I’ve been coming here for about three years and I’ve had nothing but great appointments/experiences…even in their temporary location after the fire. Mel is fantastic, and has transitioned me from and overly blonde color to a rich brown that is a better version of natural color! Shampoo BEDS instead chairs are awesome, scalp massages are great, and everyone is so friendly. I have referred several people here and will continue to do so!

I enjoyed my haircut, the hot green tea, and the massage during the hair wash. Be prepared to be here all day though, they take their time. Very giving individuals. The rinse sinks are in a dark room with beds, very intimate, some people might not be prepared. A scalp massage feels great, though. I thought the girl doing my hair was brilliant at fixing my color, and didn’t let me do overall color, but highlights to fix a blonde-​to-​brown that went wrong. I will probably go back, however I received a groupon the first time, and their services are pricey.

I would probably give this salon a 2 star review, but I did get a VERY last minute appointment the weekend before Valentine’s day. I called at 11 and they got me in at 12. I assumed I would be getting someone who didn’t have a huge client list and b/​c I have a ton of hair and a pretty easy going attitude about my hair, I don’t really mind.
I have not had my hair cut since August so I wanted someone to guide me down the right path based on my lifestyle now. However, I got someone who was not quite confident telling me what I needed. I had to guide her which ended up being fine.
I found a couple of things odd about this place. First, they asked me to put on a smock UNDERNEATH the apron. I don’t know why I need two protective layers, especially since I wasn’t getting color, but whatever.
Second, I didn’t enjoy my hair wash. They gave me a very hot towel to hold that was soaking wet. I could not put it down anywhere. I think it was supposed to relax me, but all it did was make my hands hot and wet. Odd.
Third, my hair cut took FOREVER… nearly an hour and a half. I know that my hair is long and thick but the girl didn’t seem very skilled in blowing it out. She also missed some pieces and I snipped them off when I got home.
She was very lovely and nice to me, but I will not be calling her back. She was a bit too young and inexperienced and didn’t seem confident in what she was doing. When you are cutting hair, I think some skills are just imperative to have and KNOWING the trends and styles people want are also important.
My hair cut was not awful. It was just nothing special either. I think it looks fine, but nothing that would make me go back.
