Hu $ 1.80 each. Had 3:) Wrapped in rice paper, inside are squares of fried tofu w/fresh basil & moist vermicelli. Very fresh, very satiating. They give you a large amount of peanut sauce with crushed peanut on top. I’m likely the only person on earth who doesn’t just love that sauce, but a lil dab of it suits me just fine so long as the chili paste is involved. They are serving srirracha instead of chili paste at PHOTAI which is still fine and the hoisin sauce w/the sriracha makes those spring rolls a treat i could eat daily. Had my first bubble tea slush. The Lychee flavor was delightful. I won’t get the bubbles aka bobo again tho as I was uncertain of gluten content. Wanted to try tho. Next trip back to PHOTAI will try Fresh PhoTai Wrap and Jasmine Green Tea. Yum. Go to PhoTai for a very affordable, fresh, stylish experience where servers are happy to answer questions and they take pride in their work which is very exciting and refreshing. Eating healthier is easy with PHOTAI.

wow, just WOW. This place really improved it self?! I never really liked this place. but the logo changed… so I decided to come back with my boyfriend to try it out again. We arrived and we saw this own veggie bar(cilantro, beansprouts, lime, etc) its not a sit down and wait for your waiter kind of service… you actually have to walk to the cashier, order, and then get a number for your table. No hassle. BASICALLY everything is self service. I tried the~ Grilled pork Banhmi I personally liked it, but my boyfriend said the bread wasn’t hard and crispy… but the way they made it was perfect for me. Super delicious! I love the sauce that came with it, but the only thing is the price… $ 5? urrrrr… pretty pricey but still worth the try. Phở Tai Grilled pork wrap(DIY spring rolls) Theres not usually a lot of places that do the DIY spring roll unless you buy a $ 40 fish. So Phở tai! good job on this idea. I loved it, but it does have a hint of korean to it.(tamoji, apples, beets, and pineapples.) It was still super good though. The con was the spring roll papers were MINI! so it was kinda frustrating to make the spring rolls… EITHER way still good. The meat comes in a small dish, but you can always get the meat extra.($ 3-$ 4) You should totally get this plate with EXTRAEXTRAEXTRA noodles if its a dinner party. This dish comes with a lot of paper and variety of veggies. I personally didn’t try the phở, just a spoon of soup… it was better then before. I’ll definitely come back and grab the phở tai wrap AND try the hot pot. The customer service was nice. There was only one worker, he basically was all over the restaurant cleaning, being the cashier, and trying to make the customers happy. Big thumbs up to the upgrade!

The restaurant is structured and decorated in such a cute/modernized way! The chairs are very uncomfortable to sit on while eating, but can’t complain about everything. The service was good, one of the cashiers came by and checked on us twice throughout our 2-hr meal. This restaurant is not structured to where there are servers serving you, you just order the food at the counter and they just bring it to you. Basically the only service you get, which is fine by me! I ordered the pork banh mi and it was just alright. Nothing out of the ordinary. The sandwich seemed a bit dry, but manageable with sauces that were provided. Recommendation: Green tea Snow ice!

For the location and what we ate I feel like meh is a good description. You could go to about 15 other places in this shopping center alone and most likely get something more flavorful. This place does stay open until 10 pm which is why we came. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls to share, egg roll vermicelli and a milk tea with pearls. The spring rolls are very small and mostly lettuce. The peanut sauce they come with is very thin and seems to be watered down. The vermicelli was good. Lots of fresh veggies with good crunch. I ordered my milk tea half sweet and it was perfect and the pearls were fresh. I tried the phở tai and a grilled pork bahn mi. The phở was lacking in flavor and the bahn mi was all bread! There was barely any meat on it and only a few veggies. I’m not sure about service since we just took a number and our food was brought to us. We got our own water, silverware, sauces, chopsticks and napkins. A few other reviews complain about it being lacking, so perhaps they have changed it up? I would come back for the cool noodle bowl, but that’s about it!

I came in around noon time and there was no one else here, which made me a bit worried but I’m glad I stayed. Since it was 65 degrees outside(too hot imo), I was in the mood for some cold vermicelli rather than phở. Overall, the food was good. I thought the crispy spring rolls were awesome, but the pork and the fish sauce mix was a little too sweet for me to the point I didn’t use much of it. I’ll have to come back to try their phở.
