I love Lowes. However, I will not use their installed services any longer. I had a bare kitchen and contracted them for cabinets, counters, and flooring. We started the project in June 2015 and it’s still not 100% complete. The managers were good at fixing items at first but now they have slacked off because every contractor has messed up. Cabinets had to be done 2 times. Counters also had to be done twice. Floor just sucks but they tried polishing it up. I learned Lowes does not have«hold backs» which is the customer holding half the money up front. Since you pay everything you don’t have leverage if they don’t finish. Extremely unprofessional and will not use them again.

They have oh-so-much Christmas paraphernalia! That’s what I like to see from a home-improvement store. They also have a pretty nice selection of plants. One would have a difficult time discerning a Lowe’s from a Home Depot on the inside — they’re both pretty similar. But there’s something about Lowe’s that I prefer, and I try to go to them over HD. I like this Lowe’s because the parking lot is HUGE, and the building is all by itself, so it’s really easy to get in and get out.

Just bought/had assembled a storage shed. Had wanted one for years and finally did it. Worth the money to have the Lowe’s subcontractors assemble it, versus DIY. We purchased a Heartland Shed. The man who put it together did so in about 5 hours; it would have taken us two days!

The employees are quite friendly & knowledgeable. Dylan in the paint department was so helpful explaining the different types of paint available & the best uses for each kind. We had 4 gallons of paint to mix & it was ready in about 15 – 20 mins. The paint selection was vast & the biggest problem we had was choosing the colors we wanted to use. We also found curtains similar to ones I’d seen at another store but they were less expensive here… so we bought them and the rod/accessories needed for our patio door. We will definitely return to the Carmel Lowe’s to get the rest of our paint, curtains & anything else that comes up in our home’s makeover.

Bought a new front door and paid for installation. The door was $ 144 but the installation was over $ 600. It took them over 2 weeks to come and install it, and I was only able to get it scheduled by calling and asking them about installation date repeatedly. Then they came to install and were incredibly unfriendly and short with me. Also, I purchased an oil rubbed bronze door handle but the hinges with the door were nickel, which apparently come standard with the door. The installer said I could have bought different hinges for them to install, to which I replied: How would I have known to do that?! Poor customer service!!! Also my storm door didn’t fit with the new door. When the installer came to measure before coming back to install he asked me about the storm door: Do you want to keep this storm door? To which I replied: If it will work with the new door, yes. He said it would. It did not… Ugh. Horrible experience.

The people here are incredible. The amount of service you receive from all the well meaning employees is what helps make home projects so much fun. There is nothing like asking the experts for tips and tricks! Love all the people and the services they provide! While no necessarily«local», the amount of service makes it feel like the neighborhood hardware store vs the«big box» store!

While I am an employee at Lowe’s, I’ve been a lifetime customer here. And after recently walking through a nearby large hardware store and being unpleasantly surprised, I feel I should give a quick review of Lowe’s. Lowe’s is extremely well staffed, well organized, and almost overly helpful. Their commercial/pro services section is very well staffed, with each individual knowing everything the customer needs for their projects. They open really early and close really late. The floors and bathrooms are clean and you can tell that the employees actually enjoy working there. I give it 5 stars because I honestly cannot think of a single con. Like I said, I am employed here, but even if I wasn’t, I’d still have the exact same opinion. When examining other«Big Box» home improvement stores, there’s just no comparison.

I have had two doors installed via Lowe’s installer service, both doors purchased there as well. The staff is very knowledgeable re: tax rebates on certain doors, best installation practices, how to handle custom orders. My first order was the result of months of searching to find an economical, quality storm door with a retractable screen that would fit a doggie door. Custom orders ranged between $ 800-$ 1200 without installation at various places! Working with Lowe’s I found they could install their $ 25 dog door in a standard $ 99 storm door. Chuck helped to get that set up and he is a master at his work. I’ve had that door in heavy use for a year and it has held up wonderfully. Next, I replaced a non-shatterproof sliding door with a beautiful set of french doors. Will in millwork helped with the order and scheduling and was calling me daily until we got it all worked out. I will be doing more work with them in the future and I recommend you use them too.
