We have used Rainbow since our oldest way a year old, and our second started there when he was 12 weeks old. Amazing facility, kind staff, and WONDERFUL owners(Karen and Jim). They also have the«After Zone» for school age kids — a separate facility geared towards the likes and needs of school students. It’s all awesome. I wish I could hang out there instead of going to work. They’ve been around for almost 30 years, and their reputation only gets better…

My sons have attended Rainbow since my eldest was 12 weeks old, so we are going on almost three years. When we were expecting our first, we searched all over for quality child care and heard of Rainbow from some of husbands’ coworkers. We used to live a little over 20 miles away but thought that the long commute with a little one in tow was worth it. When we moved a year ago(still a 20 mile commute), we continued to send the boys to Rainbow because, again, we searched and determined that it offered the most, particularly when the cost differences were figured in. We feel that our children are well cared and well adjusted. Here is a quick list of what we like about Rainbow that we didn’t find at the other centers we visited: 1. The teachers are WONDERFUL. The boys love them. We love their energy and the care and feedback they provide. 2. The space is wonderful. The rooms are clean, neat, and cater to the children’s activities. We love the bakery and bistro area, the theater, and multipurpose room. It is so great that even on a bad weather day, the kids can run around in the gym and burn off some energy. 3. There are more classrooms. For example, where most centers have one room for infants, Rainbow has a Caterpillar room for the littlest ones until they are moving around pretty well(about 8 months for my boys). This room is mostly quiet with sleeping babies and bottles and baby food. The Wobbler room is next and things pick up a bit. The babies start eating more table food and the layout is more for cruising and walking. I like that my sons are surrounded by other kids doing the about the same skills so they aren’t getting run over or are held back by littler ones. 4. They make special occasions special. Summer is a blast with summer camp activities, theme weeks, and water play days. Holiday parties are fun and festive with Santa visits, hayrides, etc. For birthdays, they offer a party pack with cupcakes or ice cream and a special event(a big bouncy-bounce for the class to jump in) to celebrate. My 3-year old LOVES when his friends have birthdays. 5. Lots of extras — they have someone come in to give haircuts, a photographer comes in a few times a year, the food is homemade and really good… I could go on and on. 5. Finally, while I have this numbered«5» it may be the most important to me. The owners really care. When you send your kids to Rainbow, it’s like you become part of the family. I just can’t say enough(hence the super long review).

My son attends preschool here. They are highly recommended. The teachers they hire are all very well educated and really love taking care of children. I have never had a complaint with them. They take good care of my son and that is most important.
