Stopped by for lunch for the first time today and I really like the ambiance! It’s got a very comforting feel! The menu was a little overwhelming and I totally understand what everyone meant when they said no customer service, maybe i’m just used to cashiers who will walk me through if its my first time but instead I got a ‘So what’ll it be?’ It didnt phase me too much and I actually LOVED the food I got the margharita pizza and I only bought one slice because it was huge and I am stuffed, probably couldn’t have done a second slice if I tried! I only gave three stars because I’ve only had one slice from here and I’m gonna update this as I go back and try the salad and the pasta! All in all, delicious food quick service! I’m definitely going back!

I’ve been here a few times and it’s been a pretty decent experience. However, today I ran over on my lunch to grab one of their lunch specials: Any slice, salad and a drink. I ordered my pizza and salad and it came out missing jalapenos as I ordered and with the wrong dressing. I simply let the guy work working the register, whom I sincerely hope isnt«joe» because you would have thought I asked for the world on a silver platter. He shouted back one slice and a tossed salad, I said yes, but its missing jalapenos, well throw them into a cup and give them to her he shouted. Seriously? You couldnt have put them on my pizza and placed them back into the oven. You had to make me feel rude for asking you to correct the order you messed up? Needless to say I will never come back again. You lost a local customer because whomever was working your register today was RUDE.

If you want friendly service no this isn’t the place. I think this should be said because people should know what to expect when they are spending their money and decide if friendly service is important to them. That being said we were skipped over because I guess I wasn’t ready my friend was and she was paying for her own food. No biggie that was the extent of the rudeness. What most pizza places don’t have and that Joe’s has is pinwheels. There a place in far south of here that has them but I was glad to see them and ordered both types. They were equally delicious. I had a salad which was your standard fare for an Italian place. This place really isn’t in my normal lunch area I was just visiting our other office and it was close. I’ll be honest if i’m in the area again I’ll stop for pinwheels and this time I’ll know what I want.

Delicious food, great value and served quickly(smile extra!) what more could you want? I’ve tried the pizza by the slice, Pepperoni rolls, salads and the calzones, everything yes everything was truly tasty!

Food was awesome. I’m from New York, this place is outstanding. Out of all the places in Dallas this is the one to go to for great New York pizza pasta and more.

Awesome food! Tried a supreme pizza slice. Stromboli and grilled chicken salad. All on different days. And they all tasted really good. I’m from New York and I can tell when I eat good pizza. Even the size and quantity is pretty large. I believe the guy behind the counter at the register is Joe himself. And if you know who the soup natzi is, then let me tell you, Joe is the pizza natzi! Been here for lunch a couple of times. Definitely going to b back here more. Didn’t take pictures of the food because it looked soo good that I stuffed my face with it real quick.

I noticed a lot of the reviewers here are complaining about the customer service here. I’ve been to this place several times during the lunch rush, and my priority is focused on speed and food quality, rather than service, er, «friendliness». I can’t complain too much because they do a pretty good job. The owners here are from New York, I assume. The big guy everyone is talking about has that New Yorker accent, so it’s no surprise. And yes, we’re all used to that«Southern hospitality», but the owners here are from New York. The guy gets straight to the point without the useless chit chat. On my very first visit, I was thrown off guard when he’s just straight up asked loudly, «What you want?» I thought it was funny because it’s not what I was expecting, but he does his job at least. That’s all I care about. I never witnessed the guy blowing and sweating over the pizza, as what everyone is saying. If he is, that’s probably what makes the food taste so good! That is kind of gross though… Pizza slices are ginormous. I can get filled up with just one slice. I ordered 2 veggie slices and a drink for lunch today. I couldn’t get to the second slice, so it’s being eaten right now for dinner. I paid roughly $ 8 for my meal, which is not bad. I think their website needs to be updated because I thought I was getting the $ 6 special(that is, the 2 slices and a drink). Damn you, inflation!

