One of many things I truly miss about living on the Peninsula. I worked down the street from Knapp so I stopped in often when we needed something.
Colin and his staff were ALWAYS super friendly and never failed to help even worth the smallest purchase. Stores like this are priceless!

I’ve been meaning to review this establishment after ½ dozen trips.
This place is a little gem, in fact, like a Tardis and actually in most cases has been cheaper than Home Depot or OSH.
So if you are local you know about this place, if you are a visitor it’s not fancy but I would encourage you picking up house and garden supplies and not fearing the Carmel price worry. Gr8 little place and not subscribing to the ‘shop local and I can charge more’ mentality ! #nice

One of the remaining ‘local’ hardware stores on the Monterey peninsula. Stocked with products to assist with home improvement projects. Great location across from Sunset Center. Staff they knows their stuff!

Very helpful local store. I had a squeeky bed and the nice clerk gave me an easy solution. Only 6 blocks from our new place, so now I plan to walk there more often!

Very helpful! I was renting a place in Carmel and the front door light burned out so I needed a bulb. The hardware store only had 6 packs of bulbs so they broke the box up and sold me just one bulb like I needed. I didn’t gave to waste $ buying unneeded bulbs. Also the staff was very friendly.

This is a great «little shop of hardware» nestled on the corner across from Sunset Center. SO convenient for locals and for the contractors who are always here remodeling the beach homes. Knapp has limited selections in each category — but quality items and reasonable prices and a VERY helpful staff.

Very small, very handy little hardware store that is packed solid with every convenience you could possibly need for a quick fix or repair in your house.
I lived next door for a while and needed several things during the course of a week, including new keys, new locks, cleaning supplies, etc. etc. etc.
The boys that work there are extremely sweet and very knowledgeable. They’re helpful when you need it and hands off when you don’t.
A great hidden place for handymen and women alike.
