Now I know where this past year’s intriguing Penrod signage came from, that motley array of colors and graceful fonts that delicately invoked Monty Python: Eric Kass.
Kass is a nationally renowned artist. His works can be seen from Claddagh Irish Pub downtown to national design magazines like Communication Arts Design.
Walk into his small, one-​room Carmel shop. The retro-​minimalist patterned wallpaper you see here is also carried in California boutiques. The framed graphic wall art can be yours for a relative steal. And if you want that bottle-​and-​rope installation suspended in the middle of the shop, well, that can be yours, too.
