This store has been shut down. I visited the storefront today and the place was completely empty. Oddly enough, there is no mention of their disappearance on their website or social media.

If you are a fan of loose leaf tea, then TeaBuds Brewing offers a nice selection of some unique and flavorful combinations, as well as the standard varieties. One of the things that I appreciated the most, was that they did have small jars that contained a bit of the tea to smell. Beyond selling loose leaf teas, they also have have a small selection of baked goods that you can enjoy while drinking a single cup of your choice of tea, coffee, or even a bubble tea. The bubble tea, is surprisingly gluten free, as the Tapioca bobas don’t contain wheat in the flour mixture. The shop, while small, offers a handful of tables to sit at enjoy your purchases. There are a couple table outside the shop as well if the weather is nice. Overall, it is a great place to get tea while supporting a local business as well.

I find their hot and cold teas to be very solid and the rest of my family loves the bubble teas. My biggest complaint is that they never seem to be consistently open for me to buy their teas. Pre-work tea, closed. After work tea, closed. Saturday early evening bubble tea, closed. Afternoon Sunday iced tea, closed. If I knew they had consistent hours for somebody who has a day job, they would get more of my money.

Walked by many times, finally tried it. They may have standard boba but our bubble teas had the bursting bubbles. I enjoyed it, just wish it were twice as big! My wife and I got different flavors and i ended up preferring her Taro flavored tea more than my strawberry flavored kiwi bubble tea. Nice cute little tea shop with plenty of individual teas and accessories to purchase. I only wish there were better parking in the area.

Excellent variety of loose leaf teas, syrups, and tea drinking accessories! Staff is extremely helpful and patient with even the most inexperienced customers. My daughter and I love to stop in for bubble tea too. Great place!

A beautiful array of teas and a singularly delicious almond chai latte. Nice snacks and bottled sodas too. The atmosphere makes me feel so welcome.

If you’ve ever had authentic bubble tea, this place is a huge disappointment. And on top of it, the staff is rude. Would not recommend.

I walked in and was greeted with a cheerful«What terrific cup of tea may I brew for you today?» Theere are two walls full of cannisters labeled and arranged in colored categories to let you know if it is a green, herbal, or black tea. To help you make your tough choice a bit less difficultt, there are glass sample jars you can smell to help you make your pick. In addition to loose leaf, there is boba tea to choose from. Need your tea fix during the week? Go for the buy 8 ounces and receive 1 free. The owner was very generous in his rounding of measurement. My only complaint is they are only open on Saturdays during the weekend, and there are many a times Teabuds comes to mind on Sunday.

TeaBuds is such a cute little shop, the staff is friendly, and they have a fantastic selection of teas and beverages. A friend and I stopped in here to chat and tried bubble tea and it was delicious. Love it!

Love this little place. Tons of loose leaf teas to choose from, but my favorite is the bubble tea. Sure, it’s more«novelty style» than authentic, but with all of the tea flavors and bubble combos you can make yourself a really yummy drink. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to meet a friend, get some work done, or just pick up something to go if you need a fix. I stop by whenever I’m in the area!

We stopped in for iced tea after a long(and hot) day outside at the art festival in old town Carmel. My primary complaint was with the person preparing our drinks. The tea itself was fine, but the individual preparing the drinks was sweating profusely behind the counter, and that was a little scary to see. I didn’t detect any human sweat in my tea, thankfully, but I was getting a little nervous. Anyway, aside from that situation, it’s not a bad little boutique tea shop.

I’m a bit torn, hence the 3 star review. Authentic boba, milk tea, snow bubble, etc. this is not. So if that’s what you’re looking for you will be sorely disappointed here. This is more a western style tea house that also happens to serve their take on bubble tea. That being said, the flavor of the drinks isn’t bad per se. If you’ve never had bubble tea you will probably like what you get. I read reviews on the bad customer service here and did not experience the same thing. Ironically, good flavor but because it’s not what I usually crave I’ll probably get boba elsewhere. Though I may come here when I’m in the mood for their faux boba drinks.

Big miss If you’ve never had authentic bubble tea this might be the novelty place for you. That being said, the staff is rude and clueless. The tapioca is small and tasteless. For the $ 5 price tag I’ll burn the gas money and go to Skokie, IL.