This is very good. Ordered the stuffed shells. They were tasty. I really do not have any complaints. Will try it again . I am not sure about the thick pizza. Didn’t look like the pie that I like.

It was loud, busy and the lady behind the pizza area was polite. I had the Joe’s Grilled Chicken salad and there was water on the bottom of the plate. I shared the garlic knots which were kinda bland and chewy. Meh.

Foods decent, customer service SUCKS! They are rude and rush you! Called an order in and still had to go through line… so call-in is useless! Not sure how they keep business…

I eat here about once a week. It is not a knock your socks off kind of place, but it still is decent pizza and calzones. I’ve read a lot of posts about the big guy(lets call him Joe) and I can say they are all true. This guy looks like the school yard bully behind the counter, usually barking orders at someone and not a very big people person. I’m going to say that he actually works really hard, I never see him stopping and taking a break, but the dude looks like he knows his food. Be warned going in, if you don’t like watching a big sweaty guy work on your pizza, don’t come here… lol

First time here, arrived here at peak of lunch time on a Wednesday. The wall menu has a lot on it, so it was had to follow at first until you get your bearings. I was craving Lasagna so that is why I came here(and it’s close to work). BEWARNED: the lasagna portion is HUGE. For $ 6.99 I was expecting the usual 3″ square that you get at Olive Garden. Based on they assumption, I ordered a tossed salad first and some garlic cheese bread with the meal. When the lasagna arrived it was 3x the size I was expecting! It was delicious, but I was unable to finish it all. The food runners sent the food as soon as it came from the oven, so it was hot and fresh! I expect from a New Yorker-run Italian restaurant that the slices will be awesome, I will find out on a return trip.

OMG– Never again will I ever go in there… After ordering my food, I began to watch the very heavy set gentleman with the very weird looking hair, start to make a pizza. With no gloves, he wiped his head, checked on other pizza’s, moved some pizza slices around, and then went back to making the pizza, never washing his hands. When he was finished, he actually bent over and blew his breathe on the pizza dough to get it off the big pizza board. This is nasty and against the health code. Seriously? Get some gloves.

I called ahead of time to order. They confirmed on the phone. However whenever I got there, they said they don’t have enough slides for me. So I have to stand by n wait for them to prepare. Tens minutes later, they told me to order something else. No apologies. I have to call my boss to make her change her slides. Then ten minutes later, they finally took my order then wait for another ten minutes. There is no point of calling ahead

I would give this place 0 stars if possible. So I’m forced to give 1 star since 0 is not an option. I wouldn’t rather go eat a CiCi’s pizza before I ever go back to this place. First oft, don’t ever ever ever fax an order in and think they will actually get your order prepared before you get there. I faxed my order in at 11:27AM and got there at 12:06PM and they hadn’t even started preparing the order! Order was for a meeting and the guy at the register wanted me to wait another 10 mins for them to make it! All this place does is take an already cooked cheese pizza and add whatever toppings you want and recook it in there oven. Same with the calzones. They were taking a cheese one and reopening it and putting the toppings I order back inside and recooking it. This to me isn’t real cooking of pizza. If you like overpriced recooked pizza then this is your place. I rather go order a pizza from PaPa John’s or Pizza Hut that’s hot and fresh. Unless your getting a fresh slice of pizza from the counter area your getting a cold reheated slice of pizza.

Visited for lunch as I was wondering if they were any relation to a recent Joe’s in Grand Prairie or one I used to visit year’s ago in Hurst. Saw nothing that links them. oh well. :) Had the manicotti w/a side salad. Salad was pedestrian but not bad for just lettuce, tomato, black olives, and pepperocini. Manicotti was excellent. served piping hot and cheesy. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the bread that was to have accompanied it as it was not delivered to my table and I honestly was too lazy to bring it to their attention… maybe next time. It was a pleasant dining room. one thing I ask is that you get something to cover the windows. With the sun shining in like it was today, several tables were in direct sunlight and very hot to sit at as well as having the sun in your eyes which is not ever pleasant. All that said, I will return.
