Trichology Salon

I found the salon to have a peaceful atmosphere. The stylist Becca Quillen gave me a great no fuss hair cut, just like I asked. I highly recommend both the stylist and the salon.

I am very happy with my experience at Trichology. I have been seeing Rachel for a few months now. I have very thick, coarse blonde hair, and go for highlights every other month. Rachel is the first stylist I’ve had in a long time who actually LISTENED to what I wanted. Many stylists just give me the style they think I would want, rather than what I actually ask them to do. Rachel takes the time to color my hair carefully — she doesn’t mind taking a little extra time to do the job right, rather than just getting me in and out for her next client. All the staff at Trichology are very personable and friendly. Rachel is the only stylist I’ve seen there, and would definitely recommend her for any color work you might want. She also gives great haircuts! I wanted something low-​maintenance that I could easily pull into a ponytail, but that I could style on the weekends if I wanted to. I’ve never been disappointed.

I recently visited this salon for the first time, and it will be the last time. I decided to try this place out after I saw a Groupon and purchased it. The Groupon was to be for a cut, style and conditioning treatment. My appointment was scheduled for 3:00pm. I arrived @ 2:55 and the receptionist told me my stylist Kelli was running «a few minutes behind » A few minutes turned into 75 minutes before I was taken back. Kelli washed my hair, did not condition it. She quickly cut it, attempted to dry it and flat iron my bangs. I left with half of my hair not styled, still wet, and no conditioning treatment. The receptionist was very unprofessional yelling across the salon at Kelli the entire time I was there. They were arguing about the music that was playing. The receptionist also made some racist remarks. I called the salon Monday to speak with the Manager about my experience. I never received any response. from the Manager after phone calls and emails. I can now see why the employees behave the way they do. The Management is a joke, the salon is a nothing more than a overprice Great Clips.

If I could give zero stars, I would! I went to Kelli at this salon for highlights and a cut/​style in my blonde hair. She proceeded to put in some horrible coppery brown color with a few blonde highlights on top. I had told her specifically that I did not want any dark color. It looks terrible and striped. I asked them to redo it, and was told no by the owner of the salon. I cannot recommend this salon.

I booked an appt with Elena because of all the rave reviews and it was one of the only salons that could fit me in quickly. The space was rather small and empty and Elena was very nice. Everything was pretty much great except my haircut.
I explained that I wasn’t sure what I wanted but have been growing out my shorter layers all year and wanted something very low maintenance, something I could just blow out. Then I showed her a picture of a very long layered cut.
She seemed to get it, but then proceeded to give me the same shorter layers that I had waited all year to grow out. She seemed to have her own vision for what looked good on me. I regretted leaving it up to her discretion. My hair is a little wavy but not coarse. She was convinced that it was very coarse and tried to sell me a keratin treatment. I asked my friends who have had it done and they absolutely did not think I needed it. Even when she was describing my hair it seemed like she was constantly missing the mark. Then she charged me just a little more than was advertised. All in all I paid $ 60. Incredibly not worth it.
The one thing I did appreciate though was she took the time to show me how to style my hair. That was very nice. The experience was fine but I couldn’t get over how much I paid and how much I hated my cut. Sorry.

This place is very small!
If you are looking for an upscale salon experience, this is not your place. BUT, if you are looking for a reasonably priced good cut and color, come here! I went to Shawnett when I could not get in at Salon 01. I wanted to go dark dark (but not black), and Shawnett created the perfect color for my hair! While I don’t remember anything special about the cut, I do remember the dye lasting a very long time, and maintaining a rich and vibrant hue.

I came here 2 years ago to get my hair cut, and I still remember it being awesome! I was staying in Carmel for the summer and thought this place looked the best based on their website. I don’t remember who I had, but she did a fantastic job! When she washed my hair, she even gave me a couple minute head and shoulder massage! The place was very cute, and all the ladies inside were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a new salon.
