What a great restaurant! This is one of my favorite places at Clay Terrace. The food menu selection is wide and offers a variety of diverse yet interesting choices. We tried the Southwest Cornbread and it was amazing. You can taste the chillis and the sweetness of the bread while the orange butter complemented it well. My husband absolutely love the clam chowder. The presentation was great and the bacon bits complemented the soup well. I ordered their daily special which was the pineapple and macademia Mahi-Mahi on a bed of sticky rice. It was delish! My hubby ordered the smoked sirloin steak as well as the prime rib and he loved it(under their small plates section). Our son ordered the grilled salmon in the kids menu which came with orange slices, milk, fries and a sundae. The salmon was grilled well and our son loved it. For dessert, I ordered the waffle sundae all for myself and finished it of course. My husband ordered their crème brûlée version of a dessert. He didn’t quite finished it because it was too big, thick and creamy, plus it was really meant to be shared with other people. Overall, the place is top notch. Service was excellent and the manager checked on our table. We were seated immediately and there’s plenty of parking. The items are moderately priced and the atmosphere is ideal for a family get together, dinner date, celebration, etc.

Very good dinner, lobster bisque was exceptional. Waiter was very attentive and the meal was delicious. Definitely will visit again.

Good spot. Don’t get salmon bisque; what I got was too fatty tasting, big glob of butter, crème fresh and bisque was not tasteful(IMO) BUT do get the clam chowder, it was balanced and tasty. Barman was quick to spot my not liking the salmon bisque and offered chowder as substitute and a manager comp’d it — good for him. Did the small plates after soup. Scallops and prime rib. Both were well prepared. The scallops were especially good as they were not over cooked and still velvety smooth. Barman made this review 4 vs 3 stars b/c quick reaction and adjust on soup.

I was looking for a nice restaurant for my family to go to for a Mother’s Day celebration and came across Kincaid’s on Open Table. We decided to give it a shot and made a reservation. I was a little surprised when we arrived because this was a $$$ restaurant but the atmosphere was very casual. I figured it was because it was Mother’s Day and there were probably more kids around then usual. We were seated within a few minutes of arriving which was nice. Our waitress brought us water to start with. My dad and I both noticed that it tasted a little weird. When she came back to take our orders we asked if they put something sweet into their water and she said no. She explained that what had probably happened was that they serve their Mango Iced Tea out of the same kind of pitchers so someone must have grabbed a iced tea pitcher and filled it with water… She did bring us new waters but it seemed like a mistake that shouldn’t have been made at a restaurant like that. My parents both ordered the beef tenderloins and I ordered the seafood salad. My parents said the tenderloins were good but the pineapple was supposed to be extremely spicy and both my parents said it wasn’t spicy at all. My salad was good but nothing special. I was excited to eat somewhere different and for the prices they charge for their food, I had high expectations. I have to say that there are a lot of other places I’d choose to eat before I would go back to Kincaid’s.

Again, Yelllllllp, I wish I could do half stars! I would give this place a 2.5 out of 5 for sure. The service was exceptional but for a Saturday night in Carmel, it was DEAD. I was quite surprised b/c whenever my hubby and I go out we usually can’t get in anywhere up here. However, we managed to get a reservation on Open Table two hours in advance for 8! Seating was awesome. They sat us at an oversized large round table. I almost pre-requested this but were given it anyway. I am very happy when they think ahead about how 4 couples would enjoy sitting. I hate restaurants that put you at super long tables where you can’t chat with half the table without yelling so this was perfect. The other thing was the service — amaze-balls. I was very pleased with our server and would go back for him. However, to my disappointment, the prices are way high for the quality of food which explains why this restaurant was not packed to the gill with Carmelites. There is WAY too much to choose from and it’s clear they aren’t great at any of it. I did enjoy my filet but the rest of my seafood/steak combo for $ 40 fell flat. Good thing I was starving. My hubby’s short ribs were lackluster and more like a roast. The corn mix underneath my tiger prawns were soggy and odd. I am not sure what was going on there and everything was overwhelmingly under-seasoned. The best part of my meal was the bottle of wine, which Kincaids obviously had little to do with. The other great part was hanging out with three other couples and having a babysitter at home to take care of our kids. I love adults night out. I hate when food ruins an otherwise perfect evening.