Stopped in here while walking around the arts district in Carmel. I have never had boba tea before and decided to share a drink with my hubby. We decided to try almond flavored boba tea with cherry bobas. It was pretty good! I’m not sure boba tea is my thing but my husband really enjoyed it and I’m giving myself an A for effort for trying it!

I have wanted to check this place out for quite some time. During my recent self-proclaimed«Discover Carmel» adventures, I decided it was finally time to pull the trigger. The location in the Arts & Design District gave me an extra excuse to see what this man made fantasy of a «small town» village was all about. On first hearing TeaBuds Brewing I have to admit that my first thought was: «oh! Tea-infused beer? Brilliant! Yes!» Not that the actual tea brewing, bubble teas and sweets was a let down — just not what I expected upon first hearing the name. Thanks to the reviews of fellow Unilocalers I didn’t walk in blindly. Instead, I found a spot at the window, tapped into their fast wifi and tipped back a coconut green tea with tapioca. Mmmm one of the best I have ever had. The ordering process allows you to pick a base tea, followed by flavors and tapioca/boba/pearls. My review would be lacking if I didn’t mention the vast selection of tasty sweets and quiches. Think red velvet cookies, scones, etc. I fought the urge knowing that I was about to head to a gut-punching spin class, but next time, next time, dear reader…

This place is adorable. The name alone welcomes you in and with comfy seating areas, you not only feel at home, but it’s terrific for people watching. I always order their Bubble Tea. You can choose from a variety of flavors and tea bases. I switch between black and green tea base, but for some reason can not and will not switch up my go-to flavors of strawberry and vanilla. So good every time! I also get the tapioca beads at the bottom. Some people think this is disgusting and quite honestly when you watch people try to suck them up the wide straw you’re given, it is sometimes hard to watch. That’s why they have utensils people! Cute place, great people, try a Bubble Tea!

This is a pretty cool tea shop on the main corridor of the Arts & Design District in Carmel. What I love about it is you can smell all the dried tea leaves on the back shelf before buying. Also, they serve bubble(boba) teas. The lone worker was very friendly and our orders came out lightning fast.

The BEST Chai bubble tea I have had in Indy! The tea was freshly brewed, so it took a little longer but it was totally worth it. The flavor and texture of the bubbles was perfect… they were not bland, and not too chewy either. If you’re a student, you get a discount. The price is a little steep…$ 4.99 without the discount, but the tea is very high quality and I can only imagine what the rent is like to be in «historic»(haha) downtown Carmel. In addition to selling prepared tea, coffee, and bubble tea, a selection of loose leaf teas, glassware, and tea accessories are sold. There are handmade crafts like jewelry, journals, soap, and knitted items. If you’re not into traditional tapioca bubbles in milk tea, they have the fruit-flavored capsules with fruit teas.

Bubble tea with popping bobas? Yes, they have that. The bobas come in a variety of burst in your mouth flavors. They kind of remind me of ikura(salmon roe, used in sushi) but minus the salty ocean flavor. You can choose between three teas(I go green). You then choose your base flavor(s). Then you choose traditional tapioca pearls, the popping pearls or a nice selection of jellies. The final product is refreshing and flavorful. Rejuvenating. Best bubble tea in all of Indy, by far. In the cold display case, I highly recommend the locally sourced cake pops and chicken pot pie to take home and heat up for dinner. The wiscuits(waffle+biscuit) look very good. The interior is cozy and attractive with a ton of loose tea that takes up the entire back of this beautiful store. The variety of tea is intimidating, at first. Delve in, delight in the blends and concepts.

«This might sound like a strange question… but would you like to eat your tea?» was the question from the guy at the register after I selected the Apple Orchard flavor tea. I highly recommend you say yes… the tea was delicious, and by the time I finished drinking it, the dried apple pieces softened. Mixed with the spices and nuts, it was like eating a little dessert after drinking my tea. Also worth mentioning are the adorable cups they have for sale, in addition to the wide variety of loose tea which you can smell(displayed in small jars under the respective tins) to make your selection. The interior is bright and colorful, a good place to sit down with your book to sip a cup(or pot) of tea on a cold day.
