Let me start by saying I love Piada and visit them whenever I can. The food was as expected here. Very good! Restaurant is always clean. One area of concern is the language barrier with the people preparing the food. I said no very politely to cucumbers four times… Ugh. No and yes are as close to universal in language as it gets… Not many variations. Beyond that little incident the food is still top notch and a good value.

Piadas here are so tasty. This isn’t your kids Italian(unless they are a bit adventurous). The salmon is so good. I make a salad for a healthier option but everything is fresh and delicious. Their take on breadsticks is just so so but get the wrap or build a salad.

Ok. They recently lowered their prices, which is great because before it was over priced hype.

What a great concept! Piada reminds me a lot of Chipotle in setup. You choose your piada(basically like an Italian burrito), pasta, or salad by picking a grill item(mostly meats), sauce, and toppings, or pick one of the pre-chosen combos. Go through the assembly line and tell them what you want, and voila. I’d never had a piada before, so I had to get one(a vegetarian one) and it was delicious. My mom really loved her pasta. It wasn’t busy when we went in, but I was still impressed by the speed! Great value and great experience.

Great food! The subway of Italian food. Meaning fast delicious and made to order. They should let you know the specials but other than that it was very good and unexpected.

This is a great place when you want Italian food(that actually tastes like Italian food) fast! I go here at least once a week. I like their pasta the best. They have so many toppings and don’t nickel and dime you for everything. I’ve heard rave reviews about the lobster bisque and calamari. I’m not a seafood person. The only reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars is the service. Most of the time they are friendly and organized and great! But there is one manager that as soon as I see him, I know the service will be crappy, food not super fresh, and a long wait. So once they get the staffing figured out, it will be a 5 star place.

Good, fast food. I like the idea of Italian on the go — a concept I haven’t come across before. When I went, I got the calamari piada which was delicious! I wouldn’t have changed the chef’s menu at all. It had a good balance of crunch and spice. Know that this isn’t five star dining when you go, but a quick filling meal with an Italian flair.

It wouldn’t be too far off base to suggest that a piada is not unlike a burrito, in that they both consist of a flat bread wrapped around filling. The similarities stop there, though, and fortunately, the piada is its own enjoyable food that I had never tried before, but I’m glad I did. I got the steak piada, which came with their house diabolo sauce. I guess I should have read closer before ordering, because the sauce was spicy!(Diabolo = devil … duh. I should have known.) The steak was good, and the tortilla-like wrap it came in was delicious. I could just eat that by itself with a little butter. I also ordered their garlic dough, which is basically the wrap sprinkled with cheese, spices, and drizzled with olive oil. That was OK, but a little too salty for my tastes. To continue with the Mexican food comparisons, the garlic dough tasted like a salty quesadilla. So there you go. I’ll definitely be back to try a few other items on the menu!

Where, oh where has this been all my life? One visit and I’m already kinda hooked. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect upon walking into Piada… all I knew was that Italian street food sounded very intriguing. Piada has a very modern vibe and is an upscale chain place with a fast and efficient, yet refined atmosphere. Usually this correlates to priciness, but in this case, not really… it was pretty inexpensive, actually! My mom and I both ordered the carbonara bowl and my dad had one of the other pasta bowls. We were all very pleasantly surprised at how good they were… fresh, healthy ingredients and loads of authentic Italian flavor. Places like this are so much better than the Italian places that just serve dingy, greasy pizza and spaghetti… neither of which you will find here, by the way. The bread that comes with the bowls was good also, but a little too heavy on the garlic. Perhaps the best part of the meal was the cheesy, bready goodness that was the piata roll. It. Was. Heavenly. In fact, it was so good that once we finished eating our main entrees, we had to go back and get another one.(And some canolis to boot!) To put it short, I’ll be back… fairly cheap, delicious food and good service.

Fresh, quick, and perfectly street Italian! Piada has become a favorite in our household and I love how it’s such a different take on fast food. We had some friends in town and knew that lunch at this spot would be the perfect option, and it was! I finally tried the«make-your-own» regular pasta bowl and was not disappointed in my choices. They have such enticing options and everything goes very well together. The Piada sticks are another fine choice. We ordered the pepperoni and loved it! AND, not to mention, they have Italian sodas!

The best Italian food I’ve had in a very long time! The pasta carbonara with the grilled chicken is delicious, highly recommend this restaurant!

Chicken pasta carbonara is a very fresh dish. Setup like a fast casual restaurant(chipotle style) fairly fast and still tasty. Seems as though the menu is pretty limited. Make sure you grab a few peppermints because the garlic will wreak havoc on your breath.