I have been to Kincaid’s 3 – 4 times now, all while out on business. My last visit happened to be on Valentine’s Day with two co-workers. I was prepared for a long wait, cold food… whatever. It was Valentine’s Day. Well, the wait was indeed long in the dining room(on a side note, I’ve never had difficulty getting a table in the past). However, we snagged a table in the bar and our server was helpful and attentive. The food was delicious. I always get the filet and it is always good, but the fish and prime rib ordered by my co-workers was also reported as delicious. I appreciate the consistent quality of the food and friendliness of the staff. I do hope to see them expand their wine list in the future, but it isn’t at all bad. Two thumbs up from me — I love this place!

I had their $ 10 lunch special today and based on the flavor, it was underpriced. It’s quite possibly the best thing I’ve eaten in weeks. The dish was a smoked chicken tamale served over a base of sauteed corn and peppers with a pool of BBQ sauce on the side. top. The tamale included polenta and there was a drizzle of chipotle sour cream on top. This was a business lunch and one of my lunch companions had the fish tacos and raved about them too. The atmostphere is great for a quiet lunch. Service was excellent.

This is a great place to bring business clientele. The food: It really depends who the chef is when dining at Kincaid’s. They have many wonderful solid dishes, like: any salmon dish, the steak salad, and their Smoked Kobe Beef Chili Dog — out of this world good. Many of their desserts are lacking, though. For example, the chocolate cake should go bye-bye. They brag that their coffee is the best, but I know good coffee and this isn’t it. Their steaks can be good or not(again, it depends who’s grilling them up), so I tend to stay away from the steak. Ruth Chris is the place to eat steak in Indiana, period.

Had a business dinner here the other night. Host staff was friendly and quick. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Service of food was a little slow, but the filet and mushroom ravioli special was quite good. My medium filet was slightly overcooked, but still very good. Salad had very good dressing as well. I would eat here again.

Seems we never pick the right restaurant. Tonight we nailed it! The food was great. I had the filet and my wife had salmon. The service was even better. Our server spent several minutes helping us decide, and she knew the menu inside and out. The entire staff was very friendly. Finished off with a giant piece of cheesecake(share it!). We’ll be back,

Food = bleh. Service = met expectations. 2 pple dining. BBQ shrimp a total waste. Ribeye tough and over cooked. Asked for a dry, big red wine but received something sweet and grapejiucy. Nice atmosphere but if you are gonna drop a couple Benjamins venture elsewhere.

I just come here for the Happy Hour specials, half off selected appetizers and drinks. It’s just a fun place to chill and hang out with your friends. If the weather permits ask to be seated outside. They have a variety of appetizers such as chicken wings, oysters, calamari, crab dip, scallop, and etc. I always have a great time with my friends for hours here and never been really disappointed with the appetizers.

What has happened here!!! I used to enjoy this resturant. I went for a Sunday dinner and the experience was horrible. First of all, someone thought it would be a great idea to change the menu. It is now very bland and few choices. The portion sizes have been scaled down and the presentation was non-exsistant.I ordered the seared. jumbo scallops which in the past were wonderful. Nothing seared or jumbo here. I got five pasty white small scallops which were cold in the center. The manger did write off the bill for my wife and daughter but, this place is going down.

