I dream of these breakfast burritos. Nothing fancy, it is primarily a liquor store after all. But the breakfast burritos are exactly what all breakfast burritos should be but that so few are. their regular burritos are okay, but they don’t quite satisfy that same craving. Everyone who works here is so kind, they make the whole experience easy and quick. Make sure to actually get here in the morning though-I’m not totally sure what their cut off time is, but they do stop serving breakfast around noon!

The best place on the planet for a burrito! Carne asada nachos are the best kept secret. The green salsa is the right combo of flavor and kick! An amazing go to stop in Carp!

I ordered the taco plate with beans and rice. The service is fast and my order was prepared well. Patrons have the option to dine inside the establishment or have a take away box. Beach liquor is a combination of a liquor store and a hot deli.

The other reviews aren’t joking… You’d never guess that a liquor store would have some of the best burritos. We got the carne asada burritos and my boyfriend was bummed he didn’t get another for later in the night. Definitely going to have to make this a regular stop when passing through Carpinteria

Driving through Linden Ave in Carpinteria, you would never imagine that this liquor store has the best breakfast burritos in town! They used to have the best salsa but they changed the recipe! The salsa is still good though, don’t get me wrong! I would definitely give this place a try if you’re craving a GOOD breakfast burrito!

First time even writing a bad review. Paid $ 30 for 6 chicken tacos because I have kids that wanted just cheese and chicken with a small side of sour cream. Seems really expensive for tacos out of back of a liquor store. Maybe the burritos are better but the cashier was not helpful or friendly. The cook was nice and the food was ok just way over priced. Next time we will try the two taco shop across the street.

Awesome tortas! Not your typical fast food place seeing that it’s in a liquor store but their food is awesome.

One could make the argument that Beach Liquor serves some of the best breakfast burritos in town. The potatoes they put in their burritos have an almost mashed potato like consistency, which I feel gives it its flavor(the salt content in them is balanced). My one knock if any is the type of cheese they use, I prefer cheddar rather than jack. All in all, a good breakfast burrito.

I had the chili verde burrito with rice and beans. It was HUGE! Very good! $ 8 Also ordered a vegetarian burrito and was excellent! Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! A good place to get lunch and head to the beach!

This place is great! You would never expect to get great tasting food from a liquor store, but Beach Liquor knows what is up! I highly recommend their chorizo and egg burrito, their quesadilla with carne asada, or the torta. All are delicious! They recently added room to sit inside, which is nice as we are always on the road when we stop in here. No more having to eat and drive! Also, their prices on everything else in the store are fairly reasonable. If you are craving a breakfast burrito or just some delicious and filling food, go to Beach Liquor!

Read their reviews on winning the best burrito competition and had to try it. The Machaca Carnitas breakfast burrito was excellent. I got to try to lunch menu as well. This is the definition of a great hole in the wall you would drive 10 miles for to eat at.

what a discovery. amazing breakfast burritos hidden in a liquor store. usually breakfast burritos leave me full of poo, but these burritos felt lighter and didnt make me hate myself afterwards. they also open really early, so if you’re an early bird like me, its great. Update – I went back weeks later for a regular carne burrito. Big mistake. It sucked. Don’t get the regular burritos. The breakfast burritos are the best.

Really good food, one of those, you have to just trust the Unilocal reviews… and they were right! We got burritos there and brought them to island brew and enjoyed a great relaxing and tasty meal!

How to be a boss: First, find someone that will be your witness. Then grab a couple breakfast burritos to-go. Next, take your newly purchased tortillas filled with treasure to the bluffs and find a cozy spot. Once coziness is achieved, offer a burrito to your witness. VERYIMPORTANT! As you peel back the wrapper of your burritoful mass, say«cheers» calmly(don’t be overly excited… remember, you are a boss) and gingerly touch the tip of the gifted burrito with yours. **BONUSBOSSACTION** Call ahead and have them flavor bombs ready to snatch up right when you walk in and set the old-school door sensor ringing.

This used to be my favorite place to go in Carp a few years ago, and you could smell the sweet smoke of the carne asada from blocks away. A burrito with meat is now over seven bucks as opposed to the 5.35 or whatever of a few years ago, but I understand that prices go up. What bothers me though is that the chicken that they use is very different and not nearly as good as it used to be. They use some kind of lemon marinade now and it just doesn’t do it for me. Their carne asada is still probably the best burrito in Carp, but I pine for the days of the former chicken. And for those who have never been there, it is literally just a liquor store that happens to have really good Mexican food. There are a few plastic tables and chairs if you don’t what your food to-go.