Piada Italian Street Food is a great concept, executed beautifully. It differs from the usual Italian restaurants up here by limiting the menu to dough, pasta, and wraps. So don’t go looking for an Italian Beef or pizza; it ain’t here. What is here is great. I got a piada with calamari, which is pretty much a wrap with lettuce, parmesan and peppers. The calamari was crispy and warm, and went very well with the creamy sauce on the inside(the website says creamy parmesan but I’m convinced it was something spicier). The wraps they use are much thinner than I’ve noticed elsewhere, which means it stays out of the way regardless of what you put on it: veggies and calamari, or cheese. Combine this with some unique drink options, and overall you have the perfect place for a light lunch.

I can’t believe Boston doesn’t have a place like this — I can’t imagine anything better than an Italian style Chipotle! The menu is simple and concise, yet it offers flexibility to anyone who wants to get creative and build their own meal. I created my own Steak Piada and put diavolo sauce, spinach, sweet and spicy peppers, Parmesan cheese and pancetta in it. Even though I ate it a couple hours after it was made, it was better than any chipotle burrito that I’ve eaten. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Carmel!

It’s Italian Chipotle. Chipotle isn’t really my thing so this place isn’t really my thing either. There’s nothing wrong with the food per se, but there’s nothing extraordinary either. You select what you want with some ability to customize ingredients and toppings and they assemble it for you. It’s fast and the price is reasonable and worth checking out.

Upon first impressions Piada reminded me of Chipotle. The feel of the restaurant is casual chic. You order behind a glass counter which allows for transparency in your food preparation. Everything was extremely clean and organized throughout the entire place. You have three entrée choices: piada, pasta bowl, of a chopped salad. The Piada is a rolled, stone grilled wrap. You have the option to create your own or choose from their list of flavor combinations. It’s an incredible value for the price and you won’t be disappointed by the quality of the ingredients. I will definitely be back to try other menu items.

I visited here for the first time on a weekday lunch hour and they were busy with a line to the door but it moved quickly. The pasta carbonara I ordered was delicious and definitely a large portion for the regular size. They offer a smaller size for about two dollars less. It came with a tasty piece of garlic dough and I devoured it as well. My lunch date had the breaded calamari piada(huge!) and it was delicious and had fresh ingredients inside and some sort of tasty spicy dressing. Staff greet you upon arrival and you can add extra fillings to your item at no additional charge. The dining area is dimly lit and decorated very well. They also offer a small outside patio. The only negative I have is the music, as it can get quite loud in the dining room. As in, I feel like I am at a dance club(all Lady Gaga music on one visit) and can barely hear the person across from me. I feel this music just doesn’t match the restaurant type. Tips: A free drink is offered with a Unilocal check-in. Try their own Italian orange soda. It’s delicious!

Being familiar with the Italian Street Food concept I was really excited to hear about Piada(thank you, my Unilocal friends!) and was happy to try it. There is an Italian Street Food restaurant in another city that I LOVE. So I had high hopes for street food close to my house. Service was quick and efficient. The employees were friendly and the dining room was attractive. Parking is plentiful but it is a very busy lot next to Earth Fair so heads up in the parking lot while walking to the door. I ordered a veggie pasta bowl. There weren’t choices for pasta, only angel hair was offered. I was hoping for fusilli or rotelle like I get at the other Italian Street Food restaurant. The pasta, however, was excellent. It was perfectly cooked and tasty. The grilled vegetables were cooked just right. I tried the red sauce and then chose from a large selection of toppings. Now this is where I became disappointedin the quality of the food. The«fresh» vegetables weren’t all fresh-tasting. In particular the mushrooms tasted old-ish and the taste of the artichokes was somehow off. Trust me: I love both mushrooms and artichokes and eat them on or in everything and these just weren’t good. The other fresh veggies(and I tried nearly all of them) were all right but somehow lacked flavor. The peppers were a little watery and the ripe olives were kind of tasteless. I love the concept and will return to try some of the other selections and sides.

Wow this place is seriously a great meal. Plan to spend around $ 10 for your meal but after you stomach that price you can move on to exploding your taste buds. Fresh, fast, Italian street food is the name of the game and until I ate here I had no idea what that meant. It means awesome Italian style burritos(called Piadas), flavor busting simple pasta dishes(with thin angel hair style pasta) and great salads. I highly recommend the Steak Piada, which features awesome steak, a spicy red sauce, a light caesar sauce and some veggies. To-die-for. Highly recommend this spot for lunch or dinner, just wish it was a tad cheaper so I could frequent there more often.
