Beware, do not go here. I HAVEWARNEDYOU. This place is disgusting. What ever happened to being clean and sanitary??? Not only were they rough and cut my finger but the same thing happened to the lady sitting next to me. I picked out a nail polish color that was running low and they mixed it with acetone because they didn’t have anymore of that color.

Guess I should of read the reviews of this place as well before I bought a groupon and so did my friend. We called and made an appointment for 2 mani/pedis. We showed up and she was working alone. As we did not want to spend the whole night in the salon we asked if she had help coming. She said yes. After about 30 minutes she advised us she didn’t. 30 minutes after that her next appointment showed up and she had JUST started working on the 2nd persons nails. No pedicures had even been started. After some discussion we agreed to just use the $ 20 groupon towards a shellac manicure. I asked if she could do a polka dot design on my nails. She said yes that wouldn’t be a problem. Lord I wish I would of known what I was in for. I had tons of black dots on my nails that had the polish run and smeared together. They looked TERRIBLE!!! And then she charged me an extra $ 10 to soak off the polish and get a design. Hello?! Is she blind?! She even said they looked awful but her next appointment was waiting. So I paid $ 30 total for her to royally screw up my nails and to go somewhere else down the road to have them fix it. I called to discuss a refund today and all she proceeded to do was yell at me. How is this MY fault? Will never go there again! Talk about a joke and money wasted. If you’ve bought the groupon previously they do have a complaint department, she needs to be removed from gropon.

Guess I should’ve read here before buying the AP Daily Deal for AA Spa Nails aka Lonestar Nails in Carrollton. She told me a couple weeks ago she took walk-ins. I went a couple of weeks after that and she said she had made an appointment from the time I’d called. until the time I drove up the streeet to get there, so she couldn’t see me. Frustrated at the lack of communication, I left. Only reason I came back was because I got a Groupon type deal. Went back and they started working on removing my shellac nails by putting cotton balls with polish remover on them wrapped in aluminium foil. Someone came in and said they had an appointment. She came back to me and asked my name an d if I had an appointment. I told her my name and that I did not. They just walked away from me without any conversation at all and started doing the mani/pedi’s of the other girls that had come in. I guess they didn’t have enough staff to do everyone there’s nails. So I wait for ½ an hour watching some REALLY old TV show and realize they’re putting me on hold and not going to address it, just going to do those other girls first. So, an hour after leaving me sitting there, they put me in the spa chair to do my pedicure. Girl was going back and forth b/w me and girl sitting next to me. She then put acetone cotton balls on my toes and kept working with the other girl. My fingers have now been in that state for 1 hour, too, She made the chair work and started on my toenails. Something at work started falling apart and I had to handle that. She didn’t do a lot of massage or extra work. Could be the language barrier. She did a good job with my nails. Then, instead of having the girl come do my nails while getting my pedi done, they had me move over to her station so she could start on my manicure. I’ve now had those fingernail polish remover pads with aluminum foil and gloves over my hands for 2 hours. They’re all pruny looking now. She charged me for that service. Anyway, she started doing my nails and hurt my cuticles. I said ow and pulled back my hand. She kept going to the next one. I finally looked at her and said you’re hurting me. She backed down some. I did bleed a little. It hurt. Not fun. The 2 shellac lights she has on her desk are wrapped in aluminum foil. I wonder if they’re properly sanctioned? There were ceiling tiles falling in and the place looked a little old and tired. She did a great job painting my nails and the nail art. I was happy with the way my nails looked, but that’s about it. I normally go to Serenity Nails which is a little higher, but soooooo much better.

They are so friendly, nice and inexpensive here. It is not in the nicest area but I will keep coming here because they treat me Nicely and always do a great job, and the price can’t be beat anywhere.

I wished I read reviews on this place before purchasing the groupon for a manipadi for $ 20. I booked my appointment, I arrived on time and the ladies there seem pretty friendly. One of the ladies started with pedicure. She did a good job with my toes and she seemed careful too do to the fact my toes are sensitive. The other lady did my manicure and I’m not happy with it at all! First she cut too close to the edge and cut my fingers. i did a french and she didnt line up the nail part right and looked crooked. She was on the phone half the time and didn’t pay attention to what she was doing, I accidentally bushed my one finger against the towel which caused it to smudge. She started getting all annoyed and didn’t really do anything to fix it. she didnt even offer discount for the cut fingers! it was like no big deal for her! On top of that she had the nerve to ask for tip. HA not from me! I’m not going there again.

