We have bought most of our furniture from Godbys. We were on the search for a mattess. WE started at Godbys and worked with a very nice salesman I believe his name was Daniel or Danny. We left with several prices and stated we would be back later. A week later we were pricing at other stores and decided to return to Godbys. As we walked in we were greeted and we told the lady we are working with Danny. She stated let me tell him your here. We said no thanks not yet as we wanted to look without the salesman. We no sooner got to the mattress section and he appeared. We left ASAP. I scanned the area as we walk in as he was no where to be found. He can blame his co-worker for a lost sale

Bought a lot of furniture from the old store on US31 in Westfield. Godby had a great opportunity to take over the vacated O’Malia’s space in this shopping center. They also had another space in this shopping center that they used as a «scratch and dent» outlet for years. The new store is loaded with furniture and everyone is nice here. Recently got a new living room set and a big stuffed chair here. Not sure how much service you need from a furniture store; I go in and buy something, they deliver it and that’s about it. Prices are reasonable, certainly not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Have a sofa/loveseat combo from here that is 20 years old and looks as good as the day it was delivered.

I don’t have a problem with Godby. I purchased furniture from their Avon/Plainfield(whichever one it is) store, and I had a nice visit to the Carmel store to look at various items. They have a decent selection, and the staff was helpful without being pushy. The store is much bigger than it appears from the outside. Their selection of mattresses is smaller than Macy’s or Kittles.

Some time ago, we set out on a quest to buy new bedroom furniture. Apparently, we wanted to be conscientious consumers and impress ourselves by finding something at a discount… right! We started at Godby because it’s close to home and because a former boyfriend of mine had once told me about finding some good stuff here. I don’t think I’ll ever return to this store. Though I didn’t expect a ton of service, we had NONE. Most items were also scratched and dented beyond what would have been acceptable for use in anything other than a dorm room or first apartment. Definitely not the place to shop for furnishing your freshly-painted master bedroom!