Wasn’t expecting much from this restaurant that touts that it can cook it all. This place most resembles most of your run-of-the-mill expensive steakhouse. The differentiator is the menu, which is extensive outside of the steaks. All around the food tasted good and very few of us ordered a steak. The only problem seemed to be the kitchen speed. Food came out excruciatingly slow, which is usually unnoticeable when there are 12 people in deep conversation. It took probably more than 30 minutes for entrees to arrive after the appetizers. This is inexcusable when there are plenty of empty tables. even if there are a few large parties. 3 stars for the food, which was good but not special and 2 off for the slow, slow service

Last night, I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with my husband at Kincaid’s in the Carmel Clay Terrace mall. We’ve been fans of Kincaid’s for years, their food is always good if sometimes un-inspired, and the service is outstanding. It’s been a reliable place to go when we want to treat ourselves, without having to head into Indianapolis. On this trip, we were pleased to discover a new menu, it’s been completely revitalized. The emphasis is still on steak and fish, but Kincaid’s now offers a larger variety of appetizers and«small plates.» They have more sides to choose from, as well. We shared the grand tasting sampler as our main course, supplemented with a side of crispy panko-breaded asparagus. The sampler included home-made potato chips with parmesan and truffle oil, chili rubbed and shrimp, ahi tuna roll, teriyaki sirloin bites, and scallops with tuna tartare. The sampler was just the right amount for the two of us. The scallops were the star, perfectly seared, sweet, and topped with the tuna. The ahi tuna rolls were the only disappointment, with the center being cooked more medium than the rare it should be, and a pretty bitter minced nori wrapper. The potato chips were everything you’d want in a chip … crispy, salty, and with a lovely earthy taste from the truffle and parmesan … thankfully, they come as a side with other dishes, too. Having saved room for dessert, my husband ordered the hot fudge sundae, and I had the«lemon and lime,» a small scoop of lemon sorbet and a slice of their outstanding key lime pie. I asked for the lemon sorbet to be served, but the pie to go … the little bit of sorbet was the perfect ending to the meal, and we enjoyed the pie as part of our lunch today. My husband’s sundae was vanilla ice cream served over a warm waffle, topped with candied pecans, strawberries, hot fudge and butterscotch syrup. Oh my goodness, we had forgotten how good butterscotch could be! We literally licked the plate clean(well, we used our spoons to scrape the plate). The waffle was unfortunate … the flavor was a good malted buttermilk, but the texture was soggy. Had it been more crispy, the dessert would’ve been perfect. We liked Kincaid’s before, but now we’re really looking forward to return and try more items from their new menu. And once again, the service was outstanding.

Tis the season for some late afternoon holiday cheer on a blustery day. Drinks are good and they even have Blue Moon Belgian White on tap — that is very good. The bar is spacious, well stocked and well attended and the place is nice and clean with good service. Why 2 stars you ask? Well… I’ll telly you why(of course I will). Here’s the deal. The tag line says«Fish, Chop, And Steak House». So with fish in front, I’m thinking fish-n-chips is a sure thing — WRONG. The fish-n-chips was small of portion, high on breading and low on flavor with tiny fries and not even cole slaw on the side — what kind of fish joint are they running anyway??? Stick with the drinks at happy hour.

This was my first visit while on a business trip. I had the filet which was easily the best I have ever eaten. Melted in my mouth. I wish I had ordered it medium well rather than medium but that was my own fault. The mashed potatoe and asparagus sides were excellent. The only complaint I have is the fly that kept annoying us the entire time. That almost ruined it for me.

Like a lot of overpriced steakhouses, they are not worth the hype. They are part of a small chain that also includes Palomino’s in Indianapolis. My wife had the baby back ribs and I ate a few. They are obviously not smoked but boiled & broiled. The sauce is good but not memorable. I had the Rock Salt prime rib. It has a slightly different taste than most prime ribs and was enjoyable. As with most prime rib dinners, ½ of the 16 ounces was fat and wasted. I would not order it again as it was not worth the $ 38. We ordered two sides, creamed spinach and mac & cheese. Both were terrible. The creamed spinach was not creamed but boiled then covered in a cream sauce that was runny. The mac & cheese was nothing more than elbow mac put in a bowl and covered with the same cream sauce that the non-creamed spinach had. For the $ 118(with one cocktail each) that we spent, it was not worth it. Spend your c-Note somewhere else. If the bill was $ 50, it would be more in line with the quality of the food. As a side note, the wait staff was great. I can’t say enough nice things about them.