I bought the Groupon. I couldn’t find the place at first because it is inside a large shop separated into suites. No biggy. Got to the suite for AA Spa Nails and it is a space not much larger than my walk-in closet. It had two pedicure chairs and a mass of other stuff inside. Still not a big issue. I have to awkwardly climb into one of the chairs. And I get comfortable. Then I see the woman grab a bottle of 409. She sprays the foot tub and grabs what looks to be a dish brush and starts scrubbing the tub while I am sitting there. Now I have no problem with cleanliness. But I don’t believe it is appropriate to wait until your client shows up and sits down to clean. And with 409!!! There was no one in the shop before I got there. No reason not to have everything cleaned already. I didn’t end up using the Groupon. I can’t review her services because I didn’t partake in them. However, the environment along with sub-par practices led me to leave.

Okay, is it just me or does Hannah email her old clients? Up to this day, I still stand by my review, and she’s still emailing me about how my review was untrue. I had written a review of how my experience went, and she wishes bad things upon me. If she is on Unilocal!and wants me to write a thorough review(whereas I was being vague on the first one), then I shall update my old review. 1. On her website, she didn’t specify that she was a one-man(in this case, one woman) show; therefore, when I booked an appointment for three people, it was three weeks away, and even then, she didn’t specify that(at the time that I booked my appt). 2. Her salon’s hours of operations were different from her hours of operation. When I made the appt, I was wondering why she made it so late, but I was still grateful that she put me in for three people. So the day of the appointment, she called me 2 ½ hours prior to my appointment, saying that I could come in whenever I want b/c her 6pm appt cancelled. 3. My sisters and I compared notes on their(her friend’s and her) qualities, and it was pretty bad. Her friend’s work was not great, but she was honest to me. She spoke to me and wasn’t standoff-ish. My pedicure was okay, my manicure was horrible b/c she didn’t soak my nails long enough to clip my cuticles. My toes nails and nails had fuzz on them because of the cotton that she had used(when they should use a brush) to clean the sides. My sisters’ experiences with Hannah was almost the same. Just that Hannah clipped them a lot of times on their pedicures and manicures. And yes, they both bled. Up to this day, she still emails me. The most recent one ended with a, «Your review is untrue… you’ll wait&see.» Is this a threat? I mean, it’s just a review. It’s up to one to make a decision to treat it as constructive or destructive criticism. And evidently, she took the destructive route. My review is just an OPINION; just so happen that others have the same OPINION about her work as I do. Does that mean others’ reviews are lies as well? Prospective clients: If you don’t want to be bothered, constantly through email or phone by her if you happen to not like her work, then I DEFINITELY would NOT go to this place. And now, she’s using my name to give herself a better rating. GIVEITUP!

I bought a deal on living social and I wish I would’ve saved my money! The place is really tiny and cramped. I sit down for a manicure and she starts working on my nails then she starts pushing my cuticals back… this is without soaking my nails first so it didn’t feel good. I asked if she was going to soak them and she said later. She proceeded to put the shellac on my nails and it looked like a little kid painted my nails, it was lumpy and unevenWhen I pointed out something wrong she immediately blamed me for why it looked like it did, I had to ask her several times to fix it. Then she started to do what she should’ve done in the beginning without soaking my nails still and at the end she dips a brush in water and wipes down my nails… I mean seriously I could’ve done that myself and make it look better than that! I don’t recommend this place to anyone… what a waste of time and money! Horrible plain horrible!

I bought a Living Social deal for Shellac nails and had a HORRIBLE experience to say the least. The salon was difficult to find and the owner was hard to understand. She was not gentle and hurt my hands pretty badly. I have a high pain tolerance, and I still flinched a few times. She destroyed my cuticles and left bumps in the polish. I got a white tip French manicure and the tips were not straight or did not line up with my natural nails. They also started chipping or completely coming off the next day! Aren’t Shellacs supposed to last at least 10 days?! I did my own toenails with regular French tip nail polish, and they have lasted longer than what this lady put on my nails!!! I wish I could get a refund including the generous tip I left her. The only cool thing about this salon was being able to watch whatever I wanted on Netflix for an hour. It didn’t help the pain, though.

Bought the Groupon. Yes, the location/set up is odd. The owner works on her own in a small room with just the 2 of you and not much room for anyone else. So in that respect, it’s not what I’m used to. But I’ll focus on the service. I feel I got my groupon’s worth. The owner was friendly and tries to do her best with what she’s working with. My Mani-pedi was probably on par with anything I’ve ever had done in California(they are quicker, less massaging and that, but also cheaper). For the price I paid, I’m content. My nails look good. But if you’re used to the huge nail spas around North Dallas with the 20+ pedi chairs and glass of wine, you should pass.
