My family and I ate at Nicos Cocina this evening. Service was quick. I did ask for a for watermelon frozen Margarita instead I received a cactus flavored. After our food was served, our server Elizabeth, was hovering over us trying to take our plates when we were not finished with our food. It looked like they were setting up for a party and we felt very uncomfortable that we were being rushed to leave. We did find decent parking. The gaming café is no longer there. I only gave Nicos three stars. Being rushed and getting my order wrong for a margarita. I doubt we will be back.

So far the best one yet. Waiters and waitresses are friendly and food is sooo good! Everything tastes fresh and housemade. Recommend! 5 Stars!

I’ve been to Nico’s countless times in the nine years that they’ve been doing business. There were ups and downs but mostly ups. That being said I have to say they are on track for being a straight up Tex-Mex restaurant. Not fancy-shmancy trying to be cutting edge but simply standing up for the cause. You don’t need any more than that. Call me weird but I’ll use their charro beans side as a weather vane. So many times they were at best ho-hum to just okay. On my last visit they were stunning! As was the rest of the meal. There’s a chef back there with heart. Service was always there keeping up with my needs. And friendly as well. Come to Nico’s and leave happy!

This place has great chips, queso & black bean dip. The wait staff was extremely nice & the draft beer was cold. I think I found my favorite Mexican food!

I decided to try this place after reading the reviews, and it was a good decision the food was great. I would definitely recommend the brisket tacos. The brisket was so flavorful. Also the aquas were excellent as well i had mango and the wife had horchata. It was new years so the waiters were really busy but mine mad it up to me by giving me some churros which were great. I would definitely come back next time i want mexican food.

Okay but not great. Service was good. Tex-mex was bland. Salsa was pretty tasty. Little on the pricey side based on the quality.

Delicious food. The Sunday buffet is a bit more pricey, but worth it if you’re looking to eat a lot! Very tasty. I would highly recommend the omelet station!

This is a nice little hidden Mexican food restaurant run by the owners. It has a bar with TVs and playground outside for the kids. The interior is typical of old school Mexican joints but still good enough to be comfortable. The food was fresh and the quality was higher than you would normally get for the price. Salsa was fresh and on the mild side. We tried several items and all we tasty. Way better than any of the big name Mexican restaurants. This would be the perfect place to bring the kids if it’s warm outside. Service on both of our visits could not have been better.

My favorite Mexican Restaurant! They have the best tasting salsa I have ever had! I usually get the enchiladas with tomatillo sauce and it is very flavorful! Service is also great! Very friendly staff. They could do better on the guacamole! But 4 stars well deserved!

This place had amazing guacamole! Terrific tortillas! The carne asada was grilled and seasoned to perfection! The staff was attentive and friendly! I’m so glad to find a non-chain Mexican place that has delicious food!

Amazing food! Everyone at my table loved the food and we’re food snobs so that says a lot! Overall I will be coming back here many more times! Could not recommend more!

Im really am a fan of their brunch! Their spread is actually better than Blue Mesa. It includes real mexican cuisine like menudo and fresh tortillas. And their happy hour is on weekdays and during brunch! Not to mention, their patio has a playground that my daughter adores. Service is friendly and attentive. It’s parking lot is full during weekends and there is definitely no valet. It’s a small shopping Plaza with lots of families shopping and eating.

It’s in the corner of a crowded little shopping center, but don’t underestimate this place! Very friendly service. Our food was brought to the table quickly and was outstanding. Prices are very reasonable. We are a family of five and each of us ordered different things and we were happy with what we ordered. The patio/playground combo is perfect for families with younger kiddos. We will definitely be back!

Went there for the first time and it was awesome! All of the employees were very friendly, literally everyone greeted us with a hello and welcome! The staff opened the doors, food was amazing! I got the chicken enchiladas! It was very good. But my favorite part was the playground! It is a great place to eat and hang out with the kids! I will for sure be back soon!

I’m not sure why people like this place so much. Nothing about this place stands out. I visited this place on Sunday night, and was way disappointed. The margaritas are NOTGOOD. Way overpriced. Try to spill some tequila in my cup, folks. Schooners of Shiner are 4.50, which was decent. They have a playground out back which is nice, but not enough to get me to go back. I would like to say, however, that our waiter was incredibly nice, a really sweet dude. All of the waitstaff was great. Too bad their food sucked.

Such great service! Our server, Carlos, was on top of his stuff. Always brought us water right when we ran out and extra napkins without us asking. We will definitely be coming here again. They have happy hour Monday thru Friday 3−7pm and a buffet on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Great place!

Great service, waiters are very friendly and want to make sure you have a great meal. When the weather is nice, they have an enclosed patio with a large playground structure so your kids can play and you have actually enjoy a couple drinks before eating!!! Food is good quality. I would compare it to Anamias food. Don’t let the location deter you! It’s tucked in a corner of a shopping center. I would have never known it was there if not by word of mouth.

I’ve only ever had their brunch which is great! Good brunch and good sopapillas! They stayed open for me on superbowl sunday when I wanted sopapillas. They were closing early but still honored my request! I’ll remember that!

Ordered a skinny margarita, confirmed with waiter that there was not sweet and sour in it, well there was, so I had horrible heartburn and stomach ache. We started with the chorizo queso Funido, it was amazing!!! The beef taco al carbon was amazing, beef was high quality. Brisket quesadillas were very dry, would not order it again. Tamale was good, nothing special. Ordered a chili rellano, but didn’t eat it due to the heart burn. It had huge chunks of chicken in it, and smelled amazing.
